Lovely two day stay out of season. Great staff and we were given a luxury suite for the same price as the club room we had reserved. Very quiet location and beautiful grounds. Hotel does lovely continental style breakfast. Doesn't do dinner but nice places to eat at a short driving distance and Rouen is only 20mins in the car.

Absolutely everything from start to finish was perfect, including before we arrived with excellent communication from the staff who were helpful, friendly and responsive. The facilities and in particular the spa and pool were gorgeous, and the couples massage I booked as a Valentine's gift for my husband was perfect. Our room overlooked a town square and we could hardly believe how lucky we were to get such a beautiful view. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. We loved the tour we got as we were shown to our room by the friendly and helpful reception staff. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and shower were lovely. We only had the breakfast there so can't comment on the food at the restaurant but the buffet was fresh, plentiful and had something for everyone. Absolutely spoiled for choice with very high-quality food on offer. The hotel is in the heart of Rouen which made it perfect for going out to eat at the many fantastic restaurants around the corner. The parking was not cheap at £27 per day, but to be expected for valet parking which made everything so easy. We both had a great stay which exceeded our expectations, and we would 100% recommend going there.

The hotel is nice and located in a very Convenient center city location. The front desk staff was very professional and friendly. However, the staff in the lobby bar (bartender, main waitress, and two others, waitresses,) during a champagne and music presentation did not seem to be as caring and friendly toward my wife and me. Perhaps because we’re not fluent in French they seem to be giggling,whispering and commenting about us, Other than that, I recommend a hotel for its cleanliness spacious room proximity the shops and restaurants used their valet service for car parkinh it was efficient, and the gentleman in charge of our car was very professional and friendly.

Swimming pool is the best we've had at any hotel in France so far, large enough to swim laps; and the rest of the spa facilities were also very good. Central lively location is perfect, a short walk from the train station, the open market, cafes and restaurants, etc., and yet quiet and peaceful inside. The building is a jewel, and the common areas of the hotel are elegant and well maintained. Staff are welcoming, helpful, and efficient.

Set within a 15th-century building in the heart of the historical city center, this hotel is truly remarkable. The property blends historic charm with modern comforts, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the spa facilities offer a luxurious, relaxing experience.

Nicely positioned hotel, easy walk into historic centre of Rouen. Clean, well managed and smart decoration of the hotel and room. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and polite. We appreciated their help booking a table at a local restaurant for an evening meal. Good buffet breakfast.

Best Western Plus Hotel de Dieppe 1880 is located right outside Rouen Rive Droit main line railway station. It takes just two minutes from getting off the train to reach reception. The hotel is a characterful building complete with a central staircase surrounding a period lift. My room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and had an excellent walk in shower. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was very powerful - a real asset with temperatures in the late 30s. I also received a room in the exact part of the hotel that I requested avoiding the front as I thought that might be a bit noisy. My room benefitted from good soundproofing. Therefore, I slept well and was refreshed for the day ahead. Nearby, there are several small restaurants and bars including an excellent Vietnamese café / restaurant in the street immediately behind the hotel. This provided a good inexpensive meal. This was my second visit to Hotel de Dieppe 1880 and, like last time, I enjoyed it.

We ate dinner in the restaurant, the food and drinks were exceptional and staff were friendly and helpful, it was a lovely experience. We had the fillet boef au whiskey and a very ample cheeseboard. The views from the bedroom window were picturesque out the back. I can't fault anything. We will definately staying here again on our next trip. I highly recommend.

Located in a quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of Rouen, the hotel sits in beautiful grounds with car parking on the property. I got a warm welcome from the staff when an arrived. They were friendly and interested in helping me. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. A nice size bathroom with a bath with shower. The breakfast was included in the price and there was a great selection on offer. There is a Bar & Restaurant at the hotel . I didn’t use either but both looked enticing. I would stay again when I next visit Rouen. I was just passing through on this visit.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and up to date. The staff were very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The two options for dining (bar and restaurant) offered a good variety at reasonable prices. We are in the restaurant and we’re very pleased with the food and the reasonably priced wine list. The situation is calm and quiet but still vey handy for Rouen.

Perfect location 5 mins from motorway but has a quaint village feel. Staff are exceptional really friendly and helpful. The elevator took us most of the way up but there were a few stairs to navigate. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had air conditioning, hair dryer, coffee pot, clothes iron, all the things. The shower was excellent and the bathroom itself was very large. The bed was comfortable too. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not eat breakfast here before we left. The hotel is central to everything and Rouen is fabulous. We wished we stayed there longer. The best adventure was parking in the parking garage. Prepare yourself! They give you a code to enter on a blocked-off roadway - the pole in the middle of the roadway goes down into the ground, and you drive over it onto what honestly looks like a sidewalk. You navigate through windy spaces like this, past people eating outdoors in restaurants and walking about, and then come to an underground parking garage. It's tight! If you have a large vehicle and/or are not a good driver, you're in trouble. It was an adventure for sure!!

The hotel is very centrally located, and it is in the middle of everythingin the old town. The reception and the staff are very friendly. The hotel smells clean and wonderful, quiet and very minimalist. It has a water station in the lobby, with bottles all the guests can re-fill and bring to their room. In addition, I like that the keycard is made of wood, true to its sustainability initiatives. The room is clean, with enough space for a wide open luggage. There are the usual coffee and tea making facilities. The pillows were fluffy, and the sheets smooth so I had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was wonderful! There were a variety of local breads, plenty of fruit choices, nuts, cereals, cheeses and sausages. It is quickly replenished by the staff, and the buffet area is kept nice and clean. Being a non-French speaker, it is helpful that the staff at the hotel are good English speakers.

Amazing location in the centre of Rouen's historical centre. On site car park at a fee but worth paying for the conveniance. Room was comfortable, huge bed, nice shower etc. Most staff were very nice. The women on reception were friendly and helpful and gave advice about restaurants etc.Bar man was also friendly.Rouen is a fascinating and beautiful historic city. We were lucky enough to catch the animations on the front of the cathedral a couple of evenings.They were amazing.

