Hotels with Jacuzzi in Room in Wellington

Our original plan was to find an urban spa, and the price was $650 per 90 mins for a couple. Needless to say more, with much less money we spent a whole night at Intercontinental, enjoying the private “pool”(jacuzzi), and breakfast included!

I have always had great experiences at this hotel from a long time ago in Dallas Texas. The hotel in Wellington NZ was no different. The receptionist, Katelin was awesome to handle our check in and putting us up in a fabulous room with the big Jacuzzi tub. She also enrolled me in IHG membership. Jeromy at the concierge desk was a delightful young man who welcomed us with a cheerful smile. He helped us with our dinner reservation. Everything was great!

The hotel is in a great central location. Our premium room had a nice view overlooking the harbour together with access to the Club Lounge. There was nothing particularly special about the room although we did find the bed quite comfortable (maybe too soft for some). The Club Lounge on the 7th floor had a very relaxed ambience and excellent staff. They served breakfast in the mornings which included a chef who would cook anything you fancied. They also served a very good afternoon tea which included a tiered selection of sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. And in the evenings it was a selection of canapés together with wine/cocktails. The hotel also featured a nice Spa area which included a heated indoor pool, jacuzzi and small sauna. The gym was pretty good too and featured lots of free weights. Highly recommended if you are planning a stay in Wellington, especially if you reserve a room with Club Lounge access.

I had a fantastic stay at the InterContinental Wellington. Decided to srat here before my flight to Christchurch. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional — warm, professional, and efficient. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable, with high-quality linens and all the amenities you'd expect from a five-star hotel. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, within walking distance to the waterfront, shopping, and some of Wellington’s best cafes and restaurants. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a wide selection of fresh, delicious options including barista-made coffee, pastries, and cooked-to-order hot dishes. The club lounge access is also well worth it if you’re after extra comfort and a quiet space to relax or work. Highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure stays — it truly delivers on luxury, convenience, and top-notch service.

The room was well appointed and clean, with a wonderful view of the harbor. The bed was comfortable. The location is a very short walk to the waterfront, restaurants, shops and local attractions. The valet parking was convenient. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed the bar area and pool.

Stayed here for 2 nights before travelling to the South Island via the nearby ferry terminal. A great appointed room facing the sea, large comfy bed, 2 reclining chairs, kitchenette which was well stocked,large jacuzzi bath,plenty of parking space and free WiFi. It is a short stroll to town and train station and the motel faces the beach. Overall a great place to stay and would stay again if in the area.

Our first day there was the day of the earthquake and rainy/cyclone weather. The sea was dirty and brown. However, the view from our room facing the sea was beautiful despite circumstances. The room/bed clean and well prepared. Coffee and stuff used for the bathroom/shower were well set/prepared. The location was not far from the shopping centres and the location of our family occasion. There were days that I wasn't expecting them to clean up the room because I didn't put out the "clean my room" sign, but I found new/fresh/clean towels/facetowels things that needs in the shower were topped-up; more packet of biscuits etc., etc., My wife forgot one shoe which was so "special" to her was found and return! The place was so quiet which was something that I appreciated because we really need peaceful & quiet. It was an awesome place to relax. Due to family occasion, we leave the motel nearly all through-out the day and come back very late. Yet we find ourselves enable to enter the doors. Our children get busy with the wedding and they leave our grand-kids with us, and it wasn't a problem to BKs Esplanade front desk staff. Thank you so much to the staff from cleaner to front desk. Your tasks are as important and thank you for making our stay a memorable one! We will certainly come back there. Thank you once again & God bless.

We booked one of the upstairs studio rooms and it was just beautiful. Extremely clean and spacious that gets great sunlight into the room with a fantastic view of the beach looking out to the harbour. Extremely clean bathroom and The spa bath is amazing! We couldn't be happier with our room. Big parking space at the back and Central to everything. 5min drive to the Hutt CBD or 8min drive to Wgtn CBD. We highly recommend and My Wife & I will be back! Very Friendly & helpful staff 😁

I stay here everytime I travel to Wellington for work. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable with amazing views. the staff are friendly and helpful, Big tv and comfy lazyboys.

Friendly staff and management. I lucked out getting a smokers room , but not motels fault as I should of asked ahead of time . Latest checkout time 10.30 am no extra charge. Comfortable beds, quiet, even though room was on traffic road , but it's a slow miles per hour road . Lovely large shower and very cosy rooms with everything you need . We will be back again . Convenient, close to motorway access, close to restaurants and shops, easy parking. Quiet and spacious with new and very comfy beds, black out curtains, little kitchenettes, new tvs with heaps of channels, and more refurbishment to come. Guest laundry - very handy. Very lovely staff.

