We enjoyed everything about our stay at South Padre Island. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The grounds were well maintained and a lot of options for relaxing. The beach is beautiful and the sunrise each morning was amazing. We ate break at the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious with very generous servings.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean and spacious, beach access was good and the bar/restaurant at the beach was good with bathrooms too, only thing i found very intense was the amount of chlorine in the pool (and that one of the jacuzzis was not that warm) but that is subjective i guess.

Had an awesome stay, great hotel. Everyone was very friendly. Beautiful deck walk to the beach. Bar and restaurant in Hotel. Beachfront bar n grill as well. Will definitely stay here again , family had a great time!!

Overall it was an amazing stay! The room was clean and beds comfortable. We had a great view of the ocean. We were missing a quilt for the sofa bed and took a while to get it to us, but otherwise had no complaints about the room. The kiddie pool was blocked off and one of the hot tubs is cold, like the pool. The breakfast was great as was the restaurant. We would absolutely stay at this property again.

Great property all around. The rooms were so nice and clean and large. The pool area was amazing and clean and the dining was good too. The outdoor bar was a nice touch. Beach access was fantastic. I can't wait to come back this summer.

The rooms look exactly like the pictures. This was an awesome location, close to the beach, stores, boutiques and restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (with the exception of one male member). The free breakfast with juice, cereal, eggs, bagels, toast, oatmeal and coffee was outstanding. The breakfast staff was extremely professional and did a great job of catering to everyone. The location is walking distance from an incredible snorkeling activity, a Dollar General and several other stores.

Booked this hotel as I was a little put off the inclusive resorts at the southern end of SPI. The hotel has a basic hot breakfast included consisting of egg, meat, and waffles. Breakfast was fine but the breakfast area was a bit small which became problematic when the hotel was busy over the weekend. The room was excellent and had an in room safe which was a great bonus. Beds were very comfortable and the room was spotless. Over the four nights we had housekeeping done once, fine, but our room being at the end of the hallway wasn’t done until after 1700 hrs. In terms of location, the beach is a short 10 minute walk away despite being advertised as a “beachfront” hotel. No issue in my eyes but it’s a good to know. Hotel has a pool and fitness centre on site. Staff were polite and did their jobs. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance; but most are within a short drive. A good stay and I had no problems.

Staff was very friendly, room spacious and comfortable. Coffee and hot water available all day, (big plus as I drink a lot of tea) Offered half and half for coffee (not just wimpy milk) and real butter, not just margarine. Waffles daily for breakfast were much appreciated. Beach only short drive and plentiful free parking at any of 20 beach accesses..

First, the staff were amazing, second, the rooms were clean, and the hotel is near a beach access, although under construction during this visit. Breakfast staff, also super amazing, kept everything fresh, clean, and filled. Can't forget to mention the housekeeping staff, they did a wonderful job taking care of us.

Great stay. Loved everything. The staff was great especially young man during breakfast. He was so nice and friendly. Very helpful when I didn't know how to use the waffle maker lol. The breakfast choices were great plenty of options. The location was near all the activities including one block from the beach. Room was clean and inviting and comfy. Great advantage to have washer and dryer onsite as well. Easy to park. I'll definitely return here.

It appears to be recently renovated, so some fixtures are new and modern. Our large suite had a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, bar sink and coffee maker. There was a separate toilet/shower room and the bathroom sink was outside. Breakfast had a decent selection of hot food, cereal and pastry/bread. Beds were comfortable and there was a desk and a sofa in our spacious room. Great value for a very nice property. Mid-island location near the water tower made it easy to find. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel common areas look well-kept and clean except the steps going upstairs. The first step has a dip like there is rotten wood under it but it's covered in carpet. That carpet, is FILTHY. It has turned brown from all the traffic and has not been deep cleaned. Upstairs there were some materials and plastic coverings on the floor, not sure if they were fixing something. Thankfully our room looked clean and had no weird odors. Bed linen was white and clean. Mattress was very comfortable, and they provided 4 pillows per bed. Bathroom was clean too. The shower drain was a bit slow to drain and I was standing in a small pool of water. The clog, or whatever it was eventually resolved and the water started to drain but not fully. That was the only issue I encountered. Breakfast was good. They have plenty of options like cereal, yoghurt, bagels, muffins, waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage, egg, potato, oatmeal, and coffee to name a few. So, overall, it was a good stay, and would stay here again.

