Situated beautifully within the northern alps. The room had a "cabin in the woods" vibe. The jacuzzi was great. Hot water was available at all points. Food at the restaurant was good and fresh and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly.

This cozy mountain hotel has a great location - about a 40-minute drive to Theth. The rooms are on the smaller side but overall comfortable and well-equipped. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection of eggs, vegetables, and fresh fruit. There’s free parking right next to the hotel, which was very convenient. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was delicious! The large fireplace in the center of the dining room created a very warm and cozy atmosphere. Overall, the prices for food were reasonable!

Stunning location and hotel. Facilities were perfect condition, beautiful pool, steam room and sauna. Large windows around the pools which look out to the mountains. Dinner was delicious and well priced. We are both vegetarian and there were enough options. Breakfast is in the form of a buffet with loads of options and everything was delicious. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Would recommend!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is easy to find and close to many places to eat, drink and shop. The rooms are very large, very modern and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. Room had a fridge. Breakfast is in a cafe next door. The breakfast was very generous with omelettes, meats, cheeses, bread, jam, croissants and juice and water. Coffee is extra...but only about 30p for a cup. This is a fantastic place to stay.

Alko Hotel was the best accomodation we were during our Balkan motorbike tour. I can mention only positive points: the safe parking lot for motorbikes with a security guard; the ladies at the front desk were extremely kind, helpful and nice. The hotel is very high quality, with modern, clean, well equipped and comfortable rooms. We found everything we needed in the minibar. The city center is a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was No 1! Thank you very much, I am sure we'll return again! :)

Comfortable and clean stay with well thought out rooms and facilities. The hotel is within an easy walking distance of the pedestrianised part of Shkoder with lovely bars and restaurants. Breakfast is in the cafe next door which was tasty. Alexia on reception was fantastic in helping us organise a trip to lumi i shales and was very kind to us with lots of helpful suggestions.

Super friendly staff (who spoke brilliant English - thank you), great breakfast, brilliant location - just a short walk to the supermarket and the main streets of bars/restaurants. The budget room is compact, but very clean, amazing shower and includes a fridge. Parking was also available and included for guests.

Best place we stayed in a really long time. Super clean, restaurant on site with amazing food, really helpful and friendly staff, stunning view, access to pool, jacuzzi and sauna which they turn on just for us. Proper spa vibes on the mountain, amazing place to stay for a few days. Much better then the photos advertise. Breakfast included and ready for us the night before because we had an early tour the next morning. Big shout out to Albi in reception, the man is on it and will sort you out, super friendly and excellent communication skills.

This must be one of the best hotels in Albania! Picturesque does not even begin to describe it. It is instagram heaven without all the queues. Located just about 1.5 hours from Tirana. We chose Shkoder as a stopover to the Albanian alps. We were two families travelling with young kids. They absolutely loved the pool and the surroundings. The pool and solarium are warm, there is a sauna and a jacuzzi. The staff are extremely lovely and accommodating. Breakfast is quite lavish with hot and cold options. There were fried eggs, sausages. Boiled eggs, cold cuts and salads. Lovely coffee, all included in the room price. Their dinner and lunch menu are extensive and will suit all palates and cater to vegan, vegetarian, gluten free etc.. I found their food and drink extremely reasonably priced and it must be a hot spot for lunch and dinner for the locals as on a Sunday it could be busy. The room itself was extremely large and comfortable. There was a fridge, hair dryer and you could use the towels by the pool. The beds were extremely comfortable and our room had air conditioning and a fan which we used as it was hot. Many thanks to Albi and Gerty for sharing local knowledge with us. We managed to tear ourselves away from the hotel to visit Mesi Bridge which is 30 minutes away. We had the loveliest and freshest lunch in a place called Cafe Murarti. Highly reccomend.

Nice hotel on top of a hill which gives you an amazing view on the river and the countryside around. Comfortable and spacious room. The staff was kind and their restaurant is delicious (think about booking a table as it's full on weekends). The hotel has an indoor swimming pool. Very quiet at night. Amazing breakfast

This is not the first time we have stayed at the hotel. I really like the location, in the very center of the city, there are many cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. The room is very large, with a Jacuzzi bath, 2 mini fridge, stove, sink, dishes. Sauna, swimming pool in the hotel are very popular with our children and us. I especially want to mention the staff. Everyone is polite and ready to help. Special thanks to the waiter Ergot for the quality service.