Just lovely, location was perfect, room very clean and comfortable, bed extremely comfortable. We enjoyed hearing the cathedral bells!! Breakfast SUPERB and presented amazingly, evening meals were incredible. We tried and few dishes helped by the most attentive, friendly, professional waiter I have ever met. Every attention to detail was met and even brought out our some extra cheeses on our cheese board for us to try. Our French unfortunately is weak,but learning and he was also fantastic at helping us with that. We loved it so much we have decided to return for the Christmas market with our children in tow this time, thank you very much for such a lovely stay. Looking forward to staying again in December.

The hotel was in a perfect location to explore old Rouen. There are loads of restaurants, museums, and sights to see within walking distance of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was big, modern and stylish. It had lots of useful amenities like a fridge, fan, hairdryer. The bathroom and shower were big and clean with toiletries provided. The bed was large and comfortable and the room was nice and quiet. The location was good and central, easy walking distance of bars, shops etc.

We stayed at Hotel De Quebec in Rouen from July 7th to 10th, 2025, and we were thoroughly satisfied with the hospitality and comfort the hotel offered. Our room was clean, bright, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with local information and great recommendations for food and sights. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of Rouen’s historic center, shopping streets, and major landmarks like the Cathedral and the famous Gros-Horloge. The atmosphere of the hotel was warm and relaxed, and we felt truly at home. It’s an ideal choice for anyone looking to explore the beautiful city of Rouen while enjoying a quiet, well-kept hotel with kind service. We would definitely recommend it and would gladly stay again on our next visit to the city!

It was August in France so we really appreciated that the room came with air con and a standing modern fan (I am asthmatic so air con can agitate me). The rooms are clean and modern. As you exit the hotel to the right is an area full of lots of different restaurants and it’s got a nice, cool vibe. There were two young women who worked there who were lovely and helpful (one on reception from check in time and one fashion student in the morning for breakfast). The site parking is 16€ a day and we were happy to hide the car off road because Rouen is a maze of single lane, one way streets that people are driving the wrong way on (road works blocking a main road)

Nice and quiet despite the bar underneath so well sound proofed and was quiet after closing.

We stayed at the hotel on the way back to Dieppe (approx 45 mins drive). Whilst on the outside it looks a bit 1970's, inside it's more modern & has a lovely garden. The room was large & comfortable with a large terrace overlooking the garden. We ate in the restaurant (on the terrace) which was excellent. The food was typically French, tasty & very good value for money. The breakfast was good too. We'd recommend this place & would definitely stay there again if we're sailing from Dieppe or other ports in that area.

A very convenient location - very close to the city centre where most important attractions are situated. It's also about 100 meters from the Old Market of Rouen which is not only a famous historical place but where you can find a supermarket, lots of bars and restaurants and a convenient car parking. Our rooms where very nice, with antic elements, which was charming. The staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast - ok, usual hotel breakfast.

It’s quite quirky but clean and very comfortable. Getting in at night when the owner/concierge was not in the property was easy. Breakfast was delicious. We had delicious yoghurt, a good supply of croissants and baguette and no annoying little pots of jam. The jam with the breakfast looked homemade and was plentiful as was the butter. The coffee was plentiful, hot and strong however my hot chocolate could have been a little stronger although the supply of hot milk was generous. We w ere offered two cheeses at the first breakfast - Camembert and Livarot. The former was good, the latter is perhaps an acquired taste. The bed was very comfortable and we had a plentiful supply of hangers. Tip: remember to close the curtain of room 13 before stripping off as you can be seen from the reception area!

Lovely small hotel, very clean, comfortable bed, warm room (it was a cold spring weekend!), plenty of hot water, delicious continental breakfast with great coffee and freshly squeezed juice, very friendly staff. In the medieval heart of Rouen, a few minutes' walk to all the sites, surrounded by lovely restaurants and bars. Most of the other guests seemed to be French, so clearly it's appeal is authentic! Reasonable prices.

We had a wonderful stay and if we ever travel back to Rouen this will be where we want to stay. The staff was so warm and welcoming and answered several of our questions. They were able to accommodate our early arrival and the rooms were so charming. The location is very near many restaurants, shopping, and we were able to walk to all of the main tourists sites we wanted to see. The breakfast was amazing. The coffee, the fresh orange juice, the croissants, etc... it was exactly what you think a French breakfast should be.

Courtyard room, very safe easy access with a coded gate. Stayed here on a biking holiday, owners friendly and very helpful, had already communicated we could store bikes inside, space was available when we arrived. Large bathroom with drying facilities (cycled there on a rainy day so very important). Comfortable, quiet room. Location fantastic and hotel nicely tucked away in a cute courtyard. We did not have breakfast but the cheese looking amazing!

The hotel is a great historic building with lots of charm. The room had been renovated and was very clean. The owner was very welcoming and provided excellent suggestions for dinner. The breakfast was very good with fresh baguette from the boulagerie across the street as well as artisanal cheeses. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Lovely location very central to everything and a great view out over the courthouse. The staff were very helpful and kept my backpack for me behind the bar in the restaurant, before check-in and after checkout, they also let me check in early. My room was small but tidy and really comfortable. There was very little street noise.

The location in the heart of the city centre was amazing and was a good base to explore all of the sites, which were only a few hundred meters away in every direction. The staff were friendly and attentive and the discounted city centre car park was only a couple of minutes walk away. The views of the palais de justice from our bedroom window were amazing.

An excellent location, in the middle of the historic centre of Rouen, with easy walking access to the main sights (cathedral 5 mins, Vieux Marche 5mins) and shops. Very friendly welcome, modern, refurbished rooms with views over the Palais de Justice and a great breakfast served in the hotel brasserie downstairs. The rooms are up 2 flights of stairs and there is no lift, so that's something to bear in mind if you have mobility issues.

The room very small but very clean and comfortable. And the best pillows. I even bought my pillow From the owner and have been travelling a around France with it. So glad I did. It serviced a lovely breakfast and had a kettle and coffee and yes in the room.