For years we've been going to the Island and stayed in a hotel called (what we thought) Comfort Inn and Suites. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the price for the Comfort Inn and laughed out loud when we tried in vain to check into the Comfort Suites. The Comfort Inn is a newly renovated hotel in the center of the strip, one block off the beach and one block off the Laguna. We walked less than 10 minutes to the beach. Our room looked nice and clean. We thought that there was still a faint smell of paint and there are obviously still renovating projects going on. The room with 2 queen beds was spacious and the mattress very comfortable. I had one complaint. Our room was 3 doors away from the reception desk and as it is an open hallway I could hear the conversation of the reception staff in my room at 10 pm. The breakfast was ok with the usual selections but very little seating space. We saw people taking their plates to their room. We recommend this hotel and will come back but choose a room a bit further away from the entrance and reception desk.

Everything was perfect. I am definitely staying here again. Very clean and spacious room. The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was delicious and great selection. My partner and I were extremely satisfied.

Exceptionally clean, modern large, room with small kitchenette area including fridge and microwave. Breakfast was more than sufficient though not a huge choice. Located in the middle of Padre Blvd with short walk to all shops, restaurants, beach, etc.

It would have been nice if they had a bigger pool. And jacuzzi

The room was nice and comfortable, and for a partial view as you all described, was good for us. We enjoyed that view as opposed to the full view above the pool area. The breakfast was always delicious! My daughter and I loved the omelets made to order. We all loved the Belgian waffles with whipped cream and strawberries on top. The biscuits and gravy w/sausage, was yummy. My daughter loved the birria for tacos. The daily specials at outdoor pool bar were nicely priced and also delicious. I think the property could use a jacuzzi poolside. Also a way to have the gates checking to see if you're a guest at the hotel. Also, signage and possibly someone implementing "no feeding" birds. Huge issue!! Most guests don't appreciate it.

The Staff were so amazing and the room was fantastic. We could view the beach from our private balcony. The walk to the beach from the room took less than 5 minutes. The Breakfast was very unexpected. Every thing was fresh and the omelette bar was wonderful. Fresh Barbacoa as well. I will defiantly be staying at this hotel in the future. Also we had the beach almost to ourselves with plenty of sea shells on the beach to collect.

Spur of the moment stay. Took my mom and brother to escape to the beach and can say it was successful. The condition of the property was below average. I was kind of shocked that they would have bathtubs that were all around chipped, and it even chipped on my toe when I took a shower. The balcony also felt like it was going to fall so we avoided stepping out on it. One of the lights by the entrance was flickering, so we left it off because it was creepy. And our room looked to be attached to another room and was only separated by two doors, one you could unlock from your side and I’m pretty sure if the other room decided they could unlock their door and we could look at each other. Made it feel weird but we just placed a chair right there. The service was friendly and helpful, they didn’t provide fresh towels when they took trash, but they were quick to send some up when requested. Beach was an easy walk from the hotel. The complementary breakfast was absolutely amazing and totally raised our review on the property! My family loved the omelette station and we enjoyed picking out of the various options. I drink my coffee black and can say it was some good stuff. We would love to return with my grandparents soon!

Love this property! Such an enjoyable stay with so many options of dining and entertainment around. The room was comfortable, clean, and large with 2 full beds and a comfy pullout bed. The room accommodated 4 and adults and 1 baby. Breakfast has amazing options and we loved the clean pool area. The Beach is walking distance from the swimming pool deck. The morning sunrise was just amazing! I will be back!

Everything is good and working, the breakfasts, you make your own waffles, cereal, oatmeal, etc. everything is good and everything clean, The pool is fine, the water depends on the person but it was the same temperature as the jacuzzi,You are 5 minutes walk from the beach!

The staff were exceptionally professional, welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Microwave was spotless. Breakfast was way more than I expected. Waffles, bagels, cereals, apples, juice, coffee; basics, but more than ample for a guy who rarely eats breakfast. All for the best price on the beach on a rainy November weekend. Recommend.

Excellent property! Staff was very attentive, helpful and accommodating to our needs. Property was well maintained, easily accessible and nice to look at. Rooms were clean, large and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and plenty. Nice selection of hot and cold items, all fresh and yummy!