Great hotel. The price corresponds to the quality. I want to note: - Attentive and polite staff, pleasant workers in the spa area, at the reception, waiters, parking workers and maids. Everyone tried to help with any questions and were very friendly - The room had a kitchenette, stove, large refrigerator, dishes, safe, bathrobes, slippers, bar, baby cot - The bathroom is large and bright, excellent magnifying mirror, hair dryer, shampoo, gels, soap - There was a Jacuzzi in the bathroom (we were surprised because we didn't expect this from the photo) - the children were delighted - Periodically there was a ringing from the mosque, but it did not interfere at all - The room is very warm, we opened the windows at night - We had dinner in a restaurant, delicious and at the same price as in the nearest restaurants - We paid with a contactless card. Keep in mind that only debit (personal) cards work

Location- Coloseeo & Spa cannot be more central than actually is, meaning top location Breakfast - Fresh, and very delicious, coffe & homemade croissant is a great way to start the day( personally speaking) while cooked veggies were simply delicious. Room No 214 - spacious, clean, great view towards the city promenade, .and bed was very comfortable indeed. Spa&Gym- great on equipment, pool was Okay, while sauna was a bit small, ( not for the size of Hotel Coloseeo is) Staff - very professional and friendly, especially the guy at the gym/Spa Emanuel, who is not only a local encyclopedia, but very communicative & helpful on any questions you might have.

Perfect location, close to the city centre and nice restaurants. Loved the gym, swimming pool and spa, staff is very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean, but a little outdated. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is ideally located, right in the city center and at the beginning of the main pedestrian street with lots of restaurants and bars. Our room was nice and clean, and staff was very professional and friendly. We enjoyed a plentiful breakfast and were served in a very friendly way by Ergys.

A superb property to relax in, with excellent sauna and jacuzzi, and fabulous views and sunsets. The Spar supermarket just around the corner has everything you need. Very helpful and responsive hosts. Other guests have mentioned a small Romany camp below the apartment but this was not an issue at all, and in fact was being cleared when we left. Obviously the apartment is slightly out if town but a very cheap and easy taxi ride in.Ths is indeed a 'sublime' apartment and we can not recommend it enough - 10/10!!

The place was beautifully presented. So clean. All the amenities we needed to cook, eat and clean. We had stunning sunset views of Lake Shkodra. The apartment is located in the sweet spot between the Pedonale, Rozafa Castle and beautiful lakeside town of Shirokë which has some of Albania's best restaurants. We loved the corridor installments, especially the Albanian national costumes. And in our room was a large, helpful mural representing a map with Shkodra's most interesting sights. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing place. The location is perfect, both the city center and the castle are within walking distance. There's a supermarket just in front of the hotel. The beach and lakefront restaurants are 5 min away with a taxi, and the staff helped us to book it. Everyone is friendly and helpful. 100% perfect

Everything was fantastic! The room and facilities were beautiful and incredibly clean. The staff were very warm, welcoming and super helpful. Sublime bnb offer rental e bikes which was the best thing! My partner and I were out biking the whole day, super fun and so easy to get around and into the heart of town. There is a supermarket and cute coffee shops right around the corner. We had a lovely view of the castle. Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely great stay! One of the nicest accommodations we stayed in while travelling Albania and still very budget friendly. We only booked one night but ended up staying three as the apartment was comfortable, spacious enough and had the facilities like a washing machine that we truly needed. Walkable to lots of great restaurants, some which our lovely hostess sent us. She was very responsive, flexible and attentive, giving suggestions of things to see in the area.

Well located on one of the main streets in the city, it is a large, modern hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped (even a kettle for making tea and coffee). Breakfast is very good and can be taken inside and outside on the terrace. Staff speak a good level of English and are very helpful. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel, located at the city center, extremely clean and comfortable. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff Marsida, Eda & Nimet. Loved the breakfast which was included with an efficient and friendly staff Angjela, Nada and Gerti. The housekeeping staff was excellent. We were very pleased with our stay at Golden Palace, Shkodër. Will definitely come again to this place.

This was a very nice hotel to stay at. Great central location, clean rooms, very friendly staff and great breakfast. If I was every going to return to Albania I would definitely go back. The only reason I scored it lower was due to the fact that I paid Hotels.com for the evening and then the hotel said that they hadn't had the money and I had to pay them directly also. I had to pay twice and then claim my money back from Hotels.com. Bit of a hassle this. If i didn't claim it back would hotels.com just keep the money?

The hotel is located right in the center, directly on the pedestrian street – super convenient and a lovely place to walk around, especially in the evenings. The atmosphere is lively but still pleasant and relaxing. The staff were absolutely amazing – kind, helpful, and genuinely caring. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyable, with a nice variety. The room was clean and comfortable, and we especially loved the small balcony, which was a great spot to enjoy a morning coffee. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a central and welcoming place to stay!

This was a one-night-stop while traveling through the Balkans but it turned out to be the best hotel throughout the entire trip. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast was served. + Very luxurious feeling. + Amazing bathroom with proper rainfall shower. + Large rooms with a separate area for couch and tv. + Comfortable beds. + Balcony with amazing view. + Very nice restaurant with great food, amazing view and cheap prices. + Very helpful staff (especially the man outside that helped us with parking and our bags). + Easy to find. - The staff barely spoke any english.

The Good/Bad and Smoke Filled Pros: Rooms are very nice and fairly new, bathroom was spotless and the shower is wonderful. Hotel is located in a great location, close to the main square and restaurants. The staff was all very good and very nice, the girls at the front desk and the bar were very helpful. Cons: Biggest issue is the main lobby/restaurant area is a smoking restaurant. So while you are eating breakfast there is smoke everywhere. The Wifi in the room also did not work... we had to sit by the door in our room hallway to book our onward tickets or use the wifi at all. The rooms themselves don't smell like smoke and there is no smoking in the hotel rooms itself which was nice. Breakfast is pretty good its just different, you don't actually pick what you eat, they just bring a plate full of spinach pastries, eggs, bread, tomatoes, cucumbers and random other bits.

