The pool was fantastic very spacious, safe steps going into the pool lovely surrounding area, plenty beds but we were out of season. Only stayed overnight should have stayed longer didn't get a chance to go to the beach but they are beautiful great for sports The bedroom was lovely very spacious great view loved all the windows giving plenty of light. Only problem ws the jacuzzi bath didn't work was looking to it but unfortunately didn't work.

Very friendly helpful staff! For the price we thought it was good value. (The food seemed a bit pricey but we didn’t eat there apart from buffet breakfast). Nice breakfast, nice poolside bar. It was a few mins walk from the beach, and there’s a handful of other hotels bars and restaurants walkable nearby. We thought it was a good option if you want to stay a little way away from tarifa town (about a 10-15 min taxi)

breakfast was amazing, proper English breakfast! pool area so relaxed and 5 minute walk to the beach, amazing location ... staff were amazing and friendly too.

The apartment was close to the beach and had a pool. Parking was not a problem (beginning of July) It was walking distance to a grocery store, butcher, etc. You could also go to restaurants within walking distance. If you want to go into town, it is a 7' drive.

Lovely hotel. The decor is a tasteful mix of moorish and shabby chic. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast delicious; continental buffet plus hot items on request. Had a delicious 3 course meal in their delightful restaurant with a drink each, for 70Euro, good value for how good it was. All food ingredients are top quality here. One free drink from mini bar and welcome drink at bar was a very nice touch. Eco friendly and ecologically minded. Good for children, has big playroom next to restaurant. Secure car park underneath is 10 euro per night. 5 min walk from delightful Old Town, highly recommend Vaca Loca as best place to eat - amazing! I personally didn't like the foam mattress and pillow as both too hard for me and also got very hot in the night.

Amazing hotel to stay at, location was excellent - walking distance from the ferry terminal and to explore the town centre/restaurants/shops. I loved the ambience of the hotel and facilities offered. Breakfast was amazing, a huge variety of food ect. Room was fantastic, clean, modern and lovely view of the courtyard area. Restaurant and rooftop bar/pool amazing. I also enjoyed the Turkish Bath. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful.

Our family of 6 (2 teens, parents, grandparents) loved this hotel. The beds were very comfortable, everything is spotlessly clean, the room decor and lighting was all beautiful, the shampoo/soap/lotion provided was amazing, the rooms were quiet, the swimming pool was fun for our teens, and the breakfast buffet was incredible— huge selection of traditional, local, and familiar foods. We wished we could have spent more nights here. The only downside is that the room A/C automatically shut off when we weren’t in the room or weren’t active (sitting still for a long time), and we couldn’t figure out how to change that setting— but to be fair, we didn’t call to ask the front desk. If we stayed again we would call to ask for help with this. When the A/C was on, the room was very comfortable and cool. We were on the top floor which may also have made the temp warmer when the A/C wasn’t running. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for families or couples planning to take the ferry to Tangier for the day — it is a 5 minute walk to the port (literally… you can see the hotel from the exit to the port when you come back on the ferry). Would definitely stay again.

Lovely four day stay. Beautiful room. Good pool area and a relaxing spa. Breakfast was amazing and lasted us all day. Had dinner in the hotel one evening which was delicious. On site secure parking was a bonus. The only thing I felt was missing was the provision of individual spa products in the room and no bathrobes. There was a multi purpose liquid at the sink and shower, but this fell short of the quality products such as shower gel, shampoo, conditioner , body lotion, etc that we have come to expect in a spa hotel. There were complimentary soft drinks and a couple of beers in the mini bar and also a good selection of teas and coffee in the room . The hotel was a great base for travelling to Vejer, Medina Sedonia, Bolonia and the Roman ruins. Tarifa old town is a two minute walk. There are lots of tapas bars and take always but not so many full a la carte restaurants. However we did stumble on two, Petit Bistro and Loco Lobo, well worth a visit.

Front desk staff provided exceptional service, helping us with parking our rental car, answering all our questions in English and being genuinely warm and welcoming. The restaurant food was delicious and fresh with wonderful vegetables, particularly the eggplant. On top of this we had a free flamenco performance in which guitar, singer and dancer were all quite good. We went to Tangier, Morocco one day and our hotel packed us a “picnic” breakfast which was so generous we would have had enough food for the full day , not just the ferry ride. The hotel is a short walk from the ferry and was so convenient. The hotel rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfast buffet top notch—beautifully set out and generous. We would highly recommend The Spa and Residencia Puerto

Modern, spacious suite with a separate sitting and kitchenette area. The hotel doesn’t have a bar/restaurant, but there’s a separate restaurant open for breakfast from 09:00 thill late within the building that was very good. The hotel is at the far end of the town so be prepared for a walk to the restaurants and bars in the busy area.

The location attracted us,and having stayed, we found the staff so friendly,so welcoming & helpful. They made our stay so pleasant. It is so convenient to the beach & also to the restaurants & bars. We have no hesitation in recommending Playa de la Plata

The hotel itself was immaculate. José was exceptional as well as the in room service. We had a baby and they were so kind of set everything up with the bed and do it all for us. José even helped us upgrade to a Seaview which was amazing, the restaurant also beside the hotel was delicious. All the staff were amazing, helpful, and very respectful.

Everything! The hotel is new, well maintained, nice decor and amazing scent! The room is very big, clean and super with a nice shower and comfortable beds, nice view of the pool area with terrace! Pool area is so beautiful, relaxing and quiet. Parking and really good breakfast included! Staff is the best, very polite and friendly! It's my second time here and I would come back!

Lovely hotel , friendly staff. Very modern comfortable hotel , and exceptionally clean. It's located a 15 minute walk from the old town, very close to the beach. The room was a perfect size, very comfortable bed, and a great shower. Was nice to have a balcony too overlooking the pool. Breakfast was great too, very large choice.