Staff at check in were super helpful and friendly. Our room was quiet and bed comfy. Sheets were clean but a little bit stained which happens so was understandable. Good central location. Would stay again for the price we paid plus you get a breakfast included which was appreciated.

The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel is older but well kept and very clean and comfortable. The handicap accessible room was clean and the bed was so comfy! They provided a shower bench too. The hotel was easy to access close to the main road.

The hotel is in a great location with direct beach access. The room was spacious and clean, although could use with a revamp as some parts felt a little dated. The heated pool with the bar was lovely. Drinks at the bar were good and evening entertainment was fun. When we checked in we were asked for a card for payment, however the original card used to secure the room through hotels.com was actually charged which was confusing. We had requested a King room but were given a double queen and told no Kings were available, however online it looked like the hotel was still selling King rooms which was confusing. Breakfast was not explained to us and we were not given vouchers for it; we tried Breakfast on the 2nd day and it was almost an hour between getting down there and ordering our food. A buffet would be better. I asked 3 times for a hot drink but never received one. After finishing breakfast I asked if we needed to provide our room number as it was included in our rate, however I received the check and was told we ordered the wrong menu items so had to pay - this had not been explained to us, but after speaking with the front desk they took care of it. The food was OK at best.

Nice, clean hotel with wonderful food and service on the cleanest beach. Rooms were could and clean, beds were comfy and rates were very reasonable for what we received. Food was delicious and because we were there for only 2 days we chose to eat onsite for all meals. Shout out to Nancy, am breakfast server/manager, Scott at the beach restaurant and Roberto, evening server. Did I mention there’s a swim up bar, lol?

1. The location was fantastic! Super close to everything and loved the direct beach access. 2. Bed was comfortable and very clean. 3. The room was clean and the air conditioner was super cold which was great. 4. Food at the restaurant was fantastic and the staff and bartenders were extremely friendly and nice. Liked the restaurant did To Go food and room service. Also, very much enjoyed the Sunday brunch on the top floor of the building overlooking the ocean; the buffet had EXCELLENT choices and variety and loved the steel drummer music.

We stayed at the hotel for a week as a family. My daughter and son-in law had their 4 month old and I stayed with my 18 year old son. The building is in need of improvement and they are making changes. The outside is looking worn and weathered. I had a pool view room and watched every morning as the workers cleaned the pools and the yard around the buildings. Nancy, Violet and one other very nice lady (who I forgot to get her name) were all so very pleasant each morning at breakfast! This was some of the best "hotel" food I've ever had! Fresh delicious fruit every morning. There wasn't a buffet during the week, we order from their menu which meant no one else has coughed or spit on your food!!! We stayed the week before spring break and would do it again. We had no issues with staff or our rooms. Everyone was friendly and accommodating even when my son lost his room key almost every day. I had my service dog with me and there were no issues with his stay at all! They asked the appropriate questions to make sure he wasn't an emotional support animal or just a pet. I not only would stay again but I've recommended this resort to other friends looking for a nice place to take their family and enjoy the beach!

The jacuzzi tub was awesome the room was a clean and the workers were super nice. I will definitely return to this establishment in the future !!!

The rooms were clean for the most part but operation of the jacuzzi was definitely tedious. The willingness and care of their staff certainly made up for it though. Will certainly consider staying again.

Short walk to the beach and places to eat and shop. Quiet stay. The ac worked amazingly and there was plenty of hot water. I paid for a jacuzzi room but the jets in the tub sucked. There wasn't really any pressure. It was the same for the hot tub at the pool. I'd probably stay again because it's in a great location but I'd get a regular room instead of paying for a jacuzzi tub that doesn't work very well.

The front desk workers were very friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations about where to go for the best beach access, restaurants, and other useful information about the area and the tours that were available. We arrived at 4pm but the room wasn’t ready, (they were short help I was told), which was not a big deal for us since we were going to go to the beach right away anyways, this could be problematic for some. The room was very clean, I noticed the sheets smelled fresh, which I don’t normally take note of at other places. The front door was a little Jenny looking, but locked securely. I was expecting it to be noisy, but were were surprised that we didn’t hear any neighboring rooms or outside noise. You get what you pay for most of the time, and I was pleasantly surprised by this gem.

Front desk always friendly and helpful told about the fabulous places to eat at and fabulous places to to go to for local activities ... cleaning lady is the absolute best was also super friendly and told us the best way to get to the beach ..will definitely stay there every time I go out there!!