Everything was great! The hotel is right in the city center, rooms are small but comfortable. View from the window - astonishing, there also was a bath right next to the window! Breakfasts are fine if you are ok with croissants, tartins and fresh juice with coffee.

We used this as a stopover on our way through to the Alps, and was perfect for this. Easy to get to, secure underground parking (additional charge but worth it for peace of mind). Family room perfect for us with two boys who were happy to share a large double bed. Room was clean and fresh, had all we needed. No restaurant as such unless you're looking for pizza, but plenty of choice for dinner just a short walk away by the river. Breakfast was very good, nice selection and good quality. Overall very happy with our one night stay, and would be happy to recommend based on our experience.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the shower/sink area is small. The staff was very friendly and there was a nice coffee machine in the lobby with free coffee, which we appreciated. The location was not great and you only have a strip of restaurants nearby and walking to the city center was far, so we drove and parked there, but the hotel area felt safe.

Novotel Suites is a modern, comfortable hotel that sits across from the Seine and is close to the historic district of Rouen. The front desk staff spoke excellent English and were very accommodating. We arrived before check-in time, but they arranged for our room to be readied while we parked our car in their secured underground lot. Our room was roomy and clean with a nice bathroom and comfy bed. We enjoyed a late lunch at one of the many restaurants and bars across the street along the riverwalk. Later on we walked over to the historic district to view the famous cathedral and the site of Joan of Arc's execution. We took advantage of the express check out the next morning.

Staff really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and beds lovely and comfy. We had a family room which was big in size with plenty of space. The rooms did look like they have been updated recently. The breakfast was good, especially the scramble eggs and the location of the hotel was perfect for a short stroll into the centre or right opposite the riverside for a nice little walk. We left our car in the underground carpark for €15 a night which felt very secure and convenient

Rooms were Impressive! The room was cleverly designed making excellent use of the space available. Was comfortable and modern for one nights stop over for two adults and medium sized kids. Great location next to the many bars and restaurants on the river. And 15 mins walk into the historic centre. Parking was straight forward and secure. We opted not to have breakfast on account of how close everything was. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

I spent four nights in this lovely hotel in a superior category room - even switched to a room with a beautiful view of Rouen thanks to the help of Monsieur Quentin at the front desk. From the moment I arrived until my departure, the service was attentive and fast. The amenities were top: I enjoyed a Lomi Lomi massage, a Hammam and sauna in the spa and oysters and a Soufflee in the excellent restaurant. The room was so spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom features a large walk in shower and plenty of space to put your toiletries and make up ( usually my pet peeve in hotels that design bathrooms with only men in mind.) Also enjoyed the large modern TV that allowed for my cellphone to chrome cast my own show’s . Finally, the bar is cozy and elegant. All in all, it was always a pleasure to return to the hotel in the evening or afternoon - they even lent me an excellent umbrella for the frequent Rouen rain. The location is quiet and charming, near a few cathedrals and next to the historical Donjon built in the 13th century, where Joan of Arc was held. A cozy, luxury hotel with excellent service and amenities, I’ll definitely be back to the Radisson Blue!

I stayed overnight in a nice room with a comfy bed, decent-sized desk and mini fridge, tv, safe, electric jug, iron & ironing board 👍. Wifi worked well and there were lots of well-placed power sockets. It had a great view, city buildings interspersed with trees and gardens, and on the other side, the 13th century castle donjon which is adjacent to the hotel. Very cool! The hotel is in an ideal position, a few minutes walk from the railway station, near the river and within easy walking distance of all the main sights (with some good museums very close) as well as eateries and shops. Staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately there was a hotel-wide issue with the hot water system in the evening, but guests were given a discount on the cost of their stay as compensation. Breakfast was good. Would be happy to return!

Wow! The highlight of the trip. Amazing property right next to the donjon where Jean d’Arc was imprisoned. Indoor parking $15 a night. Super security. Friendly staff. Great comfortable room. Nice lobby bar with snacks and a lovely restaurant. Breakfast was a knockout. Hard to leave. We hope to be back.

Radisson Blu was fantastic. It was wet weather during my stay and there were a few sites I didn’t get to see as they were closed on Mondays & tuesdays But the hotel had a spa and wellness centre & I spent time there. Lauren was an amazing masseuse- she has magic hands. The hotel restaurant was also a treat. Oysters fresh, the beef medallion alittle sinewy but the mushrooms and sauce was perfect. The deconstructed mango, lemon ginger parfait- was delicious but not really a parfait. It’s a short walk to the cathedral, gros horloge and other sites.

Well, my review will be a mix of "evaluations" as we rented 3 rooms, so, we experienced different things. We got two single bedrooms and 1 double bedroom. Overall, the location is unbeatable! it is walkable to all over the town, the neighborhood is beautiful and safe! at nights it looks like a scary movie LOL (as all around is very old -you can see it and feel it- ). The hotel is a very old building, with a beautiful interior garden, the lift is located just crossing it and you have to hold your things three-four steps. The desk attention was wounderful. Single bedrooms review: Both rooms were located with view to the internal garden (which is beautiful!), so, those bedrooms were quiet at night and were more modern (for sure an upgrade has been done in the last years), the bathrooms had enough space and one had shower and the other bath/shower. Double bedroom review: This room was so big, plenty space.

It was very well located, walking distance to pretty much every point of interest for a tourist, and right around the corner to a supermarket and a laundromat. The bus lines that run right by the hotel came in extremely handy too, because a couple of them reach the train station. The staff were very kind and helpful. I'd recommend the buffet style breakfast they offer if you usually have big breakfasts, the variety and quality of the options was great. The room itself had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked well.

WiFi is very good and bed and pillows are more comfortable than most hotels. Also in a very convenient location as there is the old city, several good restaurants and a supermarket all within 5 or 10 minutes walk. Only slight criticisms are the car park which is 60 cents an hour day and night so will rack up over a week and the shower which likes to surprise you with scalding or freezing water at intervals.