We loved our stay here. It was a really good location, short walk to the beaches and beach bars, over the road you had convenient stores for anything you need, and a short walk into the main town. The room was superb, the breakfast buffet which also includes a breakfast menu was more than we expected! And the staff were super friendly, including the cleaners who nothing was too much trouble for! We would certainly stay here again!

We had a great room, spacious, nice view to the pool. The hotel is very well kept, clean and the staff is very attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. We also had breakfast at the hotel and it was really good! Overall great value for money!

The hotel has beautiful surrounding with lots of vegetation, pool and view to the hill. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Restaurant in the garden was delicious and very romantic.

The rooms were very cute, spacious, with comfortable beds. A/C is working fine. The food at the restaurant is quite tasty. On demand, coffee, orange juice, scrambled eggs or omelets at breakfast. The staff was mostly kind and accommodating. The swimming pool is great and occasional passing of ducks or peacocks adds a nice touch.

A very nice, family friendly hotel. We stayed there for 4 days and enjoyed our vacation there very much. A nice a clean swimming pool. there is also tennis court available. Fantastic garden where you can eat your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel looks like a little heaven, very peaceful, and very well maintained. The staff is also very kind, helpful and very professional. All in all, it was a perfect stay. I find it perfect for families. The room is very big and and the bathroom too.

The property was very well maintained, the pool area was lovely and the tennis court was a huge bonus. The restaurant was excellent - fantastic breakfast and delicious dinners. Staff were so helpful too, we really felt valued as clients

The room was clean and comfy. The outdoor areas at this hotel were beautiful - lots of outdoor seating couches on the hotel terrace and lots of lounging areas by the pool/restaurant in the garden. The person at the reception spoke good English and was very friendly. Free parking at the property. The restaurant was a bit pricier than normal in this area of Spain but the small meal we bought as a light dinner was delicious. The waitress also kindly accommodated our request for some olives (which were not on the menu) and let me borrow a set of cutlery to chop up some fruit for the next day in my hotel room. Breakfast was also delicious, especially sitting outside and enjoying the garden area.

Beautiful hotel, the grounds are stunning and lush! Really liked lounging in the garden and enjoying the sun by the pool. Staff were great, the lady doing dinner both nights we were there was lovely - shame I can’t remember her name (she had lovely long hair). Dinner menu is a bit limited and pricey but what we had was delicious! Breakfast was plentiful and also really delicious. The one thing I can say is that the location is a bit strange. We did not have a rental car so had to walk down to the beach which is quite dangerous as there is no pavement and the road is really busy. Unfortunately there is a lot of traffic noise in the garden but we still managed to relax. All in all a good experience and would stay there again.

The hotel pool and grounds were super. Lovely poolside restaurant. Super friendly staff. Excellent location to walk to the local beach where there were gorgeous sunsets. And a lovely beach bar.

This is one of the most beautifull hotels I have been the garden and the pool area is amazing very quiete and green its a place to go to if you want to chill be in nature and quite. Staff is very friendly and they let us be all day at the pool after Room is comfy beds are nice and also comfortable Can't wait to go back!

The gardens and pool were fabulous and the pool was extremely clean and well maintained. The food in the restaurant in the evening was first class and the breakfast was good too.

Location was by the main road but it was quiet in our room. There's a balcony with a nice scenery of the mountains. We saw raptors flying around whilst we were seating in our balcony and when we were in the poolside. Good location for birders. Room was clean and bed and pillows are comfortable. Free WiFi in the room was decent. The decor of the hotel was very good. Swimming pool was big and clean. Buffet breakfast has many selection. Staff are very friendly.

We loved our stay here. It's convenient to Tarifa but in the mountains surrounded by the Alcornocales National Park. The large rooms each have a private terrace overlooking the forest and distant mountains. There are two nice sitting rooms and a communal terrace with tables where we enjoyed morning coffee and croissants. The pool is lovely and nicely landscaped. The restaurant very good but a bit pricey. Free parking on site. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. This is such a restful, peaceful and quiet hotel which we recommend highly, even if you are a resident of Spain!

Beyond expectations: Truly beautiful, charming and spotless. Decor was gorgeous. We arrived later in the evening and were met with warmth and cheer. We received rooms on the first floor so we didn't have to take luggage upstairs. Dinner was served until 10 p.m. which was so helpful as we'd been traveling all day, and we didn't want to leave the hotel to find something so late. We did not want to navigate Tarifa at night, so this spot was perfect--super close but nestled in greenery in the hills. Don't let the road-side location deter you. Our rooms were quiet, lovely and the beds were excellent. We paid for breakfast, and it was huge: Warm bread, warm croissants, scrambled eggs, meat, cheese, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice and more. It was raining, so we didn't use the pool, but it was absolutely lovely and the large patio area was stunning. Do not hesitate to book this property; we were extremely lucky to find it. There is a lovely gift shop for guests, and the decor in the dining area and throughout was stunning--gorgeous wood-burning fireplaces, multiple sofa areas to gather, table and seating areas for cards and games, and the dining area was beautiful.

Very clean place, they pay attention to details, gorgeous interior design. If you want a very relaxing stay, here is the perfect place, far from the noisy towns, just nature and some beautifully designed interiors where you can stay and read or whatever you want to do. If you are an active traveller, it is also the perfect place if you came by car. The location is 10 minutes from Tarifa and less than 15 from Algeciras. You can easily get to ferries for Tangier or Ceuta or to Gibraltar. Good food in the restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner, open until 11 PM. They have a delicious sangria. Their greatest advantage is the high level of quality vs. price.