The QT is our go to whenever we stay in Wellington. Perfect location close to Te Papa and an easy enough walk to Cuba Street or Lambton Quay. Beautiful art throughout the hotel, especially the lobby as well as the art displays on each floor. Our QT Deluxe King room was comfortable, with a comfy bed, table and chairs and a large bathroom, all well maintained even though it's probably time for a refresh soon. The room was huge but the space could be used much better - you could easily fit in a dresser for more storage space, a couch or a bigger area for chairs and table. Some hooks for towels in the bathroom would be helpful too (not just the one metal bar) plus more than three coat hangers in the wardrobes which felt a bit stingy. The aircon could also use updating - it works fine but best if you press the 'powerful' button, which is a bit unusual. The staff were great and helpful as always. Nice touch that they give you free drinks vouchers for the bar as you arrive, and the quirky minibar in each room are always a nice QT touch.

Location was excellent and beautiful art deco style throughout the motel were amazing. Great bar and restaurant downstairs. Staff at check in, breakfast and the lobby bar were very friendly.

Bed was super comfortable, the room had a bit of luxury to it, well stocked mini bar, bathroom was spacious and a lovely shower. Nice with the balcony too

Lovely hotel, let down by poor customer service. The hotel feels cosy and quirky, it’s in a great location near Te Papa, with beautiful views from the restaurant on level 3 out to Wellington harbour. I loved walking through the lobby and looking at all the art. We had a Superior King room, which was small but very nicely decorated, with a very comfy bed. What let us down was poor customer service. We had to ask for hand soap in our room (twice) - (I saw that my sister’s room had this and moisturiser - we did not ). We had to ask for our room to be serviced as they missed us. There was no explanation of how room servicing works - apparently you have to put the sign on the door. This was not obvious. There was no hotel information in our room and if it was available on the TV, we didn’t see it. We paid $25 each for continental breakfast at the restaurant. The yoghurt was empty and I asked them to refill it. They said they would but didn’t. So no yoghurt for me! On checkout I was told that they’d email me a copy of the invoice, which they didn’t. I emailed and asked for them to send it, which they haven’t. It’s not that hard to get these things right and make a guest’s stay that much better.

Nice sized room with kitchen / big bathroom and jacuzzi in Bath. Sky movies was good esp as weather was not good. Parking great and enjoyed stay. Close to airport the next morning.

Great friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms. Beds were comfortable and warm with nice pillows. There was a fan and extra heaters. The floor in our bathroom could also be heated. Kitchen was spacious and we had a balcony. Ceiling to floor curtains gave us good privacy while keeping the room warm on the very windy days. There is an elevator to help access the 2nd/3rd floors with ramps also. Shower was hot with good pressure. Very close to town, walking distance from most popular restaurants and convenience store. We walked to Te Papa very easily. Lots of E-bikes and scooters around.

This property was clean and tidy. Centrally located, it is close to Cuba Street and within walking distance to other popular Wellington sights. Beds were a little firm but fine for 3 nights. Linen was clean. Rooms fresh. Grout in bathroom was discoloured (as others mentioned) and could do with a whitening product, though the spa bath and shower worked very well with excellent pressure and everything was very clean. A mini kitchen was stocked with basic utensils, toaster & kettle, pots & elements mini fridge. All in all I feel I got very good value for money here and we will stay again the next time we visit Wellington. Check in and check out was easy. Parking outside was on a hill but we managed with a Highlander. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Property though dated was in a central location close to shops and restaurants with parking for cars if needed. Kitchen facilities were adequate for our 5 day stay, bed was comfortable and bathroom very clean. Service friendly and helpful. Edna

Spacious, clean, great heating, the room warmed up really quickly and stayed warm, super comfortable bed, great shower pressure and plenty of hot water, really friendly and helpful staff, would definitely recommend.

On arrival receptionist was very welcoming and smiling she warmed our room up for us, was very helpful on directions we wanted to know and also on what the Lodge has to offer etc ... very nice young lady. The Lodge is very close to our Business Conference, our room was spacious and warm comfy lounge chairs nice kitchen fully equipped, beautiful water pressure in the shower clean, serviced daily.

Really nice place to stay. Convenient location, not far from the town centre - only 15 mins across the bridge. At the same time it's very quiet - there are no busy roads around. Amazing service, stuff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Really comfortable bed. Good sized unit, with disabled access bathroom. Small kitchenette including microwave, fridge, and hob. Range of heaters and fans to choose from, and a ranchslider giving outdoor access for fresh air. An older style motel complex, but really well maintained, and spotlessly clean.

