Great location right off 90. 5 minutes to big box retailers and chain restaurants if you need something. 8 minutes to downtown Rapid City. Easy drive to Mt. Rushmore, Custer, Crazy Horse, and The Badlands. Close to all the fun stuff on 16 (Reptile Gardens, Bear Country USA, etc.). The hotel is super clean. Rooms are spacious and clean. Plenty of towels. Huge bathroom. The staff was friendly and happy to give recommendations. We were there 5 nights and couldn't believe how quiet it was. Housekeeping every day unless you don't want it. Standard hotel breakfast, but had plenty of choices. Firepit and seating at the back of the hotel. You can walk to Scooters for coffee. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Easy access to highway, gas station, restaurants. Lighting in park lit good, felt safe. Extras to buy at front desk little mini store. Clean room , clean bed, comfortable , ice and laundry close to get at. . We stay here when we come visit. We really enjoyed our stay. People guests nice. Sufficient parking for everyone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 I had a great stay at Best Western Plus Rapid City Rushmore! The hotel is conveniently located on the edge of the city, which made driving around super easy—whether I was heading into town or exploring the surrounding area. The parking lot is huge, so no stress finding a spot. Inside, everything was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. One of the highlights for me was the amazing breakfast—they had a great variety, and I especially loved the Greek yogurt (seriously, that was a nice surprise!). There were a lot of little things that added up to a really comfortable stay. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel if you're in the area.

We highly recommend this hotel. The customer service is outstanding— they really go at the extra mile to make sure you are happy. The bed is very comfortable, and the room spacious and clean. They have an excellent breakfast, far better than most. And we especially appreciated how quiet it was. The hotel is set back a block and a half from a busy highway and two blocks from the freeway on the side of it. We slept like babies because it was so peaceful and quiet – – a perfect location! We will stay here again in a heartbeat!

Nice and close to everything in the Black Hills. Our room had Jacuzzi tub. The staff was super nice.

We were in room 106 which is one of the first rooms from the front desk. It was a suite that came with a whirlpool tub (although we didn’t use that). The room was very clean and very spacious. The furniture was in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable. It came with a mini fridge and mini microwave and a Keurig. It was steps from 24 hour coffee. Next to the laundry room, two doors down from a small gym, two doors down from a hot tub and pool both of which were very clean. Certainly you can’t comment on what noise might be depending on people who are staying here, but our six nights stay was quiet and perfect. The front desk pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. Parking was close. Location to small grocery store and restaurants was 2 min. drive. Reasonable drive to all major attractions.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful, gave suggestions of places to eat and directions, etc. The room, the pool area and dining area were all very clean and well kept. Breakfast was good, lots of options; the coffee was great too...coffee syrups along with cream and sugar, definitely a notch above regular hotel coffee. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was roomy. Had a little sink near the microwave and mini fridge. It was very reasonably priced and a good location, centralized to a lot places we were visiting. Would stay here again for sure!

Maybe the nicest Americinn I've ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable, great parking, very nice breakfast bar and a super friendly & competent staff. Easy short walk into Hill City. A few chairs & tables outside for after dinner cocktails. Highly recommend. It's on our list for next time.

Comfortable and well equipped room quiet to the main Street and other guest rooms. . Convenient to all attractions. Free parking. Onsite restaurants and convenience store and lounge. Breakfast was excellent and varied daily. Coffee very good. The breakfast attendant was responsive and pleasant to all customers. Convenient to trolley stop and Visitor Center. Customer service top notch--checkin agents followed up with text to confirm customer satisfaction on day of arrival and day2.

Checking in was a very easy and fast process. The staff were polite and helpful. We stayed in the king suite room. Lots of space and perfect for 2 people or more. The only downside to the room were the flat pillows. Even stacking two pillows didn’t help. Had to come back and update the review after showering. Amazing water pressure. The problem with the shower faucet is in order to turn it on, you have to reach all the way into the back of the shower. Breakfast was in a keyed access room, which ensures only guest use it. Several options to choose from and overall pretty good. The casino is big. Good location and a short walk to the other places on Main Street. Would stay here again. Parking is directly across the street. If the first lot is full, have to park further down. Not too far of a walk.

From the minute we walked in the door & were greater by Morgan, our experience was amazing. She was so polite & helpful. Our room was fabulous, looking out to deer eating along the hill, the bathroom was gorgeous with a huge glass shower, and the beds were so comfy. The breakfast was delicious with SO many options to choose from.

This was a great hotel! Very clean and friendly staff. The two young men working the checkin desk were helpful and very friendly. The casino was clean and fun. It had a great location- on Main Street. We were able to walk to the historic downtown. If we return we will stay here again.

Ended up being an excellent 3-night stay after two cleanliness issues upon arrival. The hotel manager dealt with the issues in a professional and helpful manner as soon as he became aware and the rest of our stay was excellent! We had a spacious king suite and for the most part, was quiet. At the time of year we were there, other guests seemed to be couples and a large number of government or contract workers who were quiet and left early in the morning. We especially liked the safe and quiet location on the hill which also had safe walking areas; a Walmart and fast food was just a mile or two down the hill. Breakfast was usual HIX fare and was well maintained. We would definitely stay here again and if not for the initial issues I would have rated it a high 5!

This was a pleasant surprise!! We booked this last minute on our trip as our travel plan changed. When I went in to check in the friendly so helpful young lady at the front desk was so polite, efficient and professional. Loved that she smiled and was so welcoming. Every staff person was smiling and welcoming. Breakfast was so good and so many choices. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. Location was also a surprise. Loved that it was close to attractions like Mt Rushmore, but not congested like downtown area. Will be staying there on future trips.

Our stay at the Staybridge Suites Rapid City - Rushmore, an IHG Hotel, was absolutely fantastic! The hotel provided everything we could have hoped for during our visit to Rapid City. The suites were spacious, beautifully clean, and equipped with all the comforts of home, making our stay feel extra special. The jacuzzi tub located near the pool was the best on our 4 state visit. One of the highlights of our stay was Doug, who managed the kitchen. He went above and beyond each day, making sure the breakfast was always fresh, well-stocked, and delicious. Doug’s warm and friendly approach created such a welcoming atmosphere, and his attention to detail made the morning experience exceptional. The location was ideal for exploring Rapid City and the Black Hills area, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring we had a wonderful stay. We stayed for 5 nights in a studio King and really enjoyed the hotel. It is clean and modern with very friendly staff. Our room was clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. We had ample storage space for our belongings. The kitchen was modern with stove top, refrigerator and microwave, plus coffee maker. All the kitchen supplies we needed were there. Wifi signal was reliable. The free breakfast had many options and the scones were delicious. We also attended the social hours Mon-Wed evenings and while the food wasn't super healthy (think high-school cafeteria fare like chili, sloppy joes, pulled pork), we appreciated the effort and free drinks. The gym was modern and spacious, with a couple of treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, dumbbells and a pulley machine. The only drawback is that the lights automatically shut off several times when I was on the treadmill. While there is a free laundry area, several machines were broken the week that we stayed. Location of the hotel is convenient to shopping and there's a Super WalMart within walking distance. We would definitely return for a long-term stay.

It was a nice surprise that this hotel does a social hour Mon-Wed with free dinner, wine and beer. A full all you can eat buffet style dinner that was delicious. Breakfast was fantastic and different each day. Ive never seen a hotel breakfast buffet do country fried steak and gravy, have fill fruit and yogurt bar, bacon, eggs, omlettes, sausage, biscuits and gravy along with all the usual hotel breakfast staples. The pool & hot tub were perfect & the outdoor firepit was peaceful and turned on nightly. It is the perfect location right by all the shopping centers and restaurants. Grocery stores within walking distance. The room was great & clean. Nice full kitchen with included dishes, pots and pans, dishwasher and full size fridge/freezer. We will definitely be staying here again!

If you need a nice hotel to stay at, look no further than the Staybridge Suite Hotel in Rapid City. Waking up for breakfast you will be greeted by Doug and his team in the breakfast room. A great variety of food to choose from, the breakfast will not disappoint. Doug will give you the list of available food to choose from, Doug and his team do a great job on making your breakfast tasty and enjoyable. After seeing the sites around Rapid City, we came back to see the staff vacuuming the hallways and cleaning the windows. The rooms are clean and comfortable. After breakfast or dinner enjoy sitting outside for a quiet and relaxing rest by the fire pit. I couldn't of been more pleased with my stay at the Staybridge, the management and staff should be congratulated for a five ( 5 ) star experience and look forward to coming back sometime in the future. The stay made our trip that much more enjoyable.

The hotel property has a Jacuzzi Tub and a Pool that is great for family and friends.

We started our trip to the Bighorns, Yellowstone, Tetons, Bozeman, and Devil's Tower/Black Hills here. It was a wonderful place to base upon arrival at the Rapid City Airport. The pool and hottub were great, and the suite offered plenty of room for our group of 5.

The rooms are nice size with a somewhat separated sitting area. Jacuzzi worked well. Good for getting on the way to the Black Hills without going through town. Good rate this time of year.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple days. The front desk employees were very nice and friendly. Our room was on the first floor near the pool. Even though the pool closed at 10:00 p.m. there were still children screaming in the hall. I would suggest you don’t stay on the first floor. The room was very spacious with a full-size sofa. The beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was good. The room also had a mini refrigerator, microwave and a safe. The breakfast was excellent, and it was by far the best we ever had at a hotel that was complimentary. The lady that is responsible for this this area did a wonderful job keeping everything stocked and cleaning the tables once people left. They had a pool and exercise room here as well. There were several restaurants within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if were in the area.

The hospitality was outstanding, very friendly and helpful staff. The suite we booked was spacious, modern and very clean. The kingsize bed was the right mixture between soft and firm. Breakfast was good, nothing special, but sufficient and complementary. Cold breakfast in buffet style and hot breakfast on request. Ideally situated close to the freeway exit and only about 10 miles from the city of deadwood.

Days Inn Spearfish is the perfect lodging for budget conscious adults. Things we loved: Good value Hot breakfast Friendly, responsive staff Excellent mattresses and pillows Light weight layers of bedding Clean tile floors in rooms, clean hvac filters, no odors, Eco-friendly shampoo and conditioner dispensers Sturdy cups Main floor rooms with two doors, one directly to our parking spot, the other to the hallway for sheltered access to lobby, breakfast, and guest laundry. Lack of a pool means families aren’t staying, so quiet and calm stay.

I stopped here for the night in Spearfish after a fun day in the Black Hills before heading to Devils Tower the next day. My room had no smell. The bed was comfortable; I slept well. The wifi, TV, and fridge all worked, as did the air conditioner. The water was hot. The breakfast included sausage, eggs, bananas, apples, yogurt, toast, plain donut holes, cereal, a pancake machine, coffee, and juice. Some unusual things: the room had both an exterior and interior door (which I really liked but had never seen before), there were "guest" washrags for makeup removal, and the sausage and eggs at breakfast are served at the reception desk. Overall, I had a pleasant stay.

First time in Spearfish, on my way to the Custer battlefield in Montana (from Nebraska). Good price, clean, quiet, comfortable beds and pillows, great shower, simple but good continental breakfast (cereal, yogurt, toast, donuts, milk, juice, coffee, pancake maker). Near grocery store, pharmacy, fast-food, and near downtown. A few miles from hiking trails and scenic areas off the highway.

Everything was so clean and maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My stay was short but wonderful. Having a grassy area & clean up bags for my dog was very appreciated. The beds we very comfy and lots of pillows. I would stay again

Always love staying here. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed for an older hotel, and a comfortable armchair is always appreciated! The beds are very comfortable. Front desk is helpful and friendly, breakfast is good and the outdoor patio is a nice option. The pools are terrific, and the little gift shop is fun for tourists. Parking is convenient and hotel is close to a grocery store and restaurants. Our favorite was Mangiamo for wood-fired pizza!

Overall we were very happy with our stay at this hotel. It is in a perfect location for seeing all the area sites and activities. We stayed in a double queen suite with a small kitchenette and separate living room area. It was important to me to have both of those for our stay. The kitchenette had lots of storage but the fridge was typical hotel size and did not regulate temperature well (started off pretty warm and then everything froze by the end of our stay). The beds were comfortable and the room was very well sized for our needs (family of 4 - two adults and two kids). I appreciated the large closet and additional room storage as well. It was nice to have two pools to enjoy but both were pretty cold. The kids didn't mind but I was not interested in hopping in. The hot breakfast was also a great perk although not much variety after 5 days there. It was a standard fare of waffles, eggs, and sausage along with cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit and juice. It was a little disappointing to see the espresso bar advertised on the site was not up and running and clearly hadn't been for a while. We would likely stay here again in the future and have recommended it to friends/family who are looking to do a trip similar to ours.

The pool area was very clean and perfect for our grandchildren. Luggage carriers were always available for going to the second floor. Housecleaning staff were always friendly in the hallways. The onsite casino added some fun for the adults, while the small pizza place was a great late-night snack option. The pool and hot tub were a perfect way to relax after exploring Deadwood. We also loved the free Foosball table, which kept our son entertained! The continental breakfast was better than expected—fresh and convenient for starting our day. Great location trolly picks up to go downtown. Convenient place to stay near downtown. The lady at the breakfast bar, made sure everything was stocked. I chose this hotel for my 82-year-old Dad and I because it was quieter than downtown and my Dad could enjoy smoking his pipe on the outdoor deck overlooking the stream. The staff were great - very chatty and friendly, including the lady who ran the casino. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel has a slightly odd layout - the entrances and front desk are between floors so you have short flight of steps either up or down to get to your room (like a double-decker train) and to get to breakfast on the right by the deck (or to the casino ahead which has the pizzeria) you need to walk past the pool. The pool itself was a little cool but the hot tub was pretty hot and very relaxing. Breakfast was excellent, especially the freshly baked cinnamon rolls. The trolley (bus) stop is outside the hotel which is useful if you want to avoid parking downtown, which was limited. There's a lot to see in Deadwood so I recommend staying at least two nights.

There's so much to see and do in the town of Deadwood, that I was Happ I picked a hotel a bit out of town. The room was quiet, bed was comfortable, TV and water pressure in shower worked. Great location next to the trail and also on the trolley route. Breakfast was ok but there weren't many fresh fruit options - just apples. The cinnamon rolls are delicious.