The key didn’t work initially. No big deal. But we wanted to use the jacuzzi in room 116 but it didn’t work. We were moved to 323 where it worked great but the hole process of packing your stuff and moving to another room in the middle of your stay did sit too well with me.

Came here for a 2-night stay. Not a bad room for the price, but could use a remodel. We choose the King Suite with a Jacuzzi. It is a very short walk to where you catch the Southern Wave Catamaran Sunset Cruise (highly recommend!!) at the Longboard Bar & Grill. Great place for drinks and music with a beautiful water view. Because of COVID they only had coffee available in the morning.

The hotel room was just what I wanted. Somewhat dated but large room and so convenient with a kitchenette. Handicap accessible. So convenient to all of the beach front bars and restaurants on Palm Blvd. I heard from others that stayed there also that the free breakfast was quite good.

The hotel was wonderful was a bit inconvenient that they were doing some remodeling on our floor. The breakfast could definitely get an upgrade. One of the keys didn't even work and the wifi was crap literally no signal. Staff was friendly location was convenient around restaurants. There was security on our parking lot I loved that. Ice machine didn't work on 3rd floor. No drink vending machines on the floors. Only one was were they serve breakfast and it was broken. Did charge a deposit when we already paid up front. We were not informed of that.

Great breakfast, beautiful pool, 30 second walk to bayside & 90 seconds to beach. It is a little bit older hotel so there are some musty smells, but the service we got was above & beyond the call of duty. We where fishing behind motel & our truck got REAL stuck in the mud at midnite. We had to leave truck & we where covered in mud. Nite desk unlocked pool so we could clean up before we headed back to our room. Next morning manager had the maintenance man work in the mud for 2 hours with hubby, unfortunately truck was still stuck. After numerous tow companies tried to take advantage ($300-$585) hotel recommended little garage down the street. For $150 the mechanics pulled us out with their 4x4 in under 6min. This fiasco lasted long past checkout & hotel held onto our belonging for us so mama could take kiddos to beach. This kindliness was priceless!!! They made the nightmare at the end of vacay not such a nightmare. Thank you Pam-manager, Allen-nite desk & Jorge-maintenance man of the year!!! Suggestions for a more comfortable stay would be chairs on balconies & dishes in the mini-kitchen.

Great place. My wife and I were very pleased with the jacuzzi room and the very nice, clean pool.

First, I would stay here again, it was a good deal. The price was very reasonable, and it was new, clean and quiet. Second, there was a large "Smart TV", but there was no Cable TV attachment. And this was very frustrating to me, Third, this room is described as a "Honeymoon Room - King Bed with Jacuzzi" or a "King Jacuzzi Suite". And the tub is very small, not large enough for 2, not Jacuzzi and not a Suite, But with all of that in mind, it was still a very reasonable price. And I highly recommend it.

It was wonderful! The rooms were great, comfortable and cozy. The restrooms are also very clean and spacious . The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. There is a great view of the strip off the balcony ( got the deluxe room with private balcony). There are plenty of restaurants and golf cart rentals near by and the beach is only a 7 minute walk! Overall, a wonderful place to stay and spend a lovely weekend! We will definitely be coming back and recommending this location to friends and family.

I really enjoyed my stay. The place was very clean, and the bathrooms were well-maintained, no hairy bathroom. The staff was prompt and attentive, quickly addressing any items needed. Overall, it was quiet, and everything functioned perfectly, from the TV to the refrigerator and microwave. The thermostat and air conditioning were outstanding, especially during this summer, hot weather. There were a couple of minor details to note, like needing to lift the handle of the entrance door to ensure it closes properly—if you forget to do this, the door may remain open from just a push. Additionally, the shower head was a bit loose, but it still worked well. The air vents were clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I appreciated the boards at the bottom of the beds, which prevent any items from being left behind. I also liked the tile flooring, as it’s far better than carpet. The seating area was a nice touch, complete with a breakfast table and chairs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Although, it’s not in the main path, there are plenty of amenities nearby, and good areas to explore that take just a minute or two to reach. The convenience of eateries and shopping is excellent, and the parking was also very good—well-lit with plenty of parking, in the back. I would definitely stay here again.

it was really clean and smelled clean too!! the location was perfect. parking was easy and you dont striggle to put your things up in the room. very spacious. the pool was perfect too and kept clean all around! definitely recommend for a vacation stay and for a decent price

Hot Jacuzzi and showers by the pool to rinse off after the beach. Staff at the bar/restaurant and at breakfast were the BEST! Best Breakfast I have ever had in a hotel.