It was close to our son’s flat. It was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of off-street parking. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We came back for second stay, so that says something. It works for us at a large family level. What it needs is some extra attention. In the two weeks between visits the ensuite door remained broken with handle missing. Same with window in the bedroom window. The place needs a deep clean as there is left over building dirt and stuff next to vanity and in most margins. The bedrooms are missing night stand lamps, with front room missing a lamp all together. Street bedroom with loft has loose power points. Our early review said the unit had great potential. It still does… it just needs some attention. Need the owners/managers to treat it as a residence rather than a cash cow room. It would not last a day without complaint if it was subject to residential tribunal rules. We arrived late after a ferry delay. Kids were thrilled to be back and to some place familiar. It is a spacious apartment that we would stay at again. The upside benefits outweigh the downside issues. This was most likely an intercity 3 bedroom apartment converted to hotel inventory. Certainly liveable. Beds are very comfortable and linen is clean and fresh. Supplied continental breakfast was waiting for us on arrival in the fridge, more that enough fro us to eat and enjoy.

Shifting in our teenager to Massey University Halls so this was the perfect location. Central to dinning and shopping. Room was as we expected - comfortable and clean. Helpful staff.

Clean, comfortable, lots of space and right in the downtown area. Lots of restaurants near by. Really appreciated the breakfast foods in the room as we had an early morning start.

It was very cost friendly. I booked a budget room and it was as expected, so giving reduced stars because it looked budget is unfair. As expected it looked a little run down and in need of some maintenance, but it was more than fine for a night. It has an ensuite with a shower that was pleasant and a TV with free Wi-Fi. The bed was comfortable enough and it was so close to the Ferry which was booked for early morning which is convenient. There is off road parking at a cost, but it is not in a garage, it does take the car off the street though. There was good communication with the staff through email and phone calls and they were all helpful. The one issue was trying to determine where the reception was to find the drop box for after hours check in. The directions on how to get into it were thorough, but finding the box took at least 15 minutes. A bit more description as to where the reception is would be helpful as what was initially thought to be it, was not.

I booked a Budget SINGLE bed ROOM in the Lodge: The K/S bed was very comfortable, and the linen fresh & clean: Own bathroom was a huge PLUS, and it was very adequate. Great shower: A small fridge & electric jug was nice to have: Some basic cutlery would be helpful. Only one teaspoon provided: A bowl for cereal would be helpful: A glass & mug provided, but mug had chip on rim: The cleanliness of room and bathroom could be a lot better. I used many Anti-bacterial Wipes and I left both rooms far cleaner than I found them:

I read reviews before booking so upgraded to spa bath room as stated tired rooms. Large spa bath clean, great to relax at end of day. Wifi, TV, clean fridge, kettle all good. Comfortable bed, clean white sheets/towels. Staff lovely, offen asked me if I needed anything, , they held my bag before flights.

Happy with my stay and good value for money with carparking option. I was looking for somewhere inexpensive close to the CBD to stay for a couple of nights after driving down from Auckland to Wellington to take daughter to University. They have car parking on site (an extra $15 per night). Good location near the Wellington CBD. The front part of the lodge is an old building. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic weekend away. The initial walk upstairs to the room doesn't set the mood. But the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, room was big (twin room for my daughter and me), and the shower was hot and pressure was good. Be aware that reception may be unattended and you may need to phone when you arrive and get your key from a lock box. That's the only reason I marked the staff down - because I didn't really see them. It was perfect for what I wanted though. Good value for money even with the extra carpark charge. I'll happily stay there again when University finishes in November. I would probably choose something a bit more upmarket and expensive if my wife came on the trip though. But great location for University Halls moving.

We knew this wasn't going to be a super flash place. It is what it says it is, a safe and convenient place to stay at a reasonable price. The room was not super clean, but the bed sheets were. The car park is very tight, but we still managed to get our Toyota Estima in and out. I was surprised at how quiet it was. Would stay here again, but keep your expectations in check. This is convenient more than fabulous.

A balcony and also a private outdoor area by front door. Free parking. Great location with plenty of food places etc nearby. Supermarket down the road. Friendly, helpful staff. The fact i didn't have enough for a 200 dollar bond the luvly man at reception said he could do a 10 dollars hold fee i think its called instead so that helped us heaps. He was very friendly upon arrival an room was everything we needed an more. Bed was huge an very comfortable i wish we stayed 2 nights so i could sleep in. Didnt get to use spa bath but shower was amazing the pressure was on point. Netflix i did forgot to sign out of my account so to who ever was there after us your welcome haha. Pretty much straight across from wellington hospital were our mother was so yea everything just amazing.