This hotel is located close to the Tesla superchargers at HyVee Foods so being close to convenient charging was one of the reasons we chose the Holiday Inn Express. The facility was clean and quiet and the staff who greeted us was friendly. Breakfast area was clean and spacious and there was a good variety of foods from which to choose. The warm cinnamon rolls were wonderful!

Booked through Costco along with our rental car. What a great value! We needed space for 5 (Grandma, Mom and Dad & 2 teens) and they had a 2 queen bed with pullout sofa bed and it was perfect for us. Location was great, property was superb and clean, location near mall was great for us and a Dollar Store nearby for those last minute travel items we had forgotten! Pool and hot tub were quiet and clean and nice. Wanted to book again for our return trip back home through Sioux Falls but wasn't able to get the same room I think something was going on as it was booked. Great property and very happy with it. Oh yes - breakfast was hot with lots of options, french toast, pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juices. We couldn't ask for anything else, great place!!

We've stayed here twice now. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing and free! Parking is convenient. It's close to a LOT of shopping! We wont stay anywhere else when we are in Sioux Falls.

Safe, quiet, clean, and affordable. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with a smile and at minimum, a “hello”. Breakfast had a good variety, pool area was clean and well-maintained.

Location and amenities at the hotel were great. Lots of options of things to do and tours pick you up at the hotel. Really convenient for vacationing in the area. Hotel staff were friendly, personable, and accommodating. We ordered from the dinner and breakfast menu at the restaurant. 4 out of 5 stars. I had the eggs Benedict and it could have used a tad more flavor, but good for a hotel breakfast. Much better than standard continental. Service and quality were great.

Besides being very clean, warmly decorated-the staff was very helpful---I haven't had this friendly competent and gracious a staff at a hotel in a couple of years--I travel quite a bit and I usually stay 4-5 star so these people are excellent. the pool was a big hit for my grandkids every night. the restaurant and morning buffet was excellent.

The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of the downtown area. There is ample parking space. The staff were polite and helpful and gave us an early check in. There were adequate, reasonable quality, towels. The kitchenette was useful. We rated the hotel at 4 star standard.

We stayed here on a Saturday night on our way back to Canada. When we arrived, we were greeted by Alexis (hope i spelt her name correctly) She noticed from our reservation that we had requested a quiet room on the top floor and indicated that they were extrely busy with a huge wedding and State Golf Tourney also, it took her a few minutes but she said i think I have the perfect room for you. She gave us a room at the end and upgraded us to a suite. The room was nice and very accomodating. Turned out the room was very quiet. Breakfast was another story. Even with 2 people trying to keep up with breakfast, they just couldn't. Cant fault the hotel as everyone came down for breakfast at the same time. We were able to get a bit to eat and were satisfied. Checkout and checkin was a breeze and alll staff that we encountered were very friendly. Although the room was great and the place was clean, as far as i'm concerned, the staff maked the difference.

This is a great hotel! Clean, breakfast was delicious, staff were super friendly and helpful! But a note for those looking for accessible rooms. There is only ONE with a walk in shower and you cannot confirm getting that room through Expedia. You MUST call the hotel and request that specific room. Get the room number and get it in writing if that is a must have. The other accessible room we saw had a short tub and handicap bars, but the bars were so low they were unusable for my mother. If you are in a wheelchair and able to move around they are probably perfect height for you. But not good for a senior with mobility issues. This is not just this hotel, this is a problem with many but wanted to tell you how we made it happen.

Stayed there for two nights. The hotel seems fairly new, very clean and friendly staff. Our room was on the 4th floor and was quiet, large, with comfortable beds. A large group of high school kids were there at the same time and we were assured our room was away from the group. It was and we didn't hear any noise. A/c worked great. Breakfast was typical of Hampton hotels with a decent variety, breakfast area was clean, staff friendly and seemed eager to do a good job. The price was very reasonable. the hotel is just on the edge of town so nicely located to access the town but easy to get to the highway. I would highly recommend this Hampton.

We had a great experience here. We stayed for just one night while on the road. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and very friendly. One of our better hotel experiences we've had in the last couple of years (we spend about 40 nights per year in hotels). I don't understand why anyone would feel unsafe in the area - it's mostly a large suburban-type shopping area. There were a few drawbacks - the coffee in the lobby wasn't refreshed, so it was lukewarm in the afternoon. The laundry didn't work, which was a bummer because we were counting on it. Finally, the breakfast was fairly limited, but most free hotel breakfasts are not that exciting. We would definitely stay here again.

Easy check in, great location to Badlands. Super nice helpful local staff at front desk. The pool & breakfast building was a separate building, which was nice. Super clean pool and hot tub area. We came in the snow, but there are TWO pools one indoor and one outdoor. Clean exercise area. The breakfast was very good, clean equipment & great selection. We loved the automatic pancake machine. We also appreciate the ‘truly’ ADA accessible room we rented, many other accommodations say ‘accessible’ and are not. They had lowered bed, wide door ways, open area under sink, ADA accessible thresholds, sturdy shower bench and accessible shower sprayer. The pool even had a working chair lift to get into the pool. We will be staying here again!

We had traveled all day, weary and tired. Checked in late. The staff was super friendly and courteous. The room was fresh, modern, well lit, and super clean. The bed was comfortable and breakfast very nice. The location is close to the interstate, restaurants, and shopping. Perfect!

The room was very comfortable, the beds, linens & pillows were really excellent. Everything was super clean, the room smelled fresh. The AC did a great job of keeping the room cool. Great water pressure, shower was very nice. The fridge in the room kept everything cold & there was a microwave but we didn't use it. Breakfast was decent, we had eggs & fried potatoes that were very tasty! & sausage patties with a green chile sauce that was homemade there. The breakfast lady explained to us that she alternates items every other day. There was really a lot to choose from, something for everyone. The breakfast room was clean & pleasant. Great proximity to a gas station, restaurants. The view of the Missouri River from the overlook in the parking lot was stunning. All in all, a good stay & a good value.

Wow this best western should be a Plus! Much better condition than a lot of Pluses. From the minute we walked in we felt welcome and at home. Front staff very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect. Nice and clean and roomy. The water park was huge with a big pool and hot hot tub. And a nice big kiddy pool with play structures and a big slide that I went down once. Lol got to dizzy to do it a second time. The breakfast was really nice and big and delicious. But what made the best western was the friendly helpful staff. One could tell they really cared.

I was told by some colleagues AFTER I'd booked my room here that the place wasn't worth it. Rundown, dirty, rude, etc... They had stayed there BEFORE it became BW. I'm happy to report all that has apparently changed because my stay was GREAT! The hotel had obviously been remodeled lately. The lobby and my room were both clean, modern, and pleasant. The clerk was very friendly and polite. I didn't have the time to use the INDOOR WATER PARK but it looked like a lot of fun. I ended up staying an extra night after I'd checked out so I had 2 different rooms. Equally as satisfying. I let my colleagues know it wasn't the same old place and was actually very nice now. I didn't use the breakfast but it did look like a good variety there...

The hotel was overall fairly clean, except that the coffee table in our room was dirty with food residue and the corners of the laminate were peeling. The carpets in the room also had what seemed to be the same food residue. The breakfast was the standard continental breakfast, everything was good and refreshed often. The pool area was well maintained, however, it was quite busy and very crowded most of the time. I would stay again, but maybe for more of a family getaway and not a couples weekend.

We booked this hotel as a last minute stop during our road trip. We arrived late at night and the gal at the desk was very friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the water park in the morning. Multiple staff members offered to open the slides for my boys as a special treat for them as it was not the normal slide hours. The staff were all so friendly and helpful.

Clean, comfortable beds, great view, balcony, delicious breakfast, great bathroom set up with shelves and the soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, set up was fabulous. Dog friendly.

I stayed here with my sisters for an overnight. Great location when attending a performance at the Orpheum. My sisters and I are older and the fact that there is a restaurat and bar in the hotel made our stay more enjoyable. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The only odd thing was that the back of the toilet was approximately 6 inches from the wall and made the shower access difficult. Anyone that I dealt with from booking all the way to check-out were pleasant and accommodating which seems to be a rare quality in customer service in this day and age. Congratulations to staff and management for that. Definitely would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were there to see a musical at the Pavilion. It was an easy walk from the hotel. Lots of good shops, restaurants and bars downtown. Plenty to do before our event.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. For breakfast they had the BEST scrambled eggs I’ve ever had at a hotel lobby breakfast. Staff was very friendly and it was awesome that we could have our dog with us for a small fee. Also the indoor pool/jacuzzi was nice.

When I got into town, it was late, I was tired as I was traveling for hours and when I checked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile and courtesy as I was being assisted by Jen the overnight Night hotel receptionist. Jen made my my checking process, smooth and seamless she even offered assistance by gaveling me advice on some of the questions that I had pertaining to the things I needed accomplish in the city. As a veteran and a person of color I really appreciate courtesy and professionalism whenever I travel and stay at hotels and I was grateful that Jen was all of the above and she showed it in her care, concern and mannerisms when interacting with me she made it easy for me to choose to stay at this hotel the entire time until I had accomplished what I came to do! The daytime receptionist Milan is also very professional, very helpful, very courteous, and he also helped me by giving me much needed information which helped me in accomplishing my task, both Jen and Milan made my stay here very special and memorable. The facilities are safe and the rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. It’s not a continental breakfast. It is a full hot breakfast with a lot to choose from. I will definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to the Sioux Falls area as you will not be disappointed, as the staff is completely professional and friendly! Book your say, I give them 5 stars, thank me later!

The gentleman at the desk gave us an (unasked for) upgrade to a larger room w a sofa. The sink/vanity area was a much bigger size as well. The towels were clean and fresh. The king sized bed was comfortable with nice soft, clean linens. The room temp didn't require tweaking even though the outside temp got into the teens that night. We slept very well! Lots of hot water in the shower and the bathroom was spotless! Breakfast consisted of waffles, biscuits and gravy, bacon and scrambled eggs, Oatmeal packets, fruit, pastries/donuts, yogurt, bread and bagels with water, coffee and juices available. There's an IHOP right across from the main entrance if one would prefer. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Exceptionally clean room as well as common areas in the hotel. It was easy to walk with my cane as it has a zero-step entrance which I very much appreciated. The front desk associate was pleasant and helpful in assuring us our room would be located near the entrance so as to not require a lot of walking due to recent knee pain.We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful offerings at the complimentary breakfast! It was impressive that they had some gluten free selections, as well as for lactose intolerant individuals. There was a wide variety of food options- literally something for everyone plus plenty of comfortable seating options. The pool area looked very accommodating and family friendly, although we didn’t use that facility. Very nice place to stay and highly recommend it for anyone.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly when I arrived. The room was clean, along with the rest of the hotel. The continental breakfast was good, appreciate the hard work of the ladies working it that week. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t as good as back home but the soaps in the shower were nice. I would stay here again.

Very clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, quiet rooms, fun pool for the kids, excellent value for the price.

The breakfast was disappointing. The last two times we have stayed the pancake maker did not work. The sausage tasted funny. We actually went down and ended up going back to our room and ordered Door Dash breakfast from McDonalds. The staff at the front desk was ALWAYS friendly but the lady working the breakfast bar was borderline rude and acted annoyed by us.

We came for the Stock Show in January. This hotel is in a great location to easily get around Rapid City. It was clean, updated and had friendly and helpful staff. We had some minor issues with our bathroom, but all were fixed promptly. A hot breakfast was most welcome.

What a beautiful bed and breakfast! The owner was warm, welcoming, gracious, and very accommodating. Our room and bathroom was large, very clean (the entire home was), and comfortable. There is a beautiful second floor deck to relax on. Breakfast was cooked to order by the owner and was delicious. The extra details; water,pop, snacks, special soaps/shampoos, extra towels, and a beautifully set table for breakfast made our stay even more special. We would return to Pierre just to stay at this property!

very nice room and comfortable bed. Deb, the owner, was very friendly and helpful at check in and gave dinner suggestions and even gave lotion when I asked where I could buy some. Shower was very nice and breakfast was cooked to order in the morning. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I had a great time visiting South Dakota the satay was amazing the host was very friendly breakfast was amazing and very tasteful room was clean comfortable. Overall we loved our stay if we travel again to South Dakota we will book out stay again….

Best breakfast of this 2 months long trip we are taking. Lovely room, comfy bed, great jetted bathtub! Nice amenities! Will stay again if we are ever in Pierre again! lovely town! Maybe just because of the jacuzzi tub. I will stay again here on next trip.

Everything with the atay was excellent.. we did not know till we checked in that they have a wine and beer happy hour for people that stay there..that was aweaome because it had been my husband birthday.. the only complaint we have is that we had a jacuzzi suite... and not all the jets worked in our tub.2 of them did not blow at all.. and it did not blow that fast just like stuck on a low. But everything else was amazing

Three of us stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was very enjoyable. The room was large with a couch, coffee table, desk & chair, lounge chair, long wooden luggage table. The beds were new and very comfortable. There was a coffee bar with a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and extra sink that was very convenient. The bathroom was large with good counter space, water pressure and storage. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much and appreciated the fact that it was open until 11 pm. The breakfast is amazing. What a treat. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and accommodating.

Walked the old bridge and town. Lovely! We picked a staff favorite of a Mexican Restaurant within walking distance from the hotel, and it has the best Chicken Fajitas I have had in years!!

Very clean and modern hotel. Staff were amazing, especially Luanne who hosted the cocktail hour and the two ladies who manage breakfast. Rooms were clean and the bathroom had room to roam and great shower and towels. Good beds also. Pretty nice gym also

Everything! Amazing hotel. We have stayed here before and will not stay anywhere else in Sioux Falls at this point! The rooms and facilities are so clean and beautiful. The beds are SO comfortable. The rooms are just gorgeous and so cozy. Everything is so clean and the staff is amazing. Breakfast is hot and fresh and absolutely delicious. It's quiet and an absolutely perfect location.

Amazing staff! We were upgraded due to the pool being closed. They also paid for guests to go to Midco. The room was so clean and comfortable and the location was very convenient. Breakfast was delicious and it was quiet and peaceful.