This was undoubtedly one on the best hotels we stayed at during our latest French tour. Great location, easy to find, secure parking and wonderful staff. Good size bedrooms, large comfy beds and air conditioning (which was certainly needed). Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. Mouth watering offerings from the restaurant for dinner and a breakfast to die for. Easy walking distance to town centre to explore the market, the Cathedral, art gallery, Joan of Arc Museum and lots more. Lola was the only name I managed to get but two other young ladies on reception and two men in the restaurant were very friendly, attentive and humorous - not always a given. The bar manager made my wife's day by telling her she looked lovely! It was a pity that we only there for two nights. As Arnold said 'I'll be back'.

The hotel is well situated, about a 10 minute, flat walk from the Cathedral. The rooms are very adequate, clean and very quiet. Not all rooms have a fridge so it’s worth checking this when you arrive. You also need to ask for a non slip mat for the shower and the shower does not have any grab rails. You will also need to take your own shower cap. The air-con is excellent. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The restaurant does not offer an extensive dinner menu but the food we ordered was fine. On busy days it’s advisable to book.

Wonderful welcome from Audrey when we arrived, an English speaking lovely person who took care of us for our original 3 night stay extended to 4. The staff in the hotel are all excellent. The hotel itself is clean and well appointed. Our room was perfectly adequate for our stay with very comfortable twin beds and a good shower and amenities. Wifi was excellent throughout. Breakfast was plentiful and staff always asked us if we were finished before shutting down. Supplies were topped up frequently even when it was near closing time. We had dinner in the Mercure next door 3 nights out of the 4 and it was generally good. The underground car park is a nightmare to navigate as it's very tight. However, with care it does the job and Audrey advised that level 3 is best for larger vehicles. She was correct. Cathedral is about 15 minutes easy walk from the hotel and you are on the bank of the River Seine if you cross the street. We can recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The food was excellent and well priced - commendations to the chef - and we had the opportunity of a buffet for each course (special deal) or a la carte. One of us is gluten intolerant and staff were very helpful in letting us know what could be eaten. Breakfast was also a buffet and very well presented with lots of choice and not too highly priced.. The only downside was some trucks passing during the night, but that would not put us off using this motel again. In a way it was good to be able to drive out of the city a small way for a break from the sightseeing.

A relatively cheap clean hotel that was situated perfectly for the purpose of my visit to the area. Clean room, simple but friendly service and FREE unlimited wifi, which works in the rooms better than the reception area. Whilst the hotel will not win awards for pure luxury it ticked the basic boxes, secure, clean, a good hot shower and a comfortable bed.

We plumped for this hotel for a one-night stopover each way between home and Bordeaux this Summer, and were not disappointed. The two star rooms were basic yet modern and comfortable, secure and, most importantly, immaculately clean. We requested adjacent twin and triple rooms each time and were accommodated on the outward stay (the only drawback was the triple was a bit of a campbed affair for the 11 year old). On the return stay we were treated to an adjoining double and twin, and an adjacent twin at no extra cost, which was a nice touch (I would recommend three book-early twin rooms for a family of five, as this is only fractionally more expensive than twin & triple). The best part of this hotel, however, is the restaurant where I can recommend the plat du jour + unlimited dessert buffet (!) from 1900hrs and the breakfast for from 0700hrs - both were excellent quality and made the stopovers hassle-free either side of a long day in the car - having experienced Bordeaux prices, they also represent reasonable value. I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again, or to recommend it to you. As usual, take some ear plugs in case your neighbours are a little vocal, and you WILL need to study that hotel section in the phrasebook, as 3/4 staff spoke no English at all. They more than made up for this with their friendliness and good humour, I must add. Well Done, Hotel Campanile, and well Done Expedia!

2nd stay in this Campanile this holiday. Would have given it 5/5 but for a slowly draining sink. Comfy, well signposted and situated, friendly and helpful staff. In UK chain terms, provides the services of a good Premier Inn ie coffee/tea making, welcome biscuit/sweet, personally I liked it better than Premier Inn. Substantially less basic services than a Travelodge. Excellent breakfast. I'll be trying to use Campanile chain for future trips.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this hotel having stayed at various Ibis & Etap hotels over the years so I was surprised to see a modern hotel with a light and airy bar/breakfast area. The room was clean with a reasonably modern bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs on offer. What more could one ask for? If you can book an odd numbered room. The even numbered ones overlook a busy road and petrol station where someone starts steam cleaning round the fuel pumps at 04.30 hrs!

We stayed overnight on our way home from a holiday in France. The room is fairly basic as you would expect from a budget hotel. Having said that the bed was comfortable and the bedding was good quality. The shower was large with easy access rather than over the bath. An excellent breakfast was included. Easy parking on site and shopping just two minutes away for those last minute things. There are also several restaurants nearby. The best thing about the hotel was the lovely warm welcome from Valentine who explained everything to us very well. She even arranged a room on the ground floor when she saw that we had luggage. Her collègues, a gentleman in the afternoon and a lady the following morning, were all friendly, professional and helpful. All of the staff were very much appreciated by two weary travellers.

Before I arrived I was sceptical about this hotel because of some low scores. However they exceed the expectations. Everything was perfect. From very kind and helpful receptionists to clean and comfortable room and delicious breakfast. I would definitely recommend it.

Super professional hotel manager Sebastian couldn't have done enough to accommodate our stay, booked at the last minute, and late into the evening. Even opened the bar for us to get a couple of beers after the long days drive. Fantastic. Super quiet and convenient location with ice cold air-conditioning. Exactly what we needed. I booked two night here, and failed to check what I had booked until I arrived and walked into my room (read shoebox) The gentleman on reception said that I had booked an economy room (which I was unaware of, but checking the booking I had - although I must admit I thought 'Eco' meant 'Green' or some such thing).I actually laughed out loud when I saw the size of the room with a very tight shower and toilet area! - but at 34 euros a night I wasn't expecting the Ritz! - But...................there was a kettle, cup and coffee/tea making facilities. A razor, comb available in a plastic bag. Tv worked, Wi-Fi worked. and the shower had good hot water when needed. The bed itself was comfortable, nice duvet which kept me pretty cosy in my small room, and soon it became known to myself as cosy rather than the shoebox which I had previously described it as. The room was quiet - needs a little TLC re paintwork, but overall did me. After all - you only spend so much time in a room anyway. The room next to mine which was open, being cleaned looked very nice. The hotel itself is full of Character, and in the main areas is clean and tidy. Would I stay here again - Yes but not in an Economy room!! It is also well located for the St Ouen Abbey, and very close to the Cathedral and St Maclou church (only open Sat/Sun/Mon).