Located directly across from Wellington Hospital which made it ideal for me to stay close to my sick father. Room types to suit your needs. We stayed in a Studio room for 2x nights. Good room rate and had everything we needed; kitchenette, hot shower, balcony, comfy kingsize bed and pillows. Cozy room. Would recommend to family and friends and would stay again.

Let me begin with: This is my first experience traveling outside of the United States and am learning as I go and having fun doing so. I stayed in a ground floor suite and loved every minute of it. The bed was comfortable, there was a full couch, table with chairs, kitchenette (with cookware, dishes, utensils, and supplies to wash them), and walk-in shower with spa tub. Had I asked the gentleman at the desk, I would have discovered how to work the oven. Let me make this clear...if you are having any issues with your room, or something is not working...CALL THE FRONT DESK. The staff are more than happy to help. For people not accustomed to energy saving methods of other countries, New Zealand has toggle switches for every power outlet I have seen, and for large draw appliances. Once you get used to it, the feature can become quite appreciated. The air conditioner was incredibly silent and came with a remote control. The T.V. was of appropriate room size and came with 10 local channels; perfect for getting the lay of the land, although I watched the sports channel most of the time. Not only am I recommending this site to my friends and family, I am planning on returning to Newlands Court Motel for any breaks from University I may need.

It is some time since we have stayed at Newlands Court so we were not sure what to expect. Since the major refurbishment, this place is amazing. Our studio unit had a big bed, full kitchen, luxury bathroom, dining table, TV etc. Heaps of room, amazingly quiet. Lovely welcome. Heaps of parking, Pet friendly and dog walking area. Children's playground. And a cafe! We were seriously impressed, especially given that the prices are very reasonable. If the other refurbished rooms are up to this standard, then wow, seriously WOW. We will be back on our next trip to Wellington.

Traveling with 3 children has its own challenges, so having a friendly face from check-in to check out and there to help throughout the stay was a breath of fresh air. Exceptional customer service! Our room was two bedrooms with a TV in each, with sky TV so both age groups were entertained so I could have a break in between travel. The kitchenette had everything we needed, and as well as having a shower and toilet downstairs, there was a large and well maintained spa bath with excellent water pressure, unlike others we have stayed at where it takes half the night to fill. The older kids loved sitting on the BBQ table outside in the evening overlooking the lit up motorway, which, surprisingly, although close, didn't create any noise in our room. Overall, we had a great stay, no complaints, and would definitely stay again.

We were in town for a concert at sky stadium and the lovely receptionist told us that we could catch the bus to town as there was a handy bus stop right across the road. She told us which 3 buses stopped there and how to find the routes online. The upstairs room we booked was spacious, comfortable and very clean with a pretty view from the deck. The room was so quiet despite being so close to the motorway, and having people staying in the neighbouring rooms. The cleaners were super friendly too. Everyone was smiling and it was a pleasure to stay at Capital Lodge Motor Inn.

The location was very convenient, staff were warm and welcoming, they were super helpful when we needed anything. The room was spacious for a family of four and kids loved having their own space upstairs. The shower had good pressure.

Stayed for 4 nights over the New Year period. We had a Baker Street room at the back of the hotel. Pros: Excellent location close to restaurants, bars and interesting vintage shops. An easy walk to main city area, waterfront, museum, and to the bus stop for transport to/from the airport. Great friendly staff; enjoyed the croissants for breakfast; nice bar (though unfortunately it was closed after the first night) and foyer area. Very comfortable bed with nice linen sheets; quiet room; suitcase rack and space to hang things; delicious free nibbles in room plus tea/coffee and water in the hall. Cons: Quite a dark room with one window and dark paint so you need to turn the lights on most of the time. Shower curtain is too short so the floor area gets wet. Platform for the bed takes up too much space in a smallish room and we both banged our shins on it. Only one chair to sit in (that squeaked loudly!) Overall a good hotel with location being the best feature. Note that many bars and restaurants were closed over the New Year period for 1-2 weeks which seems odd during the holiday time.

Spacious and cool room design, liked the separate toilet room and shower with two sinks- nice for couples! Great central location to all the restaurants. Very convenient shared water and coffee station just outside room with well stocked and tasty, complimentary snacks in room with coffee mugs, plates and silverware. Complimentary breakfast. Very hip and eclectic vibes. Popular wine bar on first floor.