The Best Western Empire Towers in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is a cut above what one might expect from a standard BW...in fact, from recent stays at BW Plus hotels in Mississippi, I would encourage the chain to speak with the Sioux Falls BW staff about how to run a hotel. The public areas and rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast room, while not overly roomy, was as nice as any we've used and the food selections were tasty and varied. Staff was attentive/helpful without being intrusive. We've often had to wait for desk staff to show up for check-in or -out or for questions during out stays...here, someone was available whenever we needed assistance. We were surprised to find such good value in this time of ever increasing costs. Finally, access to I-29 makes this hotel highly attractive for those traveling through.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. The building is not new, but kept very well. The room was perfectly clean. Bedding and matrass were very good. The breakfast had a large variety of teas. Also some hot choices. It is a typical american buffet with disposable plates, cutlery and cups. The buffet was refilled very often. In total I would say that this hotel is totally worth the price and I would always go back.

First of all, Pet Friendly.. Should read Pet Friendly for a price, 20 bucks per dog (children are harder on rooms than my dogs), plus I am guessing that the extra money does not go to the housekeeper. The good, rooms were clean, we were allowed to checking a little early (planned stop earlier did not pan out), water pressure and plenty of hot water..perfect, breakfast was good. The bad, the first room we were placed in smelled of cigarette smoke (not just a little), the desk agent informed me that all of the rooms were non-smoking, twice. He did relent and give us another room. the hotels is in the Mall district? towards evening a few homeless guy showed up and were hanging around. There are some sketchy apartments adjacent to the parking lot (these things could make some uneasy). The driveway in to the hotel needs some work. Overall, a good place to stay. I felt safe, and I was not worried about my vehicle.

The hotel has all basic amenities and is very convenient for Aberdeen central. Check in staff were very accommodating and helpful with an early check in and late check out. There is ample parking. The room is great - clean bathroom, comfortable bed, quality pillows and comforter, great desk to work at, and modern climate control. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time staying at this HI Express, we were in town for a graduation. This hotel is gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and had an excellent breakfast. When we arrived staff greeted us immediately, they were friendly and professional, and check in was very quick. The room was beautiful with very comfortable bed, large TV, and large shower. Pool area was clean and had towels available. Breakfast was pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee. They get an A+ from me, perfect stay.

We were blessed by this hotel. Mason greeted us at the front desk and was SO helpful in many many ways. We had just completed a 12 hour drive. Our suite was wonderful, super clean, amenities great! Lighting everywhere was perfect, bed comfortable & snuggly. We were very tired & they had Healthy Meals on the snack area that proved to fit our tummies. Breakfast: wow … Carol & Ron prepared a wonderful breakfast. I mean it was a real breakfast - eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal (made right) waffles, juices, as well as pastries. Coffee & Swiss Miss of course. Very clean & orderly. Who ever hired these 3 employees hit the jackpot in excellence. All are very personable. Traveling back home, we will stay here again. Thank you!!!

The breakfast was very good. Hard working breakfast crew. Coffee hot pots…didn’t hold coffee at a hot temp. We had a non working tv in one of our families rooms, so they had to change rooms..was a little inconvenient but the staff was attentive to the matter and corrected it. It was hard to communicate any needs to housekeeping because none of the spoke English. All requests had to be made through the front desk. The hotel was clean, well managed and welcoming. There is always room for improvement, no one is perfect!

Convenient location from the interstate. There was a high school sports teams in the hotel, so there was activity. Comfortable bed and linens. The breakfast had a good variety, it was clean and fresh. The hotel was clean and everyone was friendly.

This was a great hotel. The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were both very nice and friendly. The room was clean and HUGE. The bed was super, their TV service was very slow at changing channels, but had plenty of options. I had an accessible room, very nice set up for someone in a wheelchair, OTHER THAN, why would you put that room on the top floor, FARTHEST from the elevator! I know that has nothing to do with the hotel staff, but more to the dumb architect. I normally travel with my father who is bound to a wheelchair and so if they have an accessible room available I try to check it out if I am going to return there often. With that said, this would be a hard motel to move him around. The 4th floor hallway and room is all very cushy carpet, its great for walking but not easy to roll on. (also a design fault). As far as the hotel however, main floor was great, quality breakfast, great price, good parking and a few food sources within walking distance. The only thing I can say that was slightly bad was the shower stall, again the architect specified using granite as the wall material in the shower, well over time with the soap and cleaners it looks kind of gross at the floor/wall transition. Again, this is the only concern.

Room was very clean, huge comfortable bed, soft pillows--slept like a baby. The breakfast was the biggest selection I've ever had at a hotel and the food was delicious. Kudos to Chauncey in the kitchen. He kept everything supplied. Always checking to make sure everything was full and hot and good, bringing out fresh stuff all the time. He was very friendly and courteous--made you feel at home.

Excellent service food, friendly staff. Clean and cheerful environment. One of the best breakfast bars on our trip through South Dakota. Really liked the card given out at the front desk to select the level of room service you needed during your stay. No other hotel had this feature. The pool and hot tub were clean and well-maintained. This was a great stay for us.

Both days, the breakfast was kept up with and always clean, which is exceptional (most hotels fail on this). Would stay here again next trip through the area!

The lady working the front desk, Stephanie, was the best. Friendly, professional, helpful, full of knowledge, a real joy to talk to. The breakfast was always hot, breakfast room always clean. The Staff that cleaned the room left the rooms looking like no one had stayed there. Clean rooms, bed made, bathroom clean, outstanding job!!!

Super friendly staff! Checked in at 10pm, and the desk clerk couldn't have been friendlier! As of July 1, 2024, the pool was not functioning, so maybe not a great choice for a vacationing family right now. Room was very clean and super comfortable. Modern decor and streamline finishes. Lots of usb ports for charging cords and lots of plugins. Breakfast was a standard hotel bfast that I didn't take time for, but the gravy for the biscuits and gravy smelled delicious! Morning check out staff was just as friendly as the night staff. They are remodeling, so there is some construction equipment around. Property sits in a cluster of other hotels, but is very well lit. Is a little tricky to find, but is easy to get to and easy acccess off of I90. DEFINITELY reccomend & will be my first go-to when coming thru Rapid City again.

We booked a King Jacuzzi Suite, which was huge! I wish we had a view from our room, but unfortunately, our room faced the rock wall behind tbe hotel. The fireplace made a weird sound so we didn't use it. The jacuzzi tub had many non-functioning jets, which was a bummer. The elevator was broken when we checked out...hauling many bags down from the third floor was a pain. The breakfast wasn't great. We opted to eat at the Powder House instead. Would I stay here again? Yes...but maybe would try a different type of room.

The beds were super comfortable and everything was very clean. Staff was attentive. My husband had a stomach ache and the front desk staff gave me some Tums. Breakfast was fresh and dining room was clean. Thanks staff!

Don’t let the outside fool you - the inside is great! We weren’t sure what we were getting into when we arrived and saw a dated looking building. We had booked a standard room but had the option to upgrade to a suite. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, she showed us the standard room and the suite. The standard room looked clean and comfortable, though a bit small. The suite didn’t cost much extra so we went with it, and it was definitely luxury like the sign says! The hotel is within walking distance of the main attractions in Keystone too. So glad we gave this hotel a chance!

Nice, easy stay in Custer. Quick walk down the main street to all the restaurants and shops. Rooms were clean and perfectly comfortable. Nothing fancy, just a nice Best Western. We found the staff really friendly and helpful. Even though it was very full, it was quiet at night. Enjoyed the dive bar the Captain's Table that's right down from the rooms. Great place for one last nightcap before heading to bed.

Very well located motel near downton Custer with clean and spacious rooms. Our beds were comfortable and we could park right in front of our room. Breakfast was very good with free coffee available at all times. Staff was very friendly and helped immediately to fix the settings on the heating as it got a bit too cold the first night. Very great value for money for this place.

The property was clean, staff was helpful and friendly, and the pool/hottub was clean and not crowded. The only issue we had was we were ground floor on the corner and could hear loud traffic and intoxicated people fighting outside the window. Not necessarily the staff or hotel's fault but it was annoying to be awaken.

Stayed here for Wild Bill Days and our entire stay was perfect! The staff is so friendly! Our bed was so comfy that my husband was searching for the matress name so we could buy one for home. The breakfast area is large and clean and food was fresh and good. Despite the hotel being full it was quiet. Best location in Deadwood. Parking is the only challenge here is you have to walk a couple blocks to get your car but it is expected in Deadwood so plan ahead. We will be back!

Check in was wonderful and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and we loved our double sinks separate from shower area. The free breakfast was good. Lots to choose from and everything was fresh and hot. Parking was a block away but it was a nice refreshing walk to our SUV when we would go touring for the day. The location was awesome. Right in the middle of Main Street. We had NO complaints at all. Would definitely stay here again if we visited Deadwood again.

Hotel very clean, friendly staff and free parking (at different location but not far from hotel). The bed was comfortable. Room was large, bathroom clean and good size too. Hotel has great location, in middle of main downtown area, several restaurants and bars close by.

Room was great, breakfast was good and location is perfect. Staff is very friendly and go out of there way to make your stay perfect. Breakfast lady helped with trays for taking food back to the room, clean hotel.

The breakfast was basic but sufficient. The room was clean, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Great A/C, quiet, hallways were clean and bright, and it's affordable. I know it's a little thing, but I love that there was a trash can in the bathroom. Why doesn't every motel do this?? Staff was friendly and helpful, good restaurant recommendations. Location was convenient, and if you come the end of August, it's a great spot to see the hot air balloon night glow. I would definitely stay here again.

Road trip, stop #2 We normally stay in a Hilton hotel when traveling but the one in Hot Springs is terrible!! I took a chance on this Motel 8 and it was GREAT! The room was large and clean. The hotel was quiet but you could smell cigarette smoke at the end of the hallway when an employee kept going out the door and smoking right there. Other than that, no issues or complaints. The breakfast area is large but they are using part of it for storage as they update the rooms. There is a small breakfast buffet with waffles as the only hot breakfast item. For the price and the location, this hotel is probably the best one in Hot Springs. The parking area is very large if you have an oversized rig and it's located right next door to Jalapeno's restaurant (which is amazing) and the Mammoth site. Highly recommend this hotel.

I was in Hot Springs to work for a week at the Mammoth Site, which is adjacent to the Super 8. If I understand correctly, this motel is under new management and they are in the process of updates. I had a room in the (daylight) basement/first floor, which worked super for me. It's cooler there and I rarely ran the AC. I don't believe the renovations have hit the rooms in this wing yet. The hallway carpeting and paint are new. But the room itself is a bit dated. Not a lot of electrical/USB outlets, but it worked for me. My room came with the obligatory TV and Direct TV channel service. Also, a microwave and fridge that worked like a charm. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Most of all, the employees are the frosting on the cake of this place. The overnight counter lady is as sweet and personable as can be, even under duress. Same for the cleaning staff. Breakfast is decent. Hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast, mini-muffins, oatmeal, make-it-yourself pancakes, juice, and coffee. The breakfast room is large and comfy.

We are very picky people and this hotel far exceeded our expectations. It looked like it had been recently renovated and everything was very clean. Our room was nice, and had a new, very comfortable recliner. I was concerned about the property because I had read a few negative reviews, that certainly wasn’t our experience. One review criticized the breakfast, we felt it was more than adequate. The coffee was outstanding, it had two kinds of juice, cold cereal, oatmeal, a waffle maker, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, muffins and fresh fruit. The property is the best bang for the buck in the Black Hills in the summer. We live in eastern South Dakota and travel to and through the Hills frequently, we will definitely be back.

This is a perfect location if you are visiting Wind Cave NP and don't miss The Mammoth Site right next door (you can even walk there). The beds were comfortable as were the sheets. The manager was especially helpful when I needed to download a document. He went out of his way to help me. We also enjoyed Moccasin Hot Springs located right in town. During our stay, a group was having a "cousins reunion" and they were able to use the breakfast room for some activities in the evening. The breakfast was minimal, but adequate - cereal, yogurt, waffles, toast, muffins, fruit, juice and coffee.

Remodeled beautifully in 2024, this hotel has modern and comfortable decor, quiet, well-insulated rooms, professional staff and standard hot and cold breakfast, all of which was very good. I especially appreciate having dark roast coffee which for some unknown reason, some Hamptons don’t offer on weekends, Easy access off I-90 and convenient to several decent restaurants like Corona Village. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean room, nicely stocked snack bar area to purchase late night snacks. Breakfast was well stocked and very clean. Friendly staff. Room was just the right temperature and the pillows and mattresses were extremely clean and comfortable! Can't wait to stay here again in 2 weeks!

This was our first night of lodging while exploring South Dakota, and we were pleased with the experience. After viewing the Corn Palace; we stopped in and had a welcoming and efficient check-in. The facility is clean and well-maintained; with our room being comfortable and providing a comfortable retreat, after a long day of travel. The complimentary breakfast was very good; with a decent variety of items from which to choose, helping to start one's next day on the road. If we find ourselves back in the area, this is definitely a solid option for a return visit.

This Hampton Inn is close to the expressway, but far enough away to eliminate any highway noise. The staff were all friendly and helpful regarding dinner options nearby. The breakfast was very good and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

We traveled the week before Memorial Day. Our first vacation away from our state since we retired AND our first vacation with our Rescue Dog. He was very comfortable there and didn't fuss or any sounds/bark. It was so pleasant and quiet that there was no need to feel unsafe. The room was very comfortable with a mid-century vibe, large bathroom area, mini fridge, TV, dresser space, etc. There was also a nice all wood table & 2 chairs so we could have our meals (take-out from the attached restaurant) in the comfort of our room. 2 garden chairs right outside the door if we wanted to sit outside. Very quiet & private,. Walking distance to downtown historic Main Street Deadwood, across the street from Mickelson Trailhead and along a main drag that could take us in different directions on our day trips. Hotel management was exceptional & helpful. Couldn't be happier. Would recommend highly to anyone looking for a 1 night stopover or a 3 night stay like we did. It will be the first place we stay again if we travel to the area in the future.

I can’t remember the last time our check in was so welcoming and fun our manager Connie was wonderful. The value for dollar was exceptional. Room may have been old style but bed very comfortable, shower power great, room very clean and easy to get to town by foot or trolley. Best value and welcome we’ve had in a long time and we are travelers. Also they have a good diner style restaurant next door with great service. Thankyou!

Stayed 2 nights in July. It's an older establishment, but for the price it is a good place to stay. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We don't spend alot of time in the room, so it was perfect. Clean and comfortable. The trolley stops close by, so you don't have to pay for parking in town. The location is very quiet. My only complaint about the room is that it was a little too dark. I prefer a bright lamp. The front desk staff was very friendly. Also, they have a homestyle diner. The food was very good, reasonable prices and pleasant waitress/waiter.