Off season, this place is amazing. Super clean, with a gracious and professional staff. Very family oriented. Water pressure is great with hot water unending. Free breakfast every morning: including omelets made to order 😋 Pool, jacuzzi, and kiddo splash pad are clean. Beach is at your backdoor. Soft sand, clear water. Wonderful place

Found this place on bookings.com, had a great price and looked enticing so we booked a couple of days for relaxing and to get away. Did not expect such a great breakfast for free, much more than any hotel we've ever stayed at, the jacuzzi was nice and the swimming pool, the beach is right there, and the bar and grill. No reason to leave.

Beachfront , pool , bar at pool. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the shower provided. We were upgraded to beach view. Balcony had view of pool and beach. Breakfast waffles are good.

Great price and location considering the summer time is near. The staff was very helpful and polite (Michael in the front desk is always so professional and quick at check in and checking out making sure they were there for us if we needed anything ! He and the lady who answered my phone call the day before are Greatly appreciated and a great asset to the hotel!) I accidentally booked a smoking room which we didn’t intend to due to having our kids around. I did inform the staff & to our surprise it smelled SO clean when we walked in, couldn’t even tell so that was great! ❤️ The pool & jacuzzi was amazing, the AC worked great, we felt safe and it was a calm environment. We had a comfortable stay and we will book again 🙂

The bed was super comfortable. We were upgraded to a bottom room so my pregnant wife didn't have to climb the stairs. There was a little kitchenette in the room and the room was very spacious. And the shower had amazing water pressure.

Cleaning staff were excellent. Had to go to 2nd floor for ice and washer/ dryer- but both worked very well. Whirlpool is part of swimming pool and was very warm. Small though. Front office very cooperative. You do have to give them $100 cash which they hold until you check out. $20 a day per pet. You have to bring your own poop bags. We had a king w kitchenette which worked very well for the week since we had cabinets to put essentials in. Sofa sleeper which we just used as a couch. TV on the small side, but we weren't there to watch TV. Good location- easy walk to the beach. Blackbeards and Donkey restaurants within the block. Breakfast isn't good- just cereal, coffee, and makings for peanut butter/ jelly. There are toasters so you could bring items of your own to toast. We were there for the Indoor Kite festival which occurred over two evenings. Tickets had to be purchased in advance- they sell out pretty quick w the amount of winter Texans. Everything is closed by 9pm pretty much. Very quiet.

I was scared to stay here after reading the reviews, but my sister needed an affordable place that accepted dogs and had a refrigerator for medicine. We also needed to be centrally located for our excursions. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. We were able to check in early. The rooms were big, clean, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will come back again. This time we will pack kitchen supplies to take advantage of the stove top so we can make hot meals.

I loved how friendly the front desk people were. Very conversational and took care of us well. For the price, the rooms were comfortable and spacious. The fridge and microwave came handy for our 6 day stay. The cleaning ladies also did an amazing job on keeping our bathroom and room tidy. 5 stars all around.

Unit #409. Ocean front view was amazing! It was wonderful having coffee on the lanai watching the water and listening to the waves. Staff responded quickly to minor issues. Sonny's Beach Rentals had chairs and umbrellas set up on the beach upon request (for a fee). Ambiance lighting in every room was great when you're in such a large, unfamiliar space. The kitchen had all the basic necessities for cooking at home, except a rice maker (we brought ours along with a coffee grinder. Because whole bean coffee...). Separate carts are available for bringing up groceries or luggage. Overall, a great stay!

It was comfortable, clean and secure. The pool was very clean, the beach was amazing and the property is near the bridge.

The view was amazing! The access to the beach was simple for my son (8 years old), my parents (73 and 88 years) and aunt (70 years old). We all loved sitting out on the balcony in the mornings and evenings.

It had a really nice view of the beach , the beds are extremely comfortable, it had everything we needed it was also really clean .. even the shampoo and conditioner were nice lol!

I love how much space the rooms had. It was very convenient specially for the play pen for my 9 month old baby. It was very clean and the location was perfect. I liked the privacy we had and the backyard was great.