This is a small boutique hotel adjacent to Cuba st in Te Aro. This area is a hive of restaurants and bars and so very convenient. It is also close walking distance to the Wellington CBD and Oriental Bay. There are also e-scooters for hire around the town so easy to use them for commutes if you don’t want to walk. I found this Te Aro area to be a better location to stay than Oriental Bay. The Bay, whilst lovely on a beautiful sunny day, only has very few cafes and so surprisingly doesn’t have the food and bar options one would expect of a capital city bay. Wellington is also renowned to be the windiest city in the world and so living on the bay can be less pleasant than it might sound. The hotel itself is small and intimate with a laundry facilities which was a really nice surprise. Reception is not 24 hours but I didn’t require it. There is no restaurant on site so breakfast was coffee and croissants only. However this wasn’t a problem as there are so many breakfast cafes nearby. The Puffin bar in the lobby is supposed to be very popular but was closed for the public NY holiday when I was there. Would definitely be happy to stay here again

From start to finish this was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had, and I have had a lot. Very welcoming reception staff. The room was perfect for a solo traveller but plenty big enough for a couple. Bed was super comfee. Great lighting . The shower was fab and there was a toothbrush, razor, and sewing kit for emergencies. Pillow turn down and Freddo frogs greeted me on returning after dinner !!😍There is a drinks station on every floor with sparkling water tap, coffee and tea There is complimentary breakfast downstairs every morning. Puffin wine bar is on the ground floor. Very cool vibe, great wine by the glass , a real local hangout. The location is amazing. A few steps to Cuba Street where you will find fantastic shops, bars and cafes , and a short walk to all the main attractions. There is nothing to fault about this Hotel, it is wonderful.

Great styling through the hotel - reception, lobby, bar and rooms. Incredibly spacious and comfortable rooms. Thoughtful little extras - weather card for next day left at turn down, complimentary drinks and snacks, pastries and coffee in the morning. Very friendly helpful staff. Awesome wine bar. Perfect location -just off Cuba Street and close to everything in the city centre.

Great location, very central. Comfortable. Clean. Spacious. Each room had its own modern and clean washer and dryer which was so useful. Bed was really comfortable (and had a sheet, not just a quilt which was uncommon across our NZ trip). Little kitchenette was great size, clean, useful. Temperature control. Black out curtains.

Our room was spacious and comfortable with full kitchen facilities including dishwasher and coffee machine. Our bathroom included a washing machine and clothes dryer which would be perfect for an extended holiday. Nice to have a lounge and dinning area, this made our stay very relaxing. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful and our room was very clean and the presentation was excellent.

Quest 256 Lambton was pretty much faultless. The staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient. The apartment was a comfortable size and spotlessly clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The appliances all worked and included everything we needed. Perfectly located in the centre of Wellington it was nonetheless quiet. We felt completely comfortable and safe

The Quest on Lambton was the perfect choice for our first-time 5-day stay in Wellington. From the airport, we jumped on the #8 bus (you will need NZ dollars obtained from the Bank ATM at the airport; (it's not a "rip off" ATM that adds extra fees). Get off the bus on Lambton, and the Quest is 15 steps from the bus stop. You don't even need to cross the street. Head up the elevator to the 4th floor and you'll be greeted by friendly, professional staff. Our room, on the 7th floor, was a typically sized hotel room, but designed for maximum functionality. Small kitchen area but FULLY equipped. Bathroom very modern. Combo washer/dryer in bathroom SO convenient. Bed very comfortable, great lighting, excellent wi-fi speed. Everything new, modern and SPOTLESSLY clean. Needless to say, terrific location right in the heart of Wellington's CBD. And FYI, if your heading to Christchurch, check out the Quest on Cambridge. We stayed there as well and were just as pleased (see my review) In short, a great property at a great price. Nope, I don't work for Quest and nobody paid me to write this review! One more tip: Check out the Spark telecommunications kiosk at the airport after you go through passport control. A 10 gig SIM card with unlimited local texts and calling was only 20 USD and worked perfectly, and it included min for international calling. You can surf the web till the cows come home!

Contrary to our less than desirable stay at the Quest Rotorua and Glen Tasker’s (manager) boiler plate response, the Quest 256 Lambton was such a refreshing treat. So, clearly my expectations were indeed “aligned”, Glen. Modern, clean, comfortable and since the property itself is housed commencing on the 4th floor (reception) and l believe advance to the 8th, the room was very quiet. We were on the 6th floor. It looks like a relatively new refurbishment w/state of the art equipment and streaming services. Khao (reception) provided an inviting and welcoming greeting and was quick to address and resolve an issue we had in the room. The highest of accolades to Khao for his leadership. The location was perfect. A stones throw from restaurants, the Wellington cable car which takes you directly to the Botanical Gardens, shopping and restaurants. Expectations were clearly met with this property and I would recommend without reservations.