The staff was VERY helpful! Tina answered all my questions and was so friendly. The hotel is definitely dated, although the room was comfortable. The place does have a restaurant that belongs to the hotel. Great breakfast. Not real great dinner. Looks like the hotel is trying to install a hot tub. That would be nice for the cooler nights. Lots of motorcycle traffic but, it's the week before Sturgis. Price was fair. I wouldn't have a problem staying here again. I just can't say enough how friendly the staff was. Thanks Tina.

I read the reviews before staying and I was a little worried. I'm glad we ended up staying. If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this is not for you. We took my grandson and it was perfect for us! We stayed in rooms 275 and 276. They were clean, and perfect for a family with kids. We chose to stay away from the pool, and our rooms were very quiet. We didn't have any of the issues that others talked about. The only thing that I will say is that they need to replace the remote controls. The remote in room 276 did not work at all and the remote in room 275 was missing the back to cover the batteries, but it worked fine. Luckily for us, the remote worked on both TVs so it okay. Upon arrival we checked in quickly, and the lady at the desk was super sweet, the guy that brought our luggage up was also very nice. (The elevator by our room was broke so instead of making us drag our stuff upstairs, they had someone come and take it for us.)The restaurant had delicious food, we had a blast at the pool and overall our stay was great!

If you are traveling through or visiting family in Sioux Falls SD. Do not miss the Ramada by Wyndham; especially if you have children. The staff are friendly and attentive. The waterpark is beautiful, there are multiple pools; they are clean and packed with fun and play for kids of all ages. Accessible from the park area, there is dining/sports bar via Boston Pizza, the food is spot on and you can enjoy your favorite adult beverage. I can't possibly list all the amenities here so please check their website. We just enjoyed our second stay there, and plan on returning!

i really like the price, one of the cheaper places in town and is great for families that want to enjoy the water park. Boston's Restaurant is delicious and even though i was only staying for a hospital visit, they made me feel right at home. I've stayed here in the past, rooms have been renovated and it is a comfortable spot to stay.

We had my son’s 5th birthday party here. It was great! Kids had a blast and family enjoyed the food and drink from the restaurant. We had one of the suite rooms and it was very clean and comfortable. And enough space to host. Staff was kind and friendly.

The perfect spot in Sioux Falls with children! The waterpark was a huge hit with our 5 year old, the staff were welcoming and the rooms were spacious and clean. We will be back next time were stopping through Sioux Falls!

The breakfast that was offered was phenomenal! So many options! I even told my husband that in the middle of winter they even had such fresh fruit!! Hahaha! Nicest Hampton Inn I have seen since 2019 in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Breakfast was amazing. I tried the Lemon Waffles they have their, I didn't really like the Lemon Waffles. but everything else was absolutely amazing, Staff was pleasant, very polite and helpful. Room was very clean and the beds were very comfy. Pool was small but very fancy. Location was very nice, it has a Outback next to it and it has a Cracker Barrel a little away from the Hotel.

Great hotel in a safe areas with lots of food options in walking distance. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The lady checking us in was so kind and helpful when the first room we checked into had an issue. This is not normal for this hotel chain. The breakfast was good and there was more than enough and it was fresh.

Property has been updated recently. Cozy, pleasant breakfast room. Seamless checkin. Room smelled clean and fresh. Spotless. Slept well because there was no noise. Good breakfast but the omelettes were a bit tough. Ample parking. Thank you for the quality rest. We will be back.

We love the pool and hot tub, it’s not too huge and the kids have so much fun on the lily pad things. If it a busy night it does get a little too full. Breakfast is great, you get vouchers and can eat at the restaurant hooked onto the motel. Super good food and friendly service in there. Quiet and prompt. The rooms are nice and clean. The beds are honestly the best motel beds I’ve ever slept on. I hope the motel continues to feel super clean, j know it’s a newer motel so that’s why I feel comfortable staying here. It unfortunately is a ways away from the mall and other shopping but It’s worth it. It is very close to the runway so all the arriving planes do fly in close by but it didn’t bother me. My kids loved watching them.

This is a great hotel, but no breakfast! It was clean and comfortable. Mark was extremely professional and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. My only hesitation in returning, is that for the price, breakfast should have been provided.

This is our first stop on a trip out west and it was perfect. This hotel was clean and quiet with a friendly staff. It had a golf course outback which looked quite enjoyable if We had a little more time. They had a restaurant connected that was very nice as well. This is a very fair price hotel with a great location and comfortable accommodations. I would recommend it and probably stop by next time I’m in the area for a visit.

The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Sioux Falls - Airport is an excellent place to stay and I will absolutely return. The room was well laid out, comfortable, and extremely clean. Having a restaurant attached is convenient and the Crooked Pint has really good food. The restaurant overlooks one of the greens on the golf course and there is patio seating perfect for enjoying a meal or drinks outside when the weather is warm. Everything about the hotel was first rate. The only problem we encountered was our booking through hotels.com did not get entered into their reservation system. Thankfully, the manager (wish I could remember her name because she was great) was able to help us resolve the situation quickly and professionally. Sounds like we were one of the only times this has happened to them. All in all a great hotel experience. I would absolutely stay here again and will recommend this to anyone.

This hotel is very new, clean, close to KFSD with a free shuttle to both Maverick Air Center for private aviation and the terminal. Excellent beds and bedding as well as really nice black out curtains ensure great night’s sleep. The Crooked Pint Ale House is the hotel’s restaurant which is really good. Fun menu, great drinks and wonderful staff. The locals frequent this place too which is always a sign of an excellent hotel restaurant. Two staff members from the front desk were probably the very best stand outs for us. Edgar picked us up in the shuttle from Maverick Air Center and he was so friendly, professional and personable. Then we met Din at the front desk and he was excellent also. This hotels gets too marks all round. We hope to come back soon.

Could’ve stayed in Hawaii or Laguna Beach for two weeks at same price ($3,200)…

Highly recommend! Staff was friendly. The nice lady at the front desk (I didn’t get her name) recommended the restaurant right next door which was EXCELLENT! The beds were very comfortable. We got a great night sleep and in the morning they offered a complimentary hot breakfast. Eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, cold cereal, rolls and juices and coffee. Close to the main highway for easy access but super quiet. Thank you!

We loved our stay at the Best Western Black Hills Lodge. Had a nice clean room with comfy beds right near the bar. We had drinks every night at the bar and the bartender was awesome!! Location is perfect and near everything you need. Breakfast was simple but very good. There is nothing we didn’t like about our stay.

Rooms were clean, staff very friendly and bed were comfy! Great family restaurant right next door serving up good food to weary travelers! There breakfast was as expected. The rooms had two entry points one to the outside so load in was easy, and one to the interior so grabbing coffee and bfast was warm!

Front Desk staff were friendly, amenable and extremely helpful. The room was spacious, quiet and the bed was the comfiest I've had in the USA on this trip. Great night's sleep with super fluffy pillows. Good breakfast & perfect location to get to downtown. Altogether 10 out of 10.

This was a fabulous property. We would definitely stay here again there’s a shuttle you could take into Sturgis for $40 per person round-trip. There is coffee in the lobby every morning the beds are comfortable and staff is very helpful and friendly. There’s a restaurant for breakfast and dinner if you don’t want to leave. And 2 miles from lots of shopping and restaurants.

This was a very nice hotel with new and clean rooms. The breakfast and lunch area were clean with good food.Choice between breakfast buffet or ordering off menu. It has a small bar area to watch a sports event and have drink after as well.

Nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Very up to date, beds were great, shower pressure was great. Only complaint would be the $14 breakfast buffet...it was about the same as a continental breakfast at most hotels.

We stayed here for a family trip after a different hotel in the area cancelled our reservation without notice. We had two adjoining rooms, each with 2 queens. The rooms were decently clean, could always be cleaner. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were ok. The hotel was pretty quiet, which is always one of my top concerns. The AC units had seen better days and could use some replacement. We purchased the breakfast add on and were pretty happy. The buffet didn't have many options that we were interested in so we did make to order and were very satisfied. I wish the hotel had real creamer/half and half for coffee, not just the shelf stable stuff, which is kind of gross. Overall a nice stay.

The beds were comfortable, but no vending machines, one common microwave down the hallway by the elevator none in the room, no hottub.

Club level dining room was closed, but enjoyed atmosphere in restaurant. Breakfast buffet in restaurant was good. Friendly and helpful staff. Dee at checkout was super friendly. Club level was very quiet. Room was clean, and room amenities were nice. Personalized welcome on TV made me smile. Server at restaurant took care of my no voucher situation with no problem. Extra security for Club level access.

We stayed here for the music festival. The bed was very comfy, room was clean. Only thing that was we didn't really get a lot of information when we checked in. Other hotels I usually get wifi password, check out time, breakfast info. There was none of that. In the room there was nothing with local info either. Nothing that had any info about the hotel or local food places. It would have been nice to have that information. Otherwise it was a nice room and very convenient location to where the festival was so we will be staying again next year.

Great stay here while attending the ND/SD Realtor Convention. Quick check in and had requested an early check in for 230 pm and room was ready. Spacious room, we were on the 5th floor so very quiet. The food during the four day convention was excellent. Everyone commented on how good the food was. A special shout out to Noemi and Amanda who are bartenders in the lobby bar. Very personable and took care of the full bar and never waited to be served!

It's always an absolute pleasure staying here when in Sioux Falls. I like that the gym stays open 24/7 and the swimming facilities close late. Inside, facilities are absolutely immaculate, and more importantly, staff are friendly, hospitable and amicable. Rooms are both spacious and clean with copious supplies of fresh linen. Importantly for intrepid explorers, interstates and the airport are easily accessible within 5 minutes. This is the preferred choice when in Sioux Falls.

Great place to stay while visiting Spearfish and surrounding Black Hills. We came from Canada to attend a wedding and do the tourist stuff in Black Hills. We stayed here as our base of operations. This Inn is very modern, well maintained and well cleaned. They also have a great morning breakfast. The pool and hot tub, excerise room, and laundry room are all modern and very clean too. Main floor has handicap accessible rooms. Parking lot has handicap accessible parking and ramp right at front door. Located on a side road so its fairly quiet at night. Plenty of nearby gas stations, restaurants and shopping including a Walmart. The staff are very helpful and polite. Prices in Spearfish in general are lower than in Rapid City or in the smaller tourist trap towns.

We chose to stay at this hotel on our way to Yellowstone because my husband was able to get it for free with his Marriott points. Having now stayed there, we would definitely pay to stay there in the future. Everything was perfect. The gal that checked us in was very friendly, sadly I didn't get her name. I did however get the name of the gal who checked us out. Kirsten (the general manager) checked us out. She was nice, and good at her job. The gal that checked us in even offered to make a pot of coffee when we arrived, but then I remembered that we had actually brought our Keurig.........the offer was very much appreciated though. Kirsten gave us a discount on the pillow that we purchased because of a small issue we had with the elevator while we were checking out. Did you know that you can purchase their pillows? I didn't either, but it was the best pillow I've slept on in a long time and it is now mine. The room was clean and well laid out and the entire hotel smelled nice. The best I could tell, the nice smell wasn't from something that was sprayed to cover up something bad....it was simply a nice smell. Breakfast was very good too. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles, assorted sweet breads, yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, assorted cold cereals, boiled eggs, milk, juices, and coffee. Over all a very nice stay.

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn Spearfish from June 19-24, 2022 while in town for a work conference. The staff at the Fairfield Inn are amazing! I particularly want to mention Bobbie Jo and Quinn who went above and beyond to help me out during my stay. Everyone who worked at the front desk and breakfast area were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection is excellent! The facility is clean. Plus the towels were awesome! My only complaint was that I did not find my bed comfortable but everything else at this facility was excellent so they deserve a 5 rating.

I found this hotel to be very clean and I am picky about cleanliness. The staff there is so very helpful and kind and will go out of there way to help you. They are short staffed just like many places, but still go the extra mile for your comfort. The breakfast was very good and a good assortment. The breakfast staff and front desk staff were all amazing people. I would definitely stay here again. It is also a quiet location in a beautiful area of the Black Hills.

This was a very clean property, rooms were clean and nice, I like the non-carpeted floor. Breakfast was great, very nice women helping in the breakfast area taking orders and warming sandwiches and wiping tables. Check in staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very clean all the staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady in charge of breakfast worked her tail off every morning making sure everything was perfect.

The facility was close to my conference. The rooms were clean and comfy. The breakfast was really good with sausage patties, eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles and the usual items. Breakfast staff was really tentative and kept the area clean and stocked.

It is a bit difficult to get to if you don't know the street. No out let one way in and out was very secure. I appreciate the staff and cleaning crew. Very friendly and helpful. Wonderful pool area and plenty of pool towels. Outisde seating areas very nice. Close to hospital and other health facilities. Room was clean and very good condition. The tv. Was in and out with wifi issues, and that i did not even care about we were enjoying other amenities. We will stay again. Excellent job all! Keep up the good work. See you all again soon.

Hotel room shows a bit of age but this should not dissuade anyone. We stayed in the presidential suite and it was amazing. Somehow this room was priced below a king sized room. Large spacious area for dinner with the wife, as well as a jacuzzi bathtub. The room was very clean. We are on a road trip to Mount Rushmore and this was the perfect place for a pit stop. I would stay here again.

It's 2024, recently remodeled and not 1 USB port in room. I had 7 USB devices (2 phones, noise canceling headphones, earbuds, hearing aids, electric razor, bone conductive headset for swimming). Ridiculous. They said "there's a USB port by the lobby sofa. You can come sit down here and use it". Yah ... right. Luckily I found an AC-USB adapter in my razor case. Saved $5 on the room over where I often stay. What a joke. No complimentary breakfast here, coffee or anything. Medium cup of black coffee was $4. Basic breakfast was almost $15. What a ripoff. Hampton provides complimentary water in room, breakfast, coffee, etc. Went to lobby to buy a cold soda from their snack area. Everything was warm. When i told them they said "Oh its been that way for quite awhile. Guess it didn't get fixed". I walked over to the next hotel to get my soda. Found out they had lower rates, complimentary breakfast, USB ports in room, and their beverages were cold. I canceled my reservation for a later night at the Courtyard and switched. I won't be returning to the Courtyard by Marriott.