Very warm and friendly reception from the charming lady proprietor. The hotel has a Napoleonic theme in the reception area reflecting the name of the hotel. Our room was very comfortable and quiet with an enclosed balcony affording views of the street below towards the splendid Hotel de Ville. The breakfast was excellent and very good value for money; a choice of pastries, cereals, meats and cheese on offer as well as hot and cold drinks, all under the the supervision of a portrait of Napoleon's bête noire, Admiral Lord Nelson.

We really can't complain. If you want sparkling new with a 24hr bar and spar facilities then it's not for you . The decor is a little dated . However it represented excellent value for money in a great central location. Close to a 24hr car park but still really quiet. The staff were welcoming .The bed was comfortable and one member of staff was constantly cleaning so no complaints there! Can't comment on breakfast as we ate out. Would definitely visit again

Friendly welcome. The hotel is close to the centre to walk in. The hotel has a car park. The room was comfortable and had storage, the bed was large and we had a good night's sleep. Although the hotel is on a main road when the patio doors were closed we didn't hear any road noise. Bathroom was well equipped, there is a bath and a stand up shower. We had breakfast the next morning which was exceptional, so much choice and well presented. We have booked again

We arrived just as she had locked up and about to leave, she took time to make sure we got in and found our room, very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, plenty of sockets, large flat screen TV and reasonably comfortable bed although found by morning that there was a slight dip to the middle. En suite had free toiletries provided and strong shower. There were vending machines for snacks, drinks, coffee and ice in the hall.

Good access late at night when the reception was closed. Comfortable bed and clean room. Plenty of parking although it is not secured with a gate, as a lot of other French hotels are. Very good breakfast and lovely breakfast room. The man on reception was very friendly and helpful.

I had an excellent stay at l’hôtel Littéraire Gustave Flaubert in Rouen -we even extended it by several extra days! The location is central, with a great downtown feel and easy access to coffee shops, museums, and monuments. The room was comfortable, with plenty of power outlets and good lighting. The hotel’s literary vibe, with books and reading zones, was incredible. Breakfast was great, with ample options including eggs, bakery items, cereal, jams, and beverages. However, we only had it once since we preferred exploring nearby dining options. The room was clean, with comfortable linens and pillows. The air conditioning was effective and easy to adjust. The bathroom had enough space, and the shower always provided hot water. The cleaning staff was outstanding. The front desk staff were formidable. Estelle, Mathieu, and Louise were particularly AMAZING! – friendly, courteous, and exceptionally helpful. They made every interaction delightful and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. They also entertained my desire to communicate in French. The fitness room was incredible, with a dedicated air conditioning system and top-end gear including a rower, bicycle, and Rogue lifting equipment. I had a couple of great training sessions there. For longer stays, I suggest upgrading to a bigger room with a coffee maker, fridge, and maybe a terrace. Next time I visit Rouen, I will definitely stay here.

It took me awhile to find the hotel entrance as the sign is the same color of gray as the stone entrance. And, my roller bag made quite a racket bouncing over the cobblestones. Inside the courtyard I found a peaceful terrace and views of half-timbered houses, a lovely entry for sipping coffee or a beer. I had one of the cheapest rooms and it was perfect for one. Very comfortable bed, windows that opened, and a spotless bathroom. While relatively small, it was private and quiet. I made use of the gym every day for yoga and enjoyed reading my book under the shadow of Flaubert’s statue in the evenings. I ate one breakfast on site and it was adequate. I just have different eating habits. Overall, an excellent value.

A very well positioned hotel for the medieval sector of Rouen and the waterfront. Good pre check-in available and car parking that was worth every euro. Bang on the Pace de Vieux Marché with an abundance of bars, bistros and restaurants. Also very quiet and calm. If you don't want to lash out on an expensive breakfast there are numerous establishments serving p-d within a minutes walk. Very friendly staff and good bar. Not enough time to read all the books though! Would return.

Although a bit of a mystery to find, the location of this hotel is super convenient to restaurants and near the spectacular Église Ste Jeanne d’Arc and other sites are an easy walk. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, the rooms comfortable, and the breakfast quite nice. The overall « Littéraire » theme adds to the charm.

This a lovely hotel with excellent staff. Welcoming, helpful and friendly. It is fairly basic, but is modern, clean and the rooms are bright and airy. The breakfast is fine. The bar service is very good, but the bar area is not very convivial. Although the immediate area is a bit run down, transport into the old town is easy and cheap.

Overnight stopover, although in the city the underground parking and 24 hour reception made it a good option. My phone map showed the hotel on the opposite side of the road for some odd reason and we had to ask how to access the underground garage (from Avenue de Caen), but once we found it a good hotel. Comfortable night sleep, clean bedding and bathroom and and the bathroom looked recently done up. Friendly staff. Tasty and convenient breakfast included (continental with eggs and sausages).

This is miles ahead of any of the other hotels in the area. The facility itself feels new and fresh and apart of a nice neighborhood that while farther away to the touristic heart of the city, is just a metro ride or ride share away. The room was very clean. The staff was friendly in every interaction and always tried to be attentive to any needs or questions we had. Checking in and out were simple and quick. The breakfast was consistent and was exactly what was needed in the mornings. A great property I would definitely recommend to others.

Good location for the city, not right in the hub of it so quiet but easy to walk into to bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. Check in was easy, staff friendly and hotel looks clean. Parking available at a small charge.

Easy to find and very convenient for my onward journey. Some noise from the road but otherwise a very quiet location. Very comfortable updated room. Clean with good facilities. Great breakfast and welcoming staff.