A very pleasant 3-day stay at Quest on Thorndon for the first time. The location is very convenient with Wellington Railway Station and the main bus terminal less than 10 mins walking distance. The studio room is spacious even with a double couch and very well equipped and maintained. Clean, modern and comfortable. The Toshiba air con runs smoothly and quietly. The bathroom’s ventilation system is not as loud as other hotels’ in Wellington. The TV offers great range of free movies. The mini bar is packed with coffee, hot chocolate and tea bags. Mini cookies and Nespreso are good choices too. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The only issue is that my iPhone 14 Pro couldn’t scan the TV for screen mirroring. Overall I highly recommend Quest on Thorndon.

We stayed in Wellington for 2 days and for us accommodation was perfect. Walking distance to most places of interest and restaurants, close to the ferry terminal we were living from, quiet. Very comfortable and clean inside. Very helpful and friendly staff. I couldn't wish for anything better.

We were very impressed with this property. Assume that the majority of the guests are staying on business as facilities are designed to provide everything one needs to keep smart and relax. Superb washing machine and dryer in large bathroom. Perfect and well equipped kitchenette, comfortable seating and large TV. Panoramic window makes room look even more spacious. Guy in reception couldn't have been more friendly and helpful even after we lost our key card twice!

A very lovely hotel. Very clean, attentive staff, great kitchenette, bathroom and comfy bed. I would come back to this hotel in a heart beat. It’s also very near the ferry port so not too much driving in town to get to the hotel. Again…. It is very comfortable, clean, efficient and near to everything. Thanks to them for providing such nice accommodations in a busy town.

We booked the Quest Thorndon as we were booked to go on the ferry to Picton. The location is superb and just perfect for that. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and the bed was comfy and quiet. When we opened the curtains the next morning we were overlooking the marae which was a lovely site and very unexpected. Also there was parking just under the marae and that was perfect for us and our car (which was packed). Highly recommended and we would stay there again.

August 2023 - One night stay for Fifa 23 and then next day Interislander ferry. Exceeded expectations. Lodge was very easy to find. Room was large, full kitchen with seating, small but efficient bath with shower and separate tub, balcony with seating, secure keycard entry, and plenty of free parking. We were just looking for an overnight stay, next time in New Zealand will stay longer. Nice little suburb of Wellington, walking distance to restaurants, beach, and shops. Drive to ferry port was 15 minutes on Saturday morning and easy 'straight shot' into city of Wellington. Lodge provided plenty of local info and had very nice bath and kitchen self -catering amenities, and was very clean and well maintained. The area was residential, so there was very little street noise at night. Very comfortable stay and pleased to recommend the Ava Lodge.

Being situated in Petone this lodge offers an excellent location whether you're spending your time in the Hutt Valley or Wellington City. Clean, quiet, air conditioned, comfortable room with more than enough amenities for however long you choose to stay. Well equipped kitchenette if you ever want to stay in and prepare your own meals. Small but pleasant balcony for fresh air. Lovely bathroom. I loved the big shower space! Excellent service. They were quick to let me know that I'd left a couple of items behind. Highly recommended.

A well equipped clean, comfortable accommodation with helpful & friendly host, conveniently located not only for shops, beach & immediate coast line, it was also great for exploring Wellington with easy access to trains & buses to the city 20 minutes away. It was a quiet position but close enough to the hustle & bustle of city.

Lovely well equipped room, everything you would need, loved the artwork as well. Great appliances and full sized fridge/freezer in our room. Fantastic staff, very helpful and security conscious. Nice sized balcony with table and chairs. Our rooms dining area was great for us to play cards and have a couple of drinks. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with a fantastic sized shower, lighted mirror and heated towel rail. Double glazing meant the room was quiet. Complimentary breakfast was a lovely addition, toast, cereal, tea, coffee and juices made our mornings easy, seating is limited but heaps of time to get in and eat. Central city location meant we were close to New World, shopping, restaurants and waterfront walks, a block away from Te Papa Would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Was surprised how nice the room and hotel was for the price, a great deal. Great art-deco vibes, comfortable and clean room, updated fixtures in the bathroom. Staff were helpful, included breakfast and coffee was delicious. Location is very much downtown, which includes the usual tradeoffs: some unhoused folks and party people, but easy access to transit, activities, museums, and great restaurants. The Dragons Restaurant right next door was fantastic!

4 x night stay with a very late check in however the instructions provided to access the room made it easy. Very comfortable and well appointed room with washing machine and dryer (and washing liquid!) The view from level 2 was over a large ground level street car park but this didn’t matter as we were not in the room for very long. Perfectly placed location with a walk to almost any location in Wellington City. Quiet and comfortable - with the only suggestion being for a firmer bed but it was still nice to sleep on. Breakfast downstairs of tea/coffee/ toast/ fruits and yogurt was perfect. We will be back.