The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaints were thin towels and ridiculously priced breakfast. I've stayed in less expensive hotels and had a more luxurious experience.

Within a 5 minute walk I was at 20 stores and eateries. 15 minutes of walking even more and 25 minutes of walking: empire mall. This is a fine hotel and clean and upper class. Most importantly the staff is very kind and friendly. The breakfast of blue Berry fresh pancakes is my favorite here and the food bar with a variety of items to grab and choose from is included with the “served main breakfast menu” at your table . The rooms were clean and modern. I picked the right place

We stayed here for two nights while in town for a wedding. The hotel had everything you could want. The roon was clean, had a microwave and refrigerator, and WiFi. The hotel had a pool, business center, and almost anything else you could want, including a small marketplace and a bar. The restaurant was not separate, but consisted of tables in part of the large lobby area that extended around the corner to the bar area. We ate dinner here and enjoyed our meal. Breakfast was not included and cost $10 for a nice buffet including hot items. The staff was great. The sink in our room didn't drain properly. We told the staff when we left for a short time and it was repaired when we returned an hour later. Highly recommend this hotel.

We booked through Hilton Honors for two nights. Great location just off of I-229 and near Louise Avenue, full of restaurants and the Empire Mall. Our room was spacious and appreciated the Keurig coffee maker, microwave and a refrigerator. We received $20 for breakfast...kudos to the cook! The staff at reception was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants. The hotel was very clean and recently remodeled. We did not have any noise issues. We would stay here if we returned to Sioux Falls.

The Hilton was very nice and comfortable! After a full 12 hours of driving, we needed sleep and a shower. The room was nice. The bathroom was a bit small however the shower was amazing! The breakfast in the morning was very tasty and the waitress was super nice. The woman who checked us in was quick and nice!

Quaint hotel with a beautiful, welcoming lobby. Comfortable beds, large room, and fresh breakfast are our highlights. A special shout-out to Mary at the restaurant for her impeccable service and wonderful engagement, always with a smile on. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Our family's stay at the Staybridge Suites Sioux Falls, while a brief overnight stay, was pleasant and relaxing for all members. The room we had was spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen and living area, french doors separating those from the bedroom and bath. This is ideal when traveling with family and is a rare find. The room was well cared for, immaculate, and had all provisions needed for us. Check in and check out at 3pm and 11am respectively, the staff are friendly and helpful, and their morning breakfast was deliciously presented and well maintained. One criticism is with the pool area. The wooden doors show signs of warpage, making them difficult to close. Otherwise, the pool and courtyard are fun and fabulous. An enjoyable experience and one I will consider when coming back through.

I was in South Dakota to visit my son and the hotel I usually stay in was booked (last minute trip) so I was scrambling to find a hotel. After reading reviews I settled on the Staybridge and I’m glad I did. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful and my room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is older but the rooms have all been painted and redecorated. I did not try the buffet, but it smelled great. I will now make the Staybridge my hotel of choice.

The room we stayed in was absolutely perfect! My husband and I were traveling with our 2 adult sons. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was so convenient. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. We have already made our next reservation!

Candlewood Suites, Sioux Falls, SD has a small staff, but they are efficient in maintaining the outstanding cleanliness and order of the hotel. They were cordial/friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel and its workings. My room was spacious, very clean, and the kitchenette has everything needed for an extended stay. Free coffee and hot tea are available 24/7. Snacks and frozen meals are reasonably priced. There is free use of the guests' laundry room, which has plenty of washers and dryers. The hotel is located closely to all the national chain stores/restaurants and local merchants. The Interstate 29 is nearby. This is an excellent hotel, and I highly recommend it. AAA+ facility!

Arrived late and my check-in was a breeze. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived to our room and felt like we were coming into a home for three nights. We enjoyed the spacious room and put the kitchenette to good use. TV’s are large and convenient. Bed and pillows were nice. We very much enjoyed our stay and do recommend this Candlewood Suites. Very good location with plenty of food options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Very large room with a complete kitchenette, full refrigerator, and twin countertop stove. Rooms very clean and the beds are very comfortable with a nice wall mounted flat screen TV. Even has a market place to buy things from snacks to rice cookers. Only down fall was very limited parking for amount of guests and the night guy wasn’t very friendly.

I had such a great stay at Candlewoods suites. The room was newly renovated and super clean. The staff were friendly and were always around if I needed them. The location of this hotel was perfect, close to restaurants and shopping. Overall, it was great and I will be back!

Excellent property. Clean, roomy, on a quiet street, safe to walk the dogs at night, centrally located, updated, very well put together. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay in Chamberlain on the way to Yellowstone. AmericInn was a very nice place to stop for the night. The hotel is nicely decorated with a western wildlife feel. The pool area with the indoor water slide was a big hit with the kids. There was a pool basketball hoop held by a large moose that was also fun. Our room was a suite. There was a living room with a sleeper sofa. The bedroom was a separate room with two queen beds. The bathroom area was between the two rooms with the sink/mirror area separate from the shower/toilet area. The breakfast was the standard complimentary fare. We like to eat at local places and avoid the chain restaurants if possible. We had dinner at Charlys. A local bar/restaurant. Even with the bar piece of it there many families there. The food was very good with a fun atmosphere. All in all a nice place to stop for the night. With a fun pool area for the kids. Good local restaurant for dinner.

This hotel was convenient and very clean and quiet. The staff made it easy to check into our rooms. We had even done an online check-in as we were driving. There’s a complementary breakfast that starts at 7 AM. But be aware there is no real restaurant here. We went for a search last night for dinner and many places were closed by eight or 9 PM so plan your meals accordingly. But for convenience, safety and peace of mind , we were quite happy to stay here. If we weren’t in a hurry, would stay another night. I thought what the heck I’ll join the Windham rewards program .

This hotel is by far the best one on our 10-day trip! Breakfast and all of its options were great. The pool was clean, spacious, and fun. The decor was amazing, very patriotic, lodge-style feel to it all. When traveling with children, the detached sink from the bathroom is extremely helpful. If we're ever in the area again, we would love to stay here again!

Kids were too chicken to try 😆 Pet friendly with $20 fee Room was big, clean, nice - suite had a microwave, fridge, king bed, sofa bed, sitting area and it was on an end near a stairwell One of the best breakfasts I’ve had at a hotel - warm cinnamon rolls, breads/muffins, 1 minute pancake maker was cool, turkey sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, egg white/veggie or egg/cheese omelettes, oatmeal, cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee Friendly and accommodating staff Cons: I wish they’d enforce the no kids under 12 in the hot tub which is posted. Not because I don’t like kids but it was crowded with little ones who aren’t old enough yet to know not to pee in the pool. No thanks When the big slide is running (top half hour of each hour) the swimming pool part is closed and only the 1 ft splash pool is open. Not a big deal but if you have bigger kids who don’t want to go down the slide it could be boring for them The big bucket on top of the splash area seemed to be broken. Kids still had a lot of fun Would definitely stay again and recommend.

The location of this hotel just off I-90 makes it a perfect location if you are traveling through the area, and it’s also convenient for many Sioux Falls locations. The Sioux Falls Airport is a 15 minutes drive, and Falls Park and downtown Sioux Falls is also a short drive. This is a lovely hotel, with professional staff that are pleasant and engaging. The rooms are clean, quiet, roomy and conducive to getting a good night sleep. Our room was complete with a microwave and a small fridge with a freezer compartment. We enjoyed the happy hour upon our arrival complete with complementary appetizers, beer and wine. There are several restaurants nearby, so we were able to enjoy dinner without traveling very far. And the breakfast was fabulous. As a celiac I was able to enjoy many gluten-free options, and the kitchen staff were really nice. Thank you to everyone for a job well done! When we come back to this area we will stay here again.

My family of four stayed here for two nights recently. We chose this hotel due to its waterpark features and the fact we could escape socialist MN by hopping over the SD border a few miles. We certainly did not go wrong with this hotel. Check in was fast with my IHG Plat status recognized and welcome pts given. Room and facility was very clean, beds comfortable, with the quality pillows you come to expect at HIX properties. Mini waterpark was perfect for our kids, they really liked the tube slide while we adults used the hot tub (perhaps turn the temp down just a bit in there, plenty hot). The morning compl. breakfast is where this place really shined, given it is still covid times. EVERYTHING that would have been normally included with a non covid breakfast was included now! It was served by hotel staff, but nonetheless all items, including hot breakfast items were available. SO MUCH BETTER than other hotels that have only prepackaged junk out. I used the fitness facility which was small, but contained modern equipment. Covid wise, signs are posted to wear masks but the staff did not harp on people not wearing masks staying there which we truly appreciated. Overall great stay, we will try to return again some day.

This was an amazing hotel! We traveled with kids who had a blast in the pool and indoor playground! The rooms were clean & spacious. The staff friendly. And breakfast was pretty good. The hotel is within walking distance of a really good restaurant (Tailgators) and a gas station. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you have younger kids!

We've stayed here at least 3 times before, but haven't been back in about 6 years. We were pleased that the hotel still seemed so new. All areas of the hotel were very clean. The bed was very comfortable, but a bit high for shorter people. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was better than what we've had in some restaurants. Omelets, sausage, pancakes, pastries, fruit, yogurt and a variety of beverages in a nice clean eating area. We'll most certainly stay here again.

We attended an 11 year old boy’s hockey tournament at The Scheel’s Ice Plex a few minutes down the road and this hotel was perfect. The boys and their siblings spent hours playing in the pool. Lots of tables and seating in the pool area. The large breakfast room had fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with cheese, fried potatoes, sausage, cold cereal, milk, juice, yogurt, toast etc. and some mornings waffles. In addition to regular and decaf coffee there was a coffee machine in the lobby providing specialty coffees and hot chocolate all included in the room rate. At lunch, the breakfast room turned into a lunch buffet restaurant that you paid for. The made from scratch pizza was very good. Our room had a Keurig coffee machine, microwave and small fridge. Each of the few queen beds had four pillows. Nice, large shower. Only thing missing was a container for recyclables but unfortunately I find this to often be the case in the USA. There is a lovely outdoor pool area that is open in the summer season. Across the road was a gas station that sold beer and snacks and the large Empire Shopping Mall was maybe a 10 to 15 minute drive. Great place to stay.

I was a bit nervous when we booked this room based on the reviews. I would take all of those reviews with a grain of salt. Yes, this hotel is an older hotel but I could only find 2 complaints. Our shower pressure was minimal and the water did not get very hot and our view was not great. We stayed in room 2108 and it was super spacious. The beds were super comfortable. This particular room did not have a desk. Just a table and 2 chairs. The indoor pool was great, especially for little kids. The outdoor pool is amazing! Both pool areas had plenty of seating. The continental breakfast was also great. The staff. Ramada, you should be proud. Everyone we encountered was great. There were 3 people working the counter on Friday when we arrived. Each one of them was happy and helpful. The staff walking around the premises were friendly. The staff working the continental breakfast was efficient and kept things full. One thing I really appreciated was the free bags of ice for the coolers. Would definitely stay here again!

We got a suite, and it was beautiful and so fun. Very happy with the room. The kids loved the pool and swam a lot. I wish the pool would open earlier than 9am. The breakfast was pretty good. Scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, few kinds of cereal, bread for toast, 2 kinds of mini muffins. They were out of OJ and the coffee didn’t taste good. Need some fruit, maybe they were out at 9 when we were there. (Served from 7 to 10.) My kids were disappointed that there weren’t pancakes or waffles to make themselves. The front end staff was okay. They forgot to give me our pool wristbands when I checked in so I had to go and track those down. And forgot to tell me that pool towels were at the front desk. I asked for a late check out, but was told I needed to talk to the front desk people the next day. When we came for breakfast, I stopped and asked if we could check out late (meaning noon instead of 11 o’clock). The woman barely looked at her computer and told me, quote, “no, we need the room”. No “sorry about that” or “thanks for staying with us, but we can’t do a late check out today”, just “no” after looking down at her computer for less than 5 seconds. I’ve stayed at this hotel before and had to deal with this woman before. She is not helpful or friendly. Other than her, we had a very pleasant time and good interactions with other staff members.

The pools were great! The indoor pools were perfect for our 5 and 7 year old. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I had low expectations of the hotel brand grill, but my husband said it may have been the best club sandwich he has ever had. (Quesadillas were delicious too.) Breakfast was pretty good for hotel breakfast and was the right price (complimentary). It was a great stay.

Stayed here for the waterpark and my kids loved it. They enjoyed all the different things they had to offer. The water temperature was perfect, the hot tub was nice too. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. There was enough offerings to cater to a wide variety of tastes.

We were in a very nice suite, roomy and comfortable. I just did not realize that it was on the third floor and there are no elevators. Since i have Parkinson’s it was a challenge. The breakfast was pretty good - cereal, waffles, yogurt, fruit and some fresh donuts , coffee & just. Staff was friendly. Check in took a while because of their computer system, but there was a nice area to sit and wait.

Nice, Clean, comfortable, reasonable. Very friendly check-in. Room was large, had refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Comfortable bed and pillows. Would stay there again. A little noisy from traffic but was over early. Nightstands had electrical outlets built in so very handy.

The room was great, comfortable beds very clean, and the service from the staff was great. Renovations are being done at this time and that would’ve been the only suggestion I had was a renovation of the bathrooms. The hotel is in walking distance of convenient stores and restaurants.

Hotel grounds and lobby were very well kept and clean. Having the option of the suites is awesome. After a long day of traveling it’s nice for the kids and adults to each have their own space. Bathroom was spacious and immaculate, great shower. Bed was comfortable. Pull out sofa mattress wouldn’t be at all comfortable for an adult but was just fine for our young kids. Carpet in rooms and hallways were stained and frayed and definitely need to be replaced. But for the price there’s really nothing to complain about. Included hot breakfast was a nice touch. After this experience we will certainly look for other Town Suites when traveling.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was just as we hoped it would be. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The interaction between staff members was very positive and upbeat. A very pleasant environment.

Big room, very clean, friendly staff. Decent breakfast selections. Close to restaurants so our group could walk to dinner. The common space TV remote didn't work but I was too lazy to call and simply watched TV in the bedroom. That is the only negative but can't blame the hotel. Would stay again when traveling to Aberdeen.