Well located if you are driving from tunnel or ports southwards and need to stop for the night. Located south of Rouen, you can set off the next morning having done the first part of the journey. Optional breakfast (we didn't try this but nice to have the option) and coffee/tea in the room. Clean, convenient and reasonably priced, not fancy - just what we needed. Note: if you are arriving outside reception hours make sure to telephone ahead to get car park code and room card-key details. Alternatively, plan to get there during reception hours!

Last minute reservation on a long journey... very surprised by overall experience for the price : nothing fancy but clean, modern, calm and quiet rooms. Comfortable bed...

Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is very well placed for the old city of Rouen. We were in room 17, it was very clean, the bed linen was crisp and clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was large compared to usual hotel bathrooms, great shower pressure too. Hairdryer in the bathroom together with a small assortment of soap/ shower gel. The room also has a kettle and a small amount of tea/ coffee and sugar. No milk but the supermarket around the corner sells long life milk in the little 1 measure cartons. We didn't do the breakfast as we were out earlier than It started (7am) all the staff we encountered were very helpful and courteous. Just a short walk to restaurants and sights. I definitely recommend this hotel and hope to stay again. We could see the cathedral and the river Seine from our room also which was lovely. It's also only about a 15 minute walk from the train station and easy to find .

We arrived after midnight and left fairly early the next day but the staff were helpful - even when we woke them up - at getting up settled. Would have been easier if they had a call button right at the hotel as we had to find a phone (no cell with us) and someone who spoke English but doubt too many people arrive this late and have this problem. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast (an extra cost but convenient for us) was very complete including eggs (cook your own to order) , fruit, pastries and drinks. The staff gave us directions to nearby cathedral and farmers market - the only sites we had time for and both VERY convenient to the hotel.

A lovely hotel with friendly staff and good amenities. A good selection for breakfast and good coffee. The room was comfortable and clean with little noise. Close to the Cathedral and restaurants but not too close.

I found this hotel to be clean, easy to get around in, nothing confusing or mixed up (as some economy hotels are). Spotless clean and very courteous staff. Great breakfast ready on time. The hotel is just outside the Cathedral center and located in a good area. The Cathedral bell sounds great and is visible from the staircase. Room, bed, bathroom all new and fresh. No English speaking TV stations, but I was there to practice French so that didn't matter. A great experience that made my Rouen visit a fine memory. Only thing to note (which has nothing to do with the hotel) is a club across the street that plays loud music 11pm - 1am.

Super easy to find, knowledgable staff, clean rooms, close to all the sites and shopping, and overall well kept building. We had a great experience here. The rooms were updated and clean. The concierge was incredably knowledgable on the area, welcoming, and gave us the inside scoop on some local dining hotspots. The bathrooms were spacious as well. Our room did not have the greatest view but there was plenty of light in the room. Would deffinently recommend this hotel to those staying in rouen.

We stayed for one night mid September and reserved a car park space (8euros). Our £50 room on 1st floor was clean and well equipped with a USB socket, modern compact shower room, blackout curtain, TV and very comfortable beds with mattress toppers. We got two towels each and two pillows each, nice shower gel and a great nights sleep. An easy walk into medieval town centre. Lucky I didnt read the previous reviews before booking - maybe its been recently modernised?

A kettle and nespresso machine with some pods for a nice coffee. It was all really clean and modern. The shower room looked brand new. Nice pool outside but we ran out of time to try that out. We didn’t eat dinner in the restaurant as we found a little Italian restaurant 4 minutes walk away that we wanted to try. We did have breakfast in the morning and there was a great choice of food and freshly squeezed orange juice which my kids loved. This was perfect to break up our journey from La Rochelle as it was close to the main road.

We had an excellent one-night stay at this hotel, which was perfect for our young family. The rooms were comfortable and the communal area downstairs was full of games and space to hang out over dinner (we ordered Deliveroo to the lobby). Clean and simple. Everything works. The room is basic with not a lot of bag space but just perfect for a night in transit. The hotel reception, bar and restaurant are spacious. The breakfast is typically healthy, European and light.

Considering we stayed at the 2 star hotel, the reception lounge set this hotel apart from similar hotels because the facilities are shared with the 3 star hotel. There are no kettles in the rooms but, you can fill cups with hot water from the dispensers in the breakfast area (politely ask reception first). We arrived late and hadn't eaten. Fear not. Just up the road there is a fabulous fish restaurant called La Marina. Fresh fish cooked to order and sold by the kilo (25 Euros) or you can select from a limited choice of set menus. This is a basic restaurant and you won't find alcohol sold here, but the food was so good we ate there twice over the weekend and the staff were really friendly. Children will like the aquariums and parents will find the prices are far cheaper than the tourist restaurants in the city centre!

A very nice, clean hotel with a great location near old town Rouen. Front desk service was very friendly and helpful. The room was very, very small but fine for just getting some sleep and a shower, and then out for a night or two. Would not recommend for an extended stay. Bonus is secure parking which was very helpful and much appreciated. The breakfast buffet was nice. I would stay here again.

The hotel is well located for visiting the city centre and its attractions. We found it easily enough having driven down from Calais. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about what was going on. The room was large and clean with a very comfortable bed. The shower was powerful, and the water temperature was constant. Secure parking was available on a first come, first served basis with the access a little tricky but manageable. There is parking down the road adjacent to the hotel, but it does become congested. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide selection on offer. We discovered that public transport is free on Saturdays, so we were able to go further afield by bus hopping, which was a welcome relief after exploring the city on foot for two days.

Staff on reception were all really helpful . Room was comfortable and clean . Hotel is 15 minutes walk from cathedral and town centre . Views of the river from the room . Parking for hotel is very convenient and reasonably priced

Easy and friendly check in. Very basic hotel which is what you'd need if you want a hotel close to old town Rouen. Don't expect any extras, simple but cozy enough. Each room has a kettle with tea and instant coffee, and hairdryer (which was missing from our room) Fan didn't seem to work so getting drenched in the rain meant our clothes and shoes did't dry after 2 days. Only one tiny rubbish bin in the bathroom which meant a visit there every time you had to toss something out. Lots of sights close by so super convenient. There is a small gym to workout, a restaurant on site and a place to have a drink in the evening. Views from the window on the third floor. Be sure to double check your bill when checking out. We were charged everything twice from our meal in the dining room and needed to fix it after we checked out. This was terribly inconvenient for those that had to wait behind us.