The lovely man that helped me and my partner at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful and our room was just perfect especially the comfy as bed 😘🤌 and the amazing big shower with 2 different shower heads like okkaayy 🥵 we didn't want to get out hehe 😁 and just all in all loved we were so close to town, WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK CHEERS! ❤️✨️

Beautiful, stylish rooms which were well maintained, incredibly comfortable and clean. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! The breakfast was lovely for a free breakfast, with lots of options and a wonderful coffee machine.

Lady at reception was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room were great, nice and clean. Warm and had a good little kitchenette we could could our own dinner. decent size fridge and freezer. Small things to some but loved the fact it had a decent coffee jar instead of a few sachets. Great sized bathroom, shower has amazing pressure Everything was clean and tidy and I felt it was great value for money. Great location, close to supermarket and hospital. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again when we are back for check ups.

Had a three night stay for an event in Lower Hutt. 2 adults and 1 teenager. Extremely friendly welcome on arrival. The unit was a good size, super clean with lovely extra touches in the bathroom in the way of cosmetics etc. super comfy beds and soft sheets. Great internet, all the Sky TV channels and the heating in the room was instant. We found the location to be perfect for us and really quiet. Will definitely be back for the same event next year.

Loved the friendly reception when checking in. Lovely clean, spacious studio unit with full kitchen facilities, central to where I was going for a meeting. Beautiful, everything central to town. I will stay here again. Value for money.

I enjoyed my 4nights stay at Sojourn, Riddiford! The Hotel is situated straight across the road from Wgtn Hospital in Newtown, bus stops within 1min & supermarkets within metres walking distance, as well as kebab shops, macdonalds, etc… The public transport was extra convenient! I left my car home to travel by train & bus all the way from Wairarapa to Newtown. My partner came to stay on my last night & brought my car in. I was able to book a carpark at the hotel, through the hotel, on that day. Convenient! My room was ultra-clean & spotless!! My room had a kitchenette & it had all the appliances I needed to cook. Awesome!! Dishwasher, microwave, stovetop A++. The shower was big & the toilet spotless! The bed was extra comfy! I didn’t need to utilise the heat-pump because i was warm in the bed. I could sit on the windowsill to view outside looking at the hospital, buses coming & going, cars going past, pedestrians walking around or on scooters/bikes… great view!! Even laundry facilities available on each floor :) Convenient!! Had an Awesome Hotel Receptionist!! Very helpful & understanding & welcoming!! I loved it there & I would come back again!!

The rooms were small but clean, tidy and comfortable, ideal for us as we were there to watch the All Blacks play France, so were not in the room for long, just to change and sleep and shower. The beds were comfortable and shower had good pressure and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. This motel would be convenient if you needed a long stay next to the hospital as it is basically across the road, it is very quiet, no road noise. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

From booking the accommodation to the moment you walk in, everything was professional and a breeze. The staff are absolutely amazing. Helpful, accommodating and friendly. The room was pure bliss. Extremely comfortable and clean. It had everything that was required and more including a coffee pod machine. I love the decor, it's aesthetic, clean and has a calming effect. I highly recommend staying here. The location is great, only a few minutes drive into the CBD, there's a Woolworths walking distance and some nice place to eat close by.

It’s walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and on the main bus route to the city. Beautiful, clean and comfortable bed. Very clean. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Wellington.

Everything was great -- our room was very comfy, spacious and clean -- it has a small kitchenette and a huge bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well! The location is very convenient, just a few steps away from the bus stop, several restaurants/cafés and the hospital! definitely recommended

This hotel is fabulous. I had known it had great reviews BUT it exceeded my expectations. The staff are incredibly professional, the location is fantastic, the beds and pillows super comfortable. We stayed in the Bolton Suite as our daughter in her 20s travelled with us. The suite was perfect for us as 3 adults. The valet parking was easy and we had breakfast which was although not a large spread was perfectly cooked and suited us very well. I've travelled for work a bit and this time was a holiday but I would say this would have to be one of the very best accommodations I've ever stayed in. It was soundproof and very quiet (which later stays in our trip we we realised just how quiet the Bolton was). But I particularly want to call out the standard of cleaning. This place is spotless. Absolutely spotless. We were in one day when the young lad came to clean our room and we asked if he would mind if we were there (as we needed to put our feet up). He was lovely BUT I was astounded at just what depth of cleaning he did in the middle of our 3 night stay. This wasnt just a wipeover.. it was what I'd call a deep clean. No wonder the place is spotless. I would absolutely have no hesitation in staying there again... everything about our stay was perfect.