Staff were all helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out was fast. Room was clean & comfortable. Only went down for breakfast one time during our stay at around 7:00am. They were serving scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausage links & regular Continental breakfast items. Biscuits were too hard to eat & only a couple were left when we got there. Regular coffee container empty & none was available while we were there. Staff didn't keep breakfast items available for guests coming down to eat on day we ate there. Disappointed in breakfast so never went do own again for breakfast

The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms were also very clean. The breakfast bar has a great variety, the area was well maintained and the staff working in that area were amazing! We arrived right before they were suppose to close and they didn’t rush us. There is so much to choose from and the whole breakfast room was immaculate.

I can’t speak highly enough about my stay. The location is great; you can walk to Texas Roadhouse in three minutes, you’ve got the mall on one side of you and 41st on the other, so you have easy access to the hubs of the city. The building is beautiful, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was better than most; it had your staples like waffles, bagels, and cereal, but also egg white frittatas with spinach and feta, ham egg and cheese croissants, yogurt, chocolate milk, etc. They have a business center and a pool that, while on the small side, seemed perfectly nice. The staff absolutely shined. Everyone was pleasant and knowledgeable; from a helpful housekeeping guy whose name unfortunately I didn’t get, to Shun and Al at the front desk, who I cannot say enough about. From getting me a new remote when the batteries in mine were low to documenting minor cosmetic damage in the bathroom (likely caused recently, they offered me a different room but I was fine) to giving me advice on parking downtown, they were friendly, welcoming, competent, and helpful. The accommodations were very nice, but the staff is what set it apart from any other hotel I’ve stayed in in Sioux Falls.

Complimentary coffee and water in the lobby was lukewarm. The room is modern and top notch. Dual display (front and side) tabletop digital alarm clock with 2 USB Plugs is great. Water from the shower felt to be treated by water softener. Hot breakfast include sausage links and scrambled eggs. Unfortunately, house keeping needs more attention. There was only 1 coat hanger in the closet and luckily I was able to find a house keeper in the hallway and she gave me 2 more hangers. The two shampoo bottles attached in the shower enclosure were both empty, only the conditioner is partially filled. There was only a facial soap bar provided with no body soap bar. When I mentioned the empty shampoo bottle to the front desk staff, she never even offered a pretentious apology. However, the check in staff was quite friendly and courteous.

One night stopover on our drive through the state. Room was well appointed with a sitting area separated from the bedroom. Desk area is the separation. Tv is between and can swing between the two sides. Can use your phone as the remote for the tv. A small bar area with microwave and fridge. Fridge didn’t have a freezer. Bathroom had a nice shower. Spacious with good towels and water pressure. Nice lighting throughout the room. Could be dim or bright as you wanted. Bed was comfortable and clean. Only one side had a bedside table. Room darkening shades on the windows. Even though it was close to the interstate it was quiet in the room. The usual breakfast type things in the lobby. Nothing special there. Has a pool and exercise area.

Our room was AMAZING! It was huge and very comfortable. View from window not up to much but that didn’t matter to us really. Ideal location near Empire Shopping Mall and a gas food Italian restaurant near by too. The man on reception was very friendly and gave us great customer service. Breakfast was good and fresh with nice verity of products.

Very clean, updated, modern, and comfortable beds! Rooms were spacious and clean. Front desk girl (who was a manager) was so kind and accommodating — checked us in quickly and gave us a free bottle of water because we were all so thirsty but it was very late at night and we just needed to get to bed. This was one of our best stays in Aberdeen yet. My party consists of my wife and 5-year old daughter. The pool area is perfect for kids - we certainly enjoyed the slide and the overall size of this space was great. The pool is showing some signs of wear and tear and it can get a bit crazy at times depending on the number of folks utilizing the space. We experience a rough birthday party of boys that made the experience less than desirable at times. Our room was spacious and clean - exactly what we needed. Having breakfast was excellent although the attendant in charge was often overwhelmed and generally didn't have the disposition required for such a high stress environment. Food was standard hotel breakfast fair and we were happy that Coffee shops were located so close for additional coffee options. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are traveling with kids for a weekend getaway to Storybook Land. It was nice having an indoor pool option to get away from the summer heat.

The property was generally clean and well kept. A couple housekeeping issues: the coffeemaker had not been cleaned and there was the remains of coffee from the previous guest in the pot. Also, the shower curtain either needed washing and bleaching or replacing - there was spotting near the top and discoloration at the bottom. Beds were the typical firm hotel bed which our backs are not fond of. Pillows were cheap fiberfill but there was a big SleepNumber velour-covered body pillow which was nice. Wish there had been as nice a pillow for the head. I wonder if those velour covers are washed between guests? The room was spacious, heater/AC unit worked well. The shower had a wall-mounted dispenser filled with body wash which was a nice addition. Towels were plentiful and a reasonable size. This hotel managed to put out breakfast during COVID-19 which our hotel in Brookings the night before did not. It was generally a carb-fest - breads, cereals, toaster waffles. There were hard boiled eggs and cups of yogurt available as well. Overall a pleasant stay. We would stay there again. If you're in town to visit Laura Ingalls Wilder historic sites or go to the State Fair in Huron, this is a good home base.

Lovely place to stay. The pool water was very warm. The breakfast had lots of options, although no fruit. Very clean and quiet and comfortable. Staff were kind and helpful. De Smet is a wonderful place to visit with do many nice people.

Super deluxe inn was very easy to find, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. There were a lot of carbohydrate choices for breakfast. Every thing was neat and organized. I would have given a 5 star review but the mattress was too soft for me, I was tossing and turning all night trying to get comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay. The lady that runs the hotel is very nice and helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Quite a variety to chose from for breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel. We will stay here again.

Our team stayed here for the state varsity hockey tournament. The staff and accommodations couldn't have been better. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast was hot and delicious and staff was exceptional. The team was able to utlize the meeting room right off the breakfast area and it worked so well for team and family get togethers pre and post games! I will remember this experience fondly and am happy the Holiday Inn Express played a role.

Everything was easy. It was very clean quiet and the breakfast was better than the usual. No problems and I would stay again. We were an event at South Dakota State and it was very convenient. There was a good steak house very near on same side of freeway and it was very good with attentive serivice.

Good stay here for a few days whilst my motorbike was being serviced in Rapid City. The guy on reception was really friendly and very helpful. Room was good hotel was convenient for restaurants. Breakfast could be healthier but hey, its North America so what did I expect. Hotel could also try and use less single use disposable stuff (eg. plates, cups, cutlery etc)... but that seems to be a national obsession and not just this hotel chain.

Arrived in the dark- the young person checked us in was extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was doable but juice machine was broke down. Not drastic thing. Decor was non existent on the property. With exception, Christmas decor we saw inside and out was nice. Dining room had white walls, table and chairs and a tv. Very stark and unwelcoming. Our stay was ok. Employees were awesome.

I stay at this hotel frequently when I’m in Rapid City. It’s been quite nice since the remodel and the staff are always friendly. It’s clean, quiet, and comfortable for a great price.

Very modern updates, clean and the restaurant. The millstone family restaurant in front of the building was a great place to eat. I would definitely recommend and I will stay there again.

For less than $70.00 this will be our new stopping point traveling between Montana and Mayo. Super friendly even with late late need--check in and room was very organized, clean and had a fridge, giant tv , AC that worked, coffee pot and they did offer a light breakfast area but we went to the little gas station--restaurant next door. So friendly and they had everything you may need. (I also checked my bed because someone in these reviews tried to say they had bugs and it was sparkling and also my bed was very comfortable) And also the price was amazing! Way more offered here than most places that charge over $100.00/night. My husband left phone charger and I called and he is going to drop it in the mail for me which is overand above-just a great place in the middle of bigger towns that can charge you way more than needed for a clean place to sleep.

Convenient location right off I-90. Rooms clean, quiet and beds were comfortable. Friendly front desk person with in room coffee. Restaurant just across the parking lot with good breakfast and convenient gas station.

On a sightseeing trip in South Dakota on our way to visit family in North Dakota. Booked a room here online and mistakenly booked the wrong night. I called the motel and the manager corrected my error and was SO nice! The room was clean and had refrigerator, TV, AC, coffee pot, and light breakfast. The bed was comfortable. Most of all I appreciated the fact it was reasonably priced, clean and FRIENDLY and HELPFUL!!!

Clean room, great hot shower, close to diner and gas station right off the highway. Could use some updates but great for 1 night stop while passing through. Diner in gas station has great breakfast and bar and grillclub vega in town was amazing as well. Glad we stopped here.

This motel is directly on the side of the road and we had a room on the front. Front desk upgraded our room so that we had 2 double beds and they were extremely polite and helpful. The walk into town was only about 5 mins and there is enough to keep you occupied for a few hours. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good

We needed a pet friendly hotel close to Mt Rushmore. We found this quaint little in, that was perfect. Price is fair, although it is not a 5 star, it had what we needed. The couple running the hotel were so nice, and helpful. If you are not a hotel snob and want a clean, quiet, and quaint place to stay. So happy with our choice.

We found the staff very helpful and informative. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great value and location as the shops and restaurants were only a 5 minute walk.

The Brookside Motel felt more like staying in a cute little cottage or cabin rather than in a motel. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the Motel seems to attract other friendly tourist. We striked up multiple conversations with people at this motel and got along with everyone. Very close to Mount Rushmore and other attractions in Keystone.

On my last trip every super 8 I stayed at was run down and had horrible breakfast (ie coffee and fruit if you got down quick enough). It was not the case at Watertown. Everything was clean and you could tell someone cared about the small details. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but the breakfast area was clean and there was a selection of cereal for my son, biscuits n gravy, waffles, toast, milk and actual juice in the juice machine. This Super 8 was a step above every Super 8 I've been too and also one of the cheaper ones I've stayed at. If I travel in that area again I will be staying there again.

I loved having a handicap room. My husband had surgery and it was great that he didn't have far to walk. I'm so used to having a tub chair and it was easy to take a shower, being able to sit down while washing my hair. Breakfast was great, having a choice between waffles or biscuit and gravy. The orange juice was good. The room was clean, the halls were clean and the entryway was also clean.

This place was awesome. I just grabbed a cheap room off Hotels.com and didn't expect much. I got a great room. Yes, it is a bit dated. But it was clean no odors and the place was safe. At about midnight i woke up with really bad heartburn. Everything was closed. The guy at the front desk got me some milk from the breakfast bar. I must have had 4 glasses. This was really cool. He didn't need to do that but he did. He was also very caring while getting me the milk. Checking to see if I needed more or anything. This was just an epic place.

The gentleman owner was super nice and helpful. Check in was easy and parking was ample! The beds are very hard, pillows very flat, linens dingy but otherwise the place was clean. Breakfast was orange juice, hostess cakes, bread, cereal, coffee, milk and bananas.

Reasonably priced, clean, basic hotel, great place to stay in the Sioux Falls area. Very friendly owners. The area is quiet, it located in a small town with good food options and a great walking trail and park.

Typical older property. Felt safe and is economic. The counter clerk is extremely helpful and friendly.

My husband and I stayed at your Staybridge Suites on April 24th and April 25th. I was having a surgical procedure done on the 25th, so I was required to stay in town the night of the surgery on the 25th before our 100 mile drive home the next day. I could not have been in a more pleasant & clean & comfortable setting the night before the surgery and the night of the surgery. It was such a nice suite...I hated to leave there on the 26th. Liz & Jerzy at the front desk were very pleasant and accommodating, and the evening meal and breakfast were wonderful. On the morning of the 26th, I was so impressed with Jodi and Tara in the Breakfast area....everything was really clean and so inviting, and all of the food was SO delicious. Due to the fact that I work part-time in a Hotel Breakfast Buffet Area, I notice those things. I give the whole Hotel Experience there an A+, and we would definitely stay there again! Kudos to your great staff!

I don’t write reviews usually, but I do read them and everything I read was spot on. This hotel is so clean and modern. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, the kitchenette was a great added bonus, large hallways, and the breakfast was fantastic. It was worth the extra money for a such a clean hotel. Staff was also very welcoming and helpful. The pool is small but my kids had a ball. The chlorine was pretty strong for me but that’s a minimal complaint. I will definitely look to stay at this chain again.

The exceptional customer service, me, my family and our service dog were given. For example, when we first arrived, our service dog was greeted with a doggy welcome bag with a treat inside - really nice touch. The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. We were there for the Nike XC race event that weekend and we knew the hotel was very busy due to a lot of other events going on at that same weekend too, but the staff were great, really professional. Breakfast choices were very good too and the hotel room we were given was well maintained and very clean.

Lovely breakfast, best I've seen for a free breakfast, super friendly employees. Rooms are modern, love the tile and kitchen/bath fixtures. Rooms very very clean. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Hallways are wide and bright. The gal working at the breakfast was very sweet as well as the front desk. Nice hot tub and pool. Pool a little too cold.

This is probably the nicest budget friendly hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Nestled in Hill City, 20-30 minutes away from all the big attractions. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and cozy. The beds were sooo comfortable! My husband gives the showers 10/10. He is a shower snob! The full breakfast was filling every morning. My kids loved the waffle makers with the extra toppings provided. There is a fire pit to sit around at night and make s’mores if you want. The staff offered carrots to field the wild donkeys in Custer state park. My kids loved the indoor pool. There aren’t enough good things I can say about this place. The little down town is about a two minute drive to cute coffee shops (stop by Elizabeth’s) The only thing to note is there is not an elevator for the second floor. We called the hotel before we arrived and they so kindly accommodated us with a first floor room. If we ever travel Back this way again we will definitely stay here!

This hotel was excellent!! The views were great, the staff was great, the facilities were great!! The room was clean, the pool area was clean, the lobby was clean, the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The staff were very friendly and the views were great!! I would definitely come back to this hotel. Hill City is beautiful and this was our first time there, we absolutely would come back and stay here again.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! House cleaning was great! Breakfast was ok. Mexican restaurant next door was good. Beds were so comfy! Rooms cleaned and spacious. Swimming pool is great for the kids and the 2 hot tubs were so nice and relaxing! One bad thing was we were on the 4th floor and water pressure was so low, it took about 30 minutes before you got warm water and you had to shower quickly because we would loose the warm water within about 10-15min. Overall this was a wonderful hotel to stay at!

Hotel location was great. Right by the interstate, which made the travel to all of the sightseeing locations awesome. Upon arrival, at my request request, we got upgraded to a king suite which was spacious and comfortable. Staff behind the desk were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. An excellent Mexican restaurant is attached to the hotel. Bed, pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special. What you would come to expect in this class level hotel.