It was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Shame it was bank holiday Sunday and the restaurant was closed. But there was a burger fast food close by.

It was inexpensive. We got two room cards. Microvawe at the lobby was available (I did not use it though). It was clean. The room was also quiet however very small. To find where the parking is was a challenge, but once we did it was no problem and there was plenty of space to park. Town centre in the walking distance (20 minutes)- for us acceptable. We didn't feel in danger in the area but not 100% comfortable. Parking is free of charge on Sundays.

Just a short stroll to the centre of Rouen, and surrounded by restaurants and bars so ideally placed. Welcoming staff who didall they could to make our stay great.

Room is good enough to spend one night. the bed is comfortable. Breakfast: Very good scrambled eggs. Coffee. Accessible parking.

If you've ever been to Campanille, then you know what to expect - modern design, nice rooms with good size bathroom, toiletries, coffee facilities, super clean towels and comfy bed. It's a typical chain hotel with good quality although they like to save on non-essentials, like paper cups rather than proper china ones. Staff are lovely and they speak English to a communicative level. Another plus is that the parking is free and secured, and even if they run out of spaces, then there is plenty public parking slots available just around the corner. Also, complimentary fast wifi. The minuses are that the hotel is quite a distance from the city centre - you would not think so looking at the map, but it is in fact about a 20-mins walk. The hotel is by motorway exit so forget about any nice views. BREAKFAST is RUBBISH. I know French have minimalistic views on breakfast but to charge 10 euro for what is essentially a boiled egg, cold ham, cheese and a croissant - it is not on! If you arrive at 7am you have a chance to eat something but if you get up later then forget - bread was gone (had to ask for it twice, each time it took 15 mins to defrost and they only brought in one baguette to share for 20 people who were waiting); fruits gone; water in the egg boiler long evaporated and no one seemed to notice to refill; we didn't have orange juice even once as it was gone all the time! The waitresses didn't have a clue how to run breakfast service. Shame.

A good clean Hotel, recently built. A good sized room (twin beds) with plenty space to open your suitcase under the window. A good sized bathroom with a large shower and some quality fitments: e.g. Porcelanosa, Hansgrohe, Geberit. Beds comfy. A second chair would be nice. Our room was at the rear of the hotel on the 5th floor with a view over the Rugby pitches ... very quiet. Secure undercover parking. (use 49.434342N 1.071246E, or 124 Rue De La Motte, Rouen, on your satnav to find the correct exit off the roundabout for the private underground parking.) There is also off street parking outside the Rouen Rugby Park. The hotel is of better quality than other Campaniles we have used. The road outside can be very busy as the hotel is at the side of a roundabout. There are lots of road works going on in the area that cause the tailback of traffic outside the hotel. The Tram line station is not far away, Avenue de Bretagne. (Exit hotel, turn right along past the Rugby pitch to the crossroads, turn right, go along past the prison. turn left at next crossroads.) There is also an indoor shopping mall on Ave de Bretagne.Cannot comment on the food served in the hotel as we didn't use the restaurant. All in all we would return, hoping that the quality of the hotel has been maintained.

Just stayed for one night,but the hotel was very clean and comfortable,masks worn by all and sanitiser where needed.staff friendly and helpful and pleasing buffet breakfast.

Room was clean and modern. The shower was excellent and clean towels every day. The room could benefit from draws or shelves to unpack in to as there were only 5 hangers for clothes. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and the food was good. The bar shut quite early so having returned to the hotel in the evening it was a little disappointing not to be able to drink a cold beer. (Day time temperature was very high 30's) Location is a little way out of Rouen but if you don't mind a little walk it was quite simple to get to the centre.

The staff were very friendly. Bed was very comfortable. No food only Pizza for dinner. Which was cold in middle and heated in microwave. No tea and coffee facilities. No fresh milk just UHT. If your using it just for stop over and just need a place to crash excellent as bed was nice shower was great as well

perfect, easy to find and ideal as a stop-over hotel. Staff were very helpful and room was basic but comfortable - reminded us of a caravan ~(all in one shower and toilet!).

On the main road across from the Expo area this hotel was clean and neat. Each room is triple with a queen bed on the bottom and a twin perpendicular above the headboard. The mattresses were comfortable. No luxury but accomodating for three adults. The bathrom hasa shower- but very small with shallow well- do no leave items on the bathroom floor. Think premier stateroom on a cruise ship- if you are okay with that kind of space and desin than you will be happy with the room and love the price!

Nice budget hotel for an overnight stop on the way back to Calais (2 hr drive) near to a Mcdonalds for food if you have kids. Rooms are small but clean & beds are very comfortable. Receptionist was extremely friendly & spoke good English if your French is rusty. Secure car park gates lock @9pm

I traveled to Normandy to work in the area for 35 days, staying at the Campanile was an enjoyable part of the time in France. The staff were fantastic, everyone welcomed me like family and we all enjoyed the daily French/English lessons. My work schedule only allowed a few opportunities to eat dinner at Le Restaurant but those occasions were fabulous. The petit-dejeuner (breakfast) was always wonderful traditional French fare. Although this is an older motel the housekeeping is very good and my room was always clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to other colleagues and I will definitely stay here again if I get the opportunity.

Basic rooms, but clean and comfortable. All you need for an overnight stay. Nice bar and restaurant. We didn't have an evening meal there as opted for the Brassiere up the road, but breakfast was good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Our SatNav got us to Barentin no trouble, however, it did not direct us to the hotel. Suggest literature mentions close proximity to the Carrefour Superstore as an additional guide. Hotel facilities were clean, tidy and operational. Staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant and found it to be very good quality and value for money, particularly the buffett sweet option. First class desserts of all descriptions, a treat indeed. Restaurant staff were delightful, just the right balance between informative guidance re: menu options and attentive enquiry that all was well. In summary, if you want a stop over on the way to/from Calais to/from the the west this facility, from our experience, will serve you well.