The whole experience was brilliant, we arrived late in the evening our bags were taken up to our room so we could enjoy a drink and a beautiful meal in the restaurant. It was my birthday so the restaurant staff brought out a special plate with candles and happy birthday 😊 The room was lovely, the location was fabulous, right next to a historic must see site and a stones throw from Parliament. There were some really interesting details in the hotel, history of the name Bolton etc and these wonderful complimentary manuka extract (teatree) body lotions exclusively made for the Bolton Hotel that I have been enjoying since we visited. Staff were amazing Restaurant was amazing (including the Buffet breakfast) Room was amazing Location was amazing Star quality 🌟

The Bolton was absolutely lovely! The room was very well appointed. The staff were courteous and attentive, even though my husband and I were travel-worn. We enjoyed a dinner in the restaurant. The staff were delightful, and the food was amazing! The steak was particularly delicious. We also had a lovely quick breakfast and coffee at the front door cafe. The location is great - Uber drivers and your companies were instantly familiar with the building. There is a lovely historic cemetery and church across the street. Be warned, many of the coffee, shops, and restaurants seem to be "weekday only", though I'm sure the Bolton staff can point you in the right direction, and you can't go wrong at the in house eateries.

The Bolton is a central, exceptionally well run hotel. The staff at the Bolton are friendly. welcoming and responsive - immediately fixing an issue we had with the television in the room. Great facilities with good size, deep pool, spa, sauna and small but well equipped gym. Rooms spacious, good kitchen facilities, very comfy bed, quiet air con, toiletries that actually smell good ( not like some unisex dishwash) Restaurant service friendly, and varied room service menu that appealed to all ages. Really great!

Very clean and spacious room. Suitable for our adult family of 3 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms together with a lounge and kitchen area. Kitchen well equipped with dish drawer and full-sized refrigerator. Spacious main bathroom with separate shower and bath. Room service dinner was tasty, and breakfast was great in the restaurant. Close to the Gardens and Zealandia, at the Parliament end of town. Loved our stay and would stay again.

Room was clean and comfortable. View was nice considering the hotel was in the airport and wasn't noisy. Bed was very comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant/bar was very good. Reception and bar/wait staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a 6 o'clock flight in the morning so it was very convenient to be able just to walk from inside the hotel to the airport terminal to check in.

The Rydges was amazing! The staff were so welcoming and very accomodating as we brung our baby and son along. The buffet breakfast available every morning was not only delicious but very convenient. This place is a must-stay. Great location, not far from town and easy access to essential areas. Thank you so much for having us. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Superb hotel, highly recommend! It was so easy to get to, right in the airport, with great signage. It was modern, clean and comfortable. The room was so quiet, slept really well here. It has a great restaurant and bar too. Staff were brilliant. I have literally nothing bad to say, loved it here.

Had an amazingly chilled and comfy time at Rydges before my international flight. Room was amazing with a great view of the runway, which was fun to watch. Also had amazing meals at the hotel restaurant. Would defiantly stay there again for either a night away for before a flight out of the airport.

The twin room was lovely, clean and so quiet. Being situated right in the airport it was convenient for our early flight the next morning. We had a lovely dinner at the hotels restaurant which was enjoyed by all. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Loved the washing machine/dryer, dishwasher and iron, although we didn't use them. Did use the hair dryer, though. Loved the spaciousness of the room and bathroom (we had a wheelchair friendly room, but didnt actually need it but loved the space). Lovely big wardrobe. Loved the heated towel rail and mirror. Loved the comfortable beds, quiet rooms and free wifi. It had everything we needed and more. Amazing value for money.

Being from the U.S. I rely on reviews to help me determine hotels and restaurants. This Ramada in Wellington is a great choice. Location is ideal for walking to restaurants, grocery stores, and the harbor and Te Papa Museum (absolutely fabulous by the way). The King suite had comfortable bed and bedding. We were on the third floor and it was very quiet though right in the center of town. Minimal accent chairs to watch TV, but still comfortable since we also had table chairs to sit on. The mini-kitchen provided more than most with dishes/pans/glasses/utensils and more; a fridge, plus a dishwasher. We ate in for breakfast usually. Also a washer and dryer! This gave the most I've experienced for the dollars spent. Though not upscale with restaurants and bars within the hotel, we didn't care about that anyway. Too much to experience all around us in Wellington. Such a beautiful city!

Great quiet location, which was surprising as it seems to be right by a university area - but this led to lots of great food options. Hotel itself was modern, clean, great value for money! Washer and dryer in the room as well as kitchenette. Parking price a bit steep, but convenient and reception did offer other cheaper options off site you could use. Bed super comfy as well.

I recently stayed at Hotel Ramada in New Zealand and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with excellent facilities. The staff were friendly and professional, making my stay smooth and enjoyable.