I loved the adult swim and hot tub time between 11-12 pm. It's good to work out the soreness of the day. We were tucked in the back on the 4th floor with quietness and privacy. We traveled with a Boston Terrier, and she didn't make a fuss in the room. That tells me they vacuum and clean the rooms well. The staff member Charles was professional and friendly upon check-in and was available to set up the timers in the pool room for us. The room was clean and Leslie left a nice message. Thank you, Leslie. Microwave and fridge in the room. The shower was great! Love the soft water. Ice machine across the hall was full. We didn't eat breakfast; resting was more important for us. However, when I went to the lobby for coffee, the room was packed with people eating cold and hot food. It looked acceptable. The parking was available for our Ford Expedition and U-haul trailer around the outer back perimeter. They have concierge carts to bring everything to the elevator in the lobby up to the 4th floor, surprisingly easy process when it's after 10pm arrival.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Great restaurant and casino with bars. Staff were all friendly and accommodating.

They left a rubber ducky and chocolates in the room, the staff were kind, the valet was free and amazing, the room was very comfortable and clean, and it is right on the strip so we could walk around, we had our dog and he was comfortable in the cool room.

Every thing was extremely enjoyable with our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant was fantastic, steaks were cooked to perfection and even did well on the machines.

Great location to Main Street. Restaurant had delicious food. We had a VIP suite, room was clean, large and a super comfy bed. Staff were great to deal with.

The hotel looked inviting when we entered - lovely decor and clean. Front desk staff was very professional and helpful when I asked about sights in the city and parking. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. I particularly liked one of the women who was working the breakfast room. She would cheerfully engage every guest in a short and welcoming conversation. I would choose to stay here again when I visit Rapid City.

This place REALLY exceeded my expectations -- it might be listed as a Howard Johnson but it is NOTHING like any of the Howard Johnsons we stayed on, on this road trip. Elevation's rooms are HUGE, spotless, super-comfortable, well-lit, and well-equipped. The staff was super friendly, parking was easy, and the fitness center, indoor pool, and hot tub were great pluses. The bed was super-comfortable and everything inside the room was new. Location was amazing for anything you want to do in the Black Hills area... plus I highly recommend staying in this city for best access to restaurants and other conveniences. Amazing price for the comfort and convenience. I hope to be back!

Beautiful property, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was extra special with pancakes plus fruit and whip cream for pancakes and waffles. The lady working in the breakfast room is Perfect at her job! Robert was friendly and helpful!

Overall, the property was clean and the remodel was evident. There were some signs of wear probably things that should’ve been replaced when they did the remodel, but they cheated out. Parking lot was convenient. We had a small trailer I was able to find parking with no issue front desk, staff were very helpful and friendly as was the breakfast attendant. Breakfast was actually surprisingly good. It was very busy at 6:30 AM but was still well stocked. I always wish they had more fresh fruit at these type of breakfasts, they did have bananas and apples. The jets in the hot tub were not working, we didn’t actually go swimming or get in the hot tubs because there was an absurd amount of men hanging out. Not the hotel’s fault just a total sausage party we didn’t want any part of.

This hotel is less than a block from downtown Sioux Falls' vibrant and fun Phillips Ave. Lots of bars, restaurants, unique shopping and Falls Park all within 15 minutes walking. Hotel itself was clean. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, most notably Sharon, the lovely gal who runs the breakfast. She keeps her area clean and well-stocked. She is always interacting with folks, especially kids, with cheer and kindness. She is a true customer service pro! Our room and bed were comfy, and the shower was excellent.

I had a very satisfying stay at this hotel. Alan, the desk clerk, was very friendly and helpful in helping me find a nearby restaurant that served "chislic", a local specialty. The hotel was also easily walkable to the concert hall where I heard a performance by the South Dakota Symphony. My room was very clean, with a wonderfully comfortable bed. And the shower was quick to give a strong flow of nicely hot water. The free-breakfast was ample, with scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, waffles, oranges, bananas, cereals, muffins, biscuits, gravy, coffee, milk, OJ, etc.. And the attendant, whose name I didn't catch, was just charming in making sure that everything was in order. Definitely a great find in downtown Sioux Falls!

They seem to be renovating the rooms, and ours had a fresh, new bathroom and bright white towels. The linens were nice and the bed was very comfortable. We had a view of the river from our room which was nice. There is an onsite restaurant so we didn't need to leave the hotel and we just relaxed and had dinner on the patio. Breakfast was good with all the usual offerings-hot and cold. Coffee and cookies in the lobby was a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay.

They were left hanging on my door handle which I am truly grateful for. He also recommended a restaurant for dinner which I attended and enjoyed. The view was perfect , the room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the lady working front desk when I checked out was also very friendly. Curb appeal was good. Front desk was cordial. Room was spacious and fairly clean. It was a handicap accessible room but on 2nd floor. They had an elevator so that’s nice. Shower had black mold at basin at the basin was pitched towards wall so it didn’t drain well. Only shower head was hand wand style. Several floor tiles were loose and grout was missing or loose. Window had view of roof. Room had second sing but no cabinet doors so you could see plumbing. Hot tub was a warm tub with shower water hotter. Coffee was okay but milk was spoiled and breakfast was near non existent.

The Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Tyler went the extra mile to assist us with an issue with Booking.com issue with my brothers room. Janet kept the breakfast bar full of food and clean. And Michelle was very helpful in getting the family rooms on the same floor

I really liked everything about the hotel except the breakfast wasn't that great, it wasn't bad not much of a selection. I would recommend staying there if you get a chance.

I am a regular Hilton property guest. The front desk team here stand out. I made a mistake and reserved the wrong dates. Stacey went above and beyond to correct that and provide a room for my vacation stop. The property is recently renovated with very comfortable beds and very clean. Breakfast was generous. The team had a list of restaurant suggestions. Plus a finesse center and neighborhood behind the property safe and friendly for a run and walk after lots of driving.

Hotel property was very clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. Was close to I-29 but situated in a quiet neighborhood which allowed for a restful sleep. Great breakfast options. Small family owned restaurant across the street was convenient after a long drive. Would definitely stay here again.

We were pulling our camper but needed a place to spend the night. Heidi was so accommodating and helpful. When we walked in, it just smelled so clean. We were not disappointed. Everything was so clean. Breakfast was awesome…everything from cereal to bacon and eggs. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

My husband and I were on our way back from visiting his sister out West. This is a 28 hour drive for us, and we just drive as long as we can till we get tired. It’s so refreshing to find a clean place to shower and sleep at 11 PM! It’s even more pleasant when they don’t price gouge you, like other mediocre, dirty hotels that we stopped at and refused to stay. The breakfast was fresh and they had a lot of breakfast options. Highly recommend this particular Hampton Inn!

I don't usually review Hampton Inns, cause they are very much the same... solid, but not spectacular. I stayed several times at this one and found that it was welcoming and friendly and avoided excessive corporate vibes. The lobby has a profusion of very well cared for plants. The breakfast staff is friendly. Nice cooler of water near the front entrance. It's got a very easy location right off the freeway. Well maintained.

I spent a restful night with my family. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was exceptional with several choices. A good clean pool/spa area with just the right temperature. The front desk person was in professional dress and very friendly. We will stay again.

One of the better hotels to stay in while in Brookings, if not too picky and you are on a budget. Wasn’t too expensive but it also wasn’t a busy time. Our room was nice, clean, comfy. I like that there was a microwave and frig in the room. Definitely recommend and will stay there again… I did book another stay for next month. Staff was nice. Breakfast was ok. It didn’t wow me. It was not bad in general. Just wish there was fresh fruit and fresh bakery. I had issues with something in the bathroom and breakfast which I will report directly to the hotel. However like I said, I will try another visit because everything else was perfect. Thank you!

This is our "go to" hotel in Brookings. I like their pool and small but efficient gym. The rooms are super clean and the beds comfy. It's in a convenient, quiet location with easy access to SDSU and downtown. But it's the staff that make this hotel a regular for us. Mechele (I believe that's the correct spelling) is very convivial and puts a great effort into the breakfast area and greats everyone with a smile to start the day! And Jay at the front desk is professional and efficient.

We were pleasantly surprised by this Super 8. The room was clean and spacious, with plenty of room for our belongings. We're traveling across the country and staying in a mix of budget-friendly and higher-end hotels, and this stay actually outshone a few of the Hilton properties we've visited. Our room was conveniently located on the first floor, with our car parked right in front—making it easy to keep an eye on our vehicle, Starlink, and bike. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and remained empty throughout our stay, which was a nice bonus. The staff was excellent—friendly and very accommodating with our requests for early check-in and late check-out. A great experience overall!

Highly recommended to stay in the City of the Presidents. In the heart of downtown where you can meet all those statues of Presidents. Walking distance to restaurants and saloons. Cozy room. Airport shuttlee is provided with a fee. Restaurant and bar on the ground floor serves breakfast and dinner. Great breakfast but it is not included.

Great location, walkable to downtown which is why I stayed here because I did not rent a car for my trip. I ate the breakfast buffet one morning and it was just okay but not bad for $14. I took a Lyft from the airport to the hotel but was able to get an early morning shuttle to the airport for only $10. While I was not traveling with a group tour, I noticed this hotel was a meeting spot for many motor coach tours where guests were in the lobby every morning, waiting on the departure of the buses. I must say the bed was very comfortable for me because I like soft mattresses, and I think this is the only hotel I've ever stayed at that did not have down pillows which are not preferable for me anyway! I slept very well despite the noises that I heard from outside, including the nearby train and the lightest rainfall sounded like hail against the windows. The windows were not soundproof at all. The room was average/ fine, but the bathrooms could use an upgrade. There is vinyl tile on the walls in the shower and yellowed shower curtains, along with a finicky hot water temperature adjustment. Rooms do not include mini fridge so I couldn't take my leftover pizza from dinner. Overall, my stay was pleasant.

I loved the location of the Palmer Gulch Lodge. Closed to all the sights we came to see. Beautiful location and the property offered everything we needed - plus! Outdoor pool, pickleball court, dining, specialty stores- ice cream, pizza, fudge, wine/ coffee shop and a singer in the evenings. Plus horseback riding and lessons for the kids. We brought our 14 year old grand nephew and he had so much fun. The staff at the from desk was extremely helpful in reference to what up see and do. Thank you! Plus there was a free continental breakfast every morning. The property is pet friendly and did not charge extra for a pet. We had our cat with us and the staff was very nice to greet her. The lodge is showing its age in reference to our room. The room temperature was difficult to control and the heating /air unit was very loud. The bathroom light was connected to a very loud fan- not a separate switch so it woke everyone up if you need to use the bathroom - or makes it difficult to hear the TV if someone is in the bathroom. The sink is outside of the bathroom - so not privacy getting ready in the morning or night. The shower head was a misty spray and went everywhere and the bathroom sink was clogged. The rooms are old as well as the linens , blankets and bedspreads. The mattresses were okay but the pillows were very lumpy. Would I stay again? Yes- because of the location, staff, and amenities. We used the pool everyday and if was well kept and there were plenty of chairs.

All four of us enjoyed our three nights here. It’s so conveniently located to sights in the area. Mount Rushmore is no more than 10 minutes. There is a coffee/wine shop, restaurant, general store, ice cream, pizza, and more. We scratched the surface of activities for the kids. We never made it into the pool or to the fun zone but we did play on the playground and play ga-ga. My husband and I loved sitting in the balcony. There is a breakfast but it’s cold (hence continental) so you might want to get some other items at the store.

Took our grandkids on a road trip to the Black Hills and we based our stay here. It was central to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Keystone, Custard State Park and Hill City. We stayed in the lodge beside the pool. The kids loved it! There is so much to do right there at the lodge. The lodge is old but was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were pretty good. The fan with the bathroom light was soooo loud - there was no sneaking to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The free breakfast was only cereal, yogurt and muffins or bagels but that was as advertised. All in all we had a wonderful time and I would be happy to stay here again.

We stayed here three nights for a family vacation. It was clean, the staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was standard continental with very good coffee. We loved the outdoor pool and hot tub. The kids played pickleball every day (they can "check out" paddles and balls at the front desk). There were so many activities for the family to do on site, which was nice to come back to after sight-seeing around the Black Hills. The restaurants at the campground were pretty good, too. I recommend this property and would go back there again!

Breakfast had a very good selection, two hot protein choices of eggs and ham, waffles, apple and orange juice, yoghurts and milk, oatmeal, and some cold cereal, along with breads, muffins, and bagels. Imagine if your grandmother opened a hotel: dark woods, inviting chairs, board games, a warm and welcoming "vibe". This is exactly how we felt during our stay. The staff was courteous and attentive to questions. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were clean and comfortable. Mini fridge, microwave, iron/ironing board and coffee maker in room. Hot water with good pressure. A/C worked well. This is a safe, quiet hotel with an outdoor pool and free continental breakfast. Perkins 24 hr restaurant next door. Target, Wal-Mart, Sam's, etc one block away. BEST location for seeing attractions, as it sits right off Hwy 90. Highly recommend!

We decided to book this hotel while traveling on vacation thru Rapid City SD, This is a nice uniquely appointed hotel with some sort of old school charm, Was in a good location, Had a very nice outdoor pool and lounging area, Staff was friendly and Rooms were very clean and Comfortable as well and towels were good quality....everyone in our group got a good nights sleep here. Rooms were also pretty spacious and had decent Wifi. Reason giving it 4 rather than 5 stars is while Pillows and linens were very comfy the beds were a bit on the firmer side. If you like a little firmer bed it would be just fine for you as was a friendly and clean place but was a little bit of a firmer bed. And bathroom area was very tight or tiny there wasn't much space between the toilet and tub area at all. It did have a larger vanity area outside the bathroom though for getting ready in the morning. Had good water and water pressure. Overall for the price paid it was a very good deal for the area and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Was good value overall and good location too.