I had a great recommendation from the hotel less than 10 steps away. The room was absolutely gorgeous and amazing with a large bathroom with a shower door and nice shower. It was very clean, comfy and cozy, I totally recommend visiting this hotel in Rouen. The staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely come to see Rouen’s cathedral that Monet painted beautifully and stay at Hotel Dandy. It is walking distance from the train station. I also recommend the art museum, which was actually free. It had a beautiful impressionist artwork. There is a trolley with a great tour in the old town. Loved it!

We stayed one night on our return from Spain. The hotel has parking for only 3 cars and this was booked so we parked in an underground car park 3 mins walk away. The hotel is in an older building, very central for sightseeing. We were up in the roof, which gave us lovely views from the skylight windows, but my 6’3” husband found the bathroom a real challenge. Even I, at 5’1” was struggling to stand upright in the shower. The rooms were all beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable. There are bars and restaurants nearby - bear that in mind if you don’t like city noise especially in summer as there is no air con. We didn’t have breakfast but the croissants and coffee smelled great! Great value hotel too for such a fabulous location.

A very traditional small friendly hotel so French it could only be in France! It was very clean and the room beautifully decorated with a very comfortable antique bed. A friendly and helpful receptionist was looking after things and the only fly in the ointment was that the WiFi wasn't working initially, although it finally came back at about 10pm. Otherwise, the hotel is superbly situated in a very old part of town surrounded by fantastic bars and restaurants. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at this small hotel. We received a friendly welcome, and helpful information about local events. Our room with an interesting street view, was comfortable and clean. It was only a short walk to the centre of this beautiful city. Breakfast was very good as well.

Used for 1 night on our way South. Clean and comfortable. Free internet was useful. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant was good. No air conditioning was the only down side on a very hot night. Child's bed was high, reached by ladder, and therefore very hot. We had to move the mattress on to the floor. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and good quality if a little pricey with no child reduction. Recommended for a stop over.

Excellent, friendly service. I went for the studio apartment with a balcony and it proved a great choice! Wide balcony with sitting area made for a nice place to read and relax at the end of the day.

Love the staff and the place, it is really convenient for a family ( blinds, kitchenette, space and reception available) .cleanliness is similar to hotel standards. This is now one of my favourite place to go travelling to Rouen, there is also a supermarket 5 min away open 7 am to 10pm I believe ( very handy when you need milk for your toddler last minute ..)

Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans cet appart hotel en juin 2023. Personnel à l'accueil très aimable et serviable. Chambre vétuste mais propre. Bonne literie et tout ce qu'il faut dans la kitchenette. Le seul point négatif est qu'il manque la climatisation car il faisait vraiment très chaud dans la chambre, on a essayé de faire des courants d'air en ouvrant la fenêtre de la salle d'eau mais pas plus d'air. On a du laissé la fenêtre et les volets ouverts mais notre studio donnait sur la route et donc difficile de dormir avec le tram jusqu'à 2h00 du matin et le jour le matin. A part cela notre séjour s'est bien déroulé. Le tram à 2 mn à pied pour aller en ville est très pratique. Je recommande cet appart hotel.

My wife and I had a comfortable 2 night stay at IBIS Rouen Centre Rive Gauche. We had a car and based on previous comments I made sure to see where the driveway was located (using Google Street View) and had no problem getting in. Check in was quick and friendly and room was basic and small but clean and comfortable. Wifi was good. Only one electrical outlet (unless you unplugged the TV). Was about a 15-20 minute easy walk across the river to the main historical part of Rouen. Would stay again.

Great location, shopping centre and restaurants over the road. Walk through the centre and out the other side and turn left, lots of great cafes n restaurants. Or walk into city centre, amazing building and restaurants and lots of shops. Extremely helpful hotel staff.

Its an Ibis red so you know what you are getting. Its a little way out of the city centre but right by a tram stop and a commercial centre with a supermarket, restaurants etc. Staff were helpful, rooms had air conditioning although the decoration was a bit tired the bed was comfy and the shower was good. There is parking but its a little tricky to spot - go through the traffic lights and turn immediately right on to what appears to be the pedestrian pavement follow this slightly left & you will see on the right a clearly marked underground garage entrance.

Stop over on way to Bordeaux - great for 1 night with secure underground parking. Rooms not fancy, but very clean and bed/pillows really good quality and comfortable. 20 mins walk to the cathedral where all the restaurants/bars are. Wouldn’t stay for a week but great for a stopover.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is located next to a nice shopping mall. Surrounding neighbourhood is not great, but it's good for a one-night stopover. Parking is 6 Euros.

The availability of the Campanile restaurant in such close proximity was invaluable. The Breakfast at Premier Classe was good value and all in all our visit was enjoyable at a reasonable price.

Better than we expected, just needed this hotel to sleep for a few hours while on the road. There was a fridge and microwave which was perfect for us as we had milk for our 1 year old. Bed was big and comfortable. Clean sheets, towels and soap in the bathroom. Self check-in was fine even at midnight. We had low expectations due to the price, but were pleasantly surprised in the end - this is just a roadside hotel, so it's not luxury but we had a good night's sleep!

Disappointed that Campanile no longer offer "Buffet a volonte" as part of their restaurant menu which was always excellent value. The breakfast coffee and orange juice was better than on our previous stays at Premier Classe and staff were able to offer useful advice in English. . .

this is a bum basic hotel, which is in the middle of my trip so is perfect for a rest stop. The secure parking is great for motorcycles, and the breakfast is surprisingly good, if you like croissants(6.5€ extra tho)! On-line prebooked prices are consistently 20% less than "rock up unannounced" price. Do: get there during the reception-open hours, in case of mistakes, and do use/ask for the discount voucher for the decent restaurant next door. Don't: expect the Hilton or English spoken. oh, and the surrounding area is a bit grim, so no after-dinner strolls...