We booked the Foothills Hotel for an overnight stay in the Rapid City area. We paid $105.61 which was one of the lowest rates for a night stay in the area. It was also the cheapest rate for an 8/10 rated hotel. The Foothills Hotel is conveniently located off major highways. It is right next door to a casino tavern and walking distance to a Perkins Restaurant. There are many conveniences nearby. There is some off-street free parking but not much turn around space for larger vehicles. The front desk staff were efficient and friendly. There was a $10 "processing fee" upon check in and a $100 security deposit. The hotel is two stories but does not have an elevator. The grounds, building and rooms were clean. It was busy and there was some street and hall noise. We had a larger mini fridge with a freezer section though you had to plug it in if you wanted to use it. We had a microwave and coffee maker. We had a hairdryer, iron and board. We had a two-drawer dresser. There was a desk with chair, a separate lounge chair and a comfortable king bed. The bathroom had a separate vanity from the shower, tub and toilet. There was a reliable ice machine on the first floor. There was a protected outdoor pool with towels provided. The internet was free and reliable. The breakfast was very limited mainly continently fair (cereal & toast). The Foothills is sort of a throwback Hotel but in very good shape. It was a great place to stay while in the Black Hills.

Room was clean and spacious. Had clean sheet, towels, fridge. Everything was very nice. Quiet room, you can’t hear the upstairs or neighbor. Outdated but great price. Breakfast is okay. No fruit but Walmart is a block away. Would not suggest restaurant next door.

This hotel was very good. Rooms were clean and large . Swimming pool was cold but so are most but jacuzzi was lovely after a day sightseeing and driving . It is set amongst shops and plenty of places around the hotel to eat within walking distance. We ate at Blarneys Bar across the other side of the road and it was a very good meal and drinks at very reasonable prices. Breakfast was good plenty of choice although not a large space to sit in. I would recommend this and stay again if passing.

The facilities are older but well maintained and clean. Hot tub was welcome after a long day of travel. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Bottles of water and snacks at the front desk were a nice touch. Reasonable breakfast with hot eggs, sausage, bagels and fresh coffee. We'll be back!!

Beds have 4 comfy pillows and mattresses are older and a bit bouncy, yet comfy. We had a mountain view which looks over the parking area & busy hwy. I would suggest a downtown street side if available (slightly quieter I'm sure). Historic hotel with ghosts....oooooh....great timing being Oct 😉. Our best local tips: *No breakfast (which is a little hard to find in town on a Monday am off-season)....so just trust me, and head for Lou Lou's Bombdigities, for a meal that will fill tummy & ❤️! *Grab your trolley tokens for $1 at the front desk. *The selfie tour was kind of fun....take a selfie with every image you find of Wild Bill and turn in at Visitor Center for a free sticker/magnet/gaming money. *Mr. Wu's has super affordable beer for $1 spin the wheel & $2 drafts. *Casino Hotel has $2 bottles, a nice rooftop patio, and a great collection of movie memorabilia! They also have Buffalo Snot beer which is delish! *And make sure to take a drive and short BEAUTIFUL hike, to Mt. Roosevelt to see the Friendship Tower & scenic overlook.

This place is the real deal. My husband and I visited, first just to stop in and check it out. We saw they had a ghost tour and inquired about it to the manager, Matt, and his wife Vicki(e?). First off, I don't find many humans today that I legitimately ENJOY concerstion with like I did Matt and Vickie. We chatted for awhile and came back later for the tour. Honestly, I was blown away at how great the tour was. Matt, you're a gifted, old-school storyteller. This tour was a perfect balance of history and ghost stories - they bring the receipts and have some WILD pictures of things that have been captured over the years. This tour is conversational. The property is amazing. This was one of the most welcoming, fun tours we have ever done (and we've done them all over the country). Thank you for the amazing experience. It made my husband and I decide we'd like to return and actually stay in the Bullock. Pictures don't do it justice - it's so much more elegant in person. The bar, Bullys, has a killer breakfast. Both the bar tenders (maybe Katrina and John...?) were super friendly and made you feel like you belong - which is saying something because we don't drink alcohol. Everyone that works in this hotel is someone you could enjoy a good conversation with. They don't make places or folks like these anymore?

I love the bullocks haunted history and I love the staff and the breakfast is off the charts. She does an amazing job cooking and serving in bully's restaurant. Definitely the place to sleep, get up and eat a delectable breakfast. The English muffin breakfast sandwiches are simply divine and the service was top notch!!! I recommend the bullock as the best motel in deadwood for the history and the prices... Definitely the best in town!!! Amazing service and amazing drinks with generous machines!!! What more could you want!!!! Keep up the amazing work bullock hotel you have a customer for life my wife and I love it here. Thank you!!l til next time.

We thought the hotel was great when we arrived and our overnight stay was excellent. We were very disappointed in the restaurant staff in the morning. We were looking for a convenient good breakfast and read where the restaurant serves great meals. We went to the restaurant and the staff was very unfriendly and uncooperative in seating us and serving breakfast. They told us that they may not be able to serve us breakfast and we would have to wait 45 minutes before they could get to our orders. There were open seats in the restaurant and it appeared they didn’t want to serve us. We won’t be staying there again.

This historic hotel is just that, a historic building which is now a hotel. It’s not a Ritz Carlton but it is super cool. Our room was quite small but I knew that going in as we booked kind of late. The bathroom was really big so that helped a lot. Bed was clean and quite comfortable. Our view was of nothing (ac units and a roof) which was fine because it was super quiet. We assumed we would hear a lot of street noise but heard none. We loved the convenience - we walked almost everywhere we went. The people watching from the front benches was a lot of fun too! We ate breakfast at Bullys 3 days in a row and it was so so good. You must try the pancakes! Staff was friendly; not overly but not rude. Sadly, no ghosts in our room. We would stay again but would secure a larger room. Oh, free parking across the street in the back was great. Also have a little drop off area behind so you don’t have to drag your stuff across the street. That was a nice find we thought.

Very clean. Check in was great. Woman that checked us in was also our server at attached restaurant. Very nice. Only complaint, actually 2, there are Jacuzzi tubs in bedrooms that are a little strange, but when people used them above us, the noise was horrible! And the luggage carts need air in their tires. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Bed comfortable and room clean!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was clean, modern, and quiet. The towels were large and fluffy. The room was spacious, with a comfortable chair and comfortable bed. The AC unit was quiet. There is a bar and grille attached to the hotel, and the food there was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast at the hotel had a good variety of offerings. I would definitely stay here again.

We like the laminate flooring in place of carpet which makes for a cleaner place. The carpets are never as clean as the laminate. The decor is tastefully done, the bed was comfortable, the shower head in the handicapped room was so much better than the regular room and so much hot water with great water pressure. The staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. The breakfast buffet was also pretty good too. We recommend this motel to anyone who is visiting the area.

Lots of channels available on the TV. Very clean and they provided lots of pillows and extra towels in the room. Hot coffee was available just down the hall in the lobby around the clock and the room card allowed entry into the breakfast room round the clock in case plastic silverware, paper plates, or napkins were needed. Breakfast was typical for Best Western: eggs, sausage, cereal, waffle maker, yogurt, toaster, small selection of donuts, muffins, and bagels. Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, milk, and 2 kinds of juice available. We have stayed at all the chain lodging in town and this is the best. In addition it is right next door to the grocery store and just down the street from a super Walmart and Dollar Store—-very convenient location.

I would highly recommend this great little hotel in the charming town of Vermillion! ! Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, quiet, comfy bed, great shower & close to shopping. Breakfast was good, hot & cold. Pet friendly and nice park close by for walking dogs.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Convenient to a Hyvee and Starbucks. We were able to grab a quick meal we could prepare in our room, and replenish shampoos and beauty items. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast in the morning was good. Coffee was good. Small hotel, everyone uses same elevator.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Vermillion Inn. The quiet, clean, pet friendly environment was convenient and easily accessible. Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.

Staff was very friendly. Hotel looks aged on the outside and needs a fresh coat of paint, but is very clean and comfortable on the inside. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

I really liked everything from the moment I walked in the door! The staff checking in & out were very friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable, the AC worked AND was very quiet (so rare in hotels!), and the interstate was easily accessible. The location was also near various restaurants, gas stations and the most friendly Starbucks I have ever been to.

My wife and I traveled from South Dakota to Iowa for a family commitment, and we needed a half-way point to stay for one night. We had stayed at the Super 8 in Mitchell in past years ... which was OK. This time, we opted for AmericInn, due to a cheaper price. Although the grounds were not overly (visually) appealing, due to the cracked parking lot (and a few potholes) and a "beat up" staff truck parked near the entrance ... along with unkept landscaping, we were impressed when entering the lobby. A large fireplace and comfy chairs (and couch) greeted us ... very warm and welcoming. The interior of the facility appeared well kept and well managed. The reception staff was OK ... nothing wrong, just seemed like the person was only working for the paycheck ... actually eating their dinner / snacks at the counter. Nonetheless, we were upgraded to a suite, which was nice ... and room was very big, LOTS of space to move around and relax. The breakfast was OK ... nothing special. Checkout process was easy and efficient. And overall, it was a nice place to stay for one night. NOTE: Nearby restaurants were in easy walking distance, making it even better for its location.

Service was excellent- desk clerk was most helpful, friendly, and efficient. Property was well taken care of, beautiful lobby and clean rooms. Good location and perfect stay on a long trip.

This hotel was very basic and met our needs, but at a minimum level. We were here for 3 nights and rented 2 rooms for a party of 4. During our stay, we had to order additional towels and washcloths. Strangely, there were no towel racks to hang wet towels, hand towels, or wash cloths. I guess they were just supposed to go on the floor. That would have been ok if we had room service to take away the dirty ones and replace them with clean ones. The room was nice, clean and basic. The breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast fair with powdered eggs, funny sausage and usual other stuff. The coffee was just funny tasting colored water. We wanted to wake up with some COFFEE! Varooom! Put some grounds in it and start your engine. One of our party doesn't drink coffee, the other three of us independently without coercion said this coffee was BAAAD. We tried the room coffee and it was only marginally better. On this 20-day trip, we only found one hotel that actually had "good" coffee. This is not how we remembered it from past vacations and we don't think we are coffee snobs. The staff gave us great service and top notch recommendations for dining in Rapid City. We went to both - one nearby and one in historic downtown. Great recommendations by Denise and a huge thank you. The hotel was very comfortable for a vacation stay. We did however return for two nights at the end of our vacation and selected another hotel in the area that had a few more comforts for nearly the same price.

The breakfast was outstanding, delicious warm and nice variety, in addition to eggs and bacon or sausage, they had so many choices of toast, Danishes, cereal and make your own waffles, yogurt, fruit and great coffee. Dining area was spacious with plenty of seating, clean & very inviting. Rooms were very clean, modern up-to-date furnishings, nice thick towels and plenty of them, well working ac. Staff went over the top to accommodate us with early arrival. Location is perfect with so many dining, shopping and gas facilities to choose from. Right off the Interstate, but the rooms are nearly soundproof as I never heard traffic or guest walking down the hall, next door or above us or running of the showers. Beds are fabulous!! Slept better than I ever had while traveling. They had a full-house but we were made to feel as we were their only guest! Right where we needed to be for all the fun sight-seeing and attending the Bike Rally. I will see them again for sure!

Check in was amazing, friendly staff. Free HOT breakfast with coffee is included from 7am -10am. They have a pool which was nice but the hot tub was closed as well as the kids slide. It looked like they were both closed for maintenance. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Nice and quiet, clean hotel. Advertised that it is close to Mount Rushmore, the hotel is a 40 minute drive to Mount Rushmore.

All staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the night.

We were there for two nights and the first night & first morning they did not have bath towels available, we used the towels from the pool and during the first morning for breakfast they were out of cups, there was no meat offered for the hot breakfast. The 2nd mornings things seemed to be better but there was still no meat served. The slide and the hot tub were broke and the staff said they had no idea when would be back working. Outside of these little incidents the place was lovely. I would definitely stay there again.

Can't ask for better location in Deadwood. This historic hotel is full of period charm and ambience, with a little Vegas Strip thrown in thanks to all the gaming machines on the ground floor. Staff was friendly and helpful; room was spacious and spotless; bed was super comfortable; dinner at onsite restaurant Legends was delicious and reasonably priced.

Fun place to stay. Historic hotel in Deadwood means it's old, obviously. Old hotel means that it's not got all the modern conveniences, which is their charm, really. We stayed in the Seth Bullock room, which had 2 comfortable queen beds and a very small bathroom. It had a cast iron claw-foot bathtub with an old track on it for the shower curtain. Nobody goes to Deadwood to spend lots of time in their room. You go to visit history, and this place has loads of it.

The historic rooms have recently been renovated and the remodel was top notch!! Beds super comfortable, large shower head in walk in shower and lighted mirror by sink. It was a very clean and classic upgrade! The staff is so nice and accommodating!!

The location was perfect. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Brandon was super helpful and friendly.

The hotel is one block from a main street but was quiet. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Elevator to upper floors. Coffee and Ice water with lemons between the front door and check-in counter. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles (self make), packaged pastries, fruit cups, yogurt, cereals. No fresh fruit. I would stay here again.

We had a reunion over a 4 day stay here. The rooms were fresh and inviting. CLEAN. Beds were comfortable.. LG TV was new with a great picture. They allowed our group to use their breakfast room for an early evening pizza party. Another afternoon we set up the TV in that room with a computer showing old family photos to a large group. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We’ll take here again. Oh, and the price was great.

I also like that they repainted the outside and added nice plants to compliment the exterior.

I loved the location, very easy off/on to I-90. Nice outdoor seating area with a grill and fireplace. The room was nice and spacious, my only complaint was the shower. The pressure was too hard and the shower head sprayed water in all different directions. Maybe it was just my room with a bad shower head. Blackout curtains would have been nice as my room was facing partially east so I had sunlight beaming in at 5am but the bed was very comfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear the conversation in the next room. Breakfast was pretty good. My first morning I woke up to staff knocking on my door at 7:45am, which was slightly annoying. Overall not a bad stay. Just maybe wait until at least 8:30/9am to knock on doors ;)

Central location. I liked having a separate bedroom. There was a full refrigerator, dishwasher, small stovetop, dishes, and a few pans. Air conditioning worked well. Curtains were heavy enough to keep light out in the morning. Room was very clean. There were two TVs. One in the sitting area and one in the bedroom. They were both large flat screens. Complementary breakfast was nice. They had some pastries, bagels, muffins, yogurt, boiled eggs, sausage and biscuits, waffle maker, juice, cereal, and yogurt. Breakfast goes until 10 AM which is nice. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant. They do not enter your room to clean. If you need more towels, you just put your basket outside the door with the dirty ones. You can also ask for anything else you need.