The room was very spacious with the TV in the living room and one in the bedroom, the Wi-Fi worked very well, the breakfast was good, the room was clean, and it was a very good location. The guy who helps you park your car is phenomenal. Such a nice guy and so helpful. The front desk people, the people who work in the breakfast buffet, everyone was so nice. The only thing that needs work, and I think they were in the process but didn’t get it quite done, was only having a bathtub because there was no shower curtain. We highly recommend hotel Chicago. Came here with a friend for two nights. The location was amazing with the bus station and nice streets with restaurants right outside the door. The room was clean, big and with great airconditioning. The breakfast buffet was slightly small, but served with a beautiful view of the city. All the staff were super friendly and ready to help. Definitely great value for the price.

The hotel is new, exceptionally clean, and beautifully designed, with a modern and contemporary ambiance. It is excellently located on a hill above the lake, offering a stunning view of the lake. The room is spacious and comfortable. However, I was surprised that the room doesn't have a wardrobe, except for a narrow closet about 50 cm wide that also contains a safe and a mini-fridge. It seems they expect guests to stay for only one day, but it’s not very convenient to keep your belongings on the floor in an open suitcase. The TV is mounted on the wall beside the bed, making it awkward to watch, especially since there are no chairs or other furniture in the room to address this issue. The breakfast is excellent, and it’s truly enjoyable to have your morning coffee on the terrace with a breathtaking view of the lake and the distant landscape. The prices for lunch and dinner are very affordable. Reading guest reviews, I got the impression that check-in might be unpleasant due to difficult access and the uphill climb. I was worried about this, but the hotel has done everything necessary—there is access to the reception by car, and the garage is right below the terrace with the pool. So I want to ease any concerns new guests might have regarding this. All in all, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The view from the room was stunning, overviewing the lake and mountains. We received a room upgrade which was very friendly from the reception staff. The room was very large and comfortable; more than enough space for luggage, large bed and comfortable sheets and pillows. The first morning we got our breakfast to go, which was no problem at all for the staff. The second morning we had an amazing breakfast in the restaurant with fresh products. The staff was sincerely friendly and warm, which was great! Withing a 10 minute walking distance, there is a nice boulevard with some great restaurants by the lake. Overall; lovely hotel with beautiful lake views. We would definitely recommend it!

The hotel is amazing, and I enjoyed a luxurious vacation. The furniture is very clean, the bathroom is very clean, and the bathtub is large and wonderful. The view is fantastic. Fast check-in and check-out, and the breakfast is delicious and never gets boring. The pool is large and clean. The restaurant is upscale, and their food is delicious. They offered me a complimentary fruit platter (a nice touch). The staff is cheerful, especially the waiter “Krish Nick,” who was the most cheerful waiter I’ve ever met.

We were lucky to experience this new boutique hotel where we stayed for 3 nights. It's a contemporary designed hotel, and it's cosy, tasteful, and elegant. It's a relatively small hotel (giving that exclusive,well looked after feeling), well designed, and has a calm and luxurious atmosphere that we loved. The room was very spacious,well layed out with a huge wardrobe and amazing shower room. Super comfy, what looked like, a king-size bed and amazing view to the lake. The staff was beyond nice and went out of their way to help, from receptionist to the waiters.The gem of the hotel is the restaurant with the "a la cart" style, French inspired menu, but with local produce and Albanian twist (freshest fish and the seafood you can have ). We even had an honour to meet the shef, Adi, himself, and we could see he was passionate about his work and food. He was giving us a Michelin star worth dinners that we are very grateful for! Thank you, Adi! Highly recommend to experience this amazing hotel. We added some pictures ( I didn't take that many),but I don't think it does justice to this place.

The hotel was in a beautiful location overlooking the lake with mountains and cypress trees behind. Our room was spacious and comfortable with an amazing view. Our en-suite shower was brand new and had all the toiletries you may need. The breakfast was incredible with everything from eggs; fruit; yoghurt; cakes; juice; coffee etc served directly to our table. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

This is a charming, family-run hotel where everything is done with care, love, and dedication. The room was stunning— featuring a spacious balcony with breathtaking views of the valley, and a luxurious jacuzzi that made our evenings feel extra special. The food was another highlight. Every meal was homemade by the mother of the family, and you could taste the warmth in every bite. The breakfast buffet was both generous and varied, all freshly prepared and delicious.

Such a special and unique experience in the Albanian Alps; the place is perched high with a truly stunning view. Gjon greeted us when we got there (quite later than expected) and was kind and personable. Our room was stunning, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is so quiet and peaceful here. We ate dinner on site all three nights and the dining room was cozy and warm, food was delicious and the homemade desserts were fantastic. Breakfast was always fresh and different each morning with a wide selection and great coffee. It was so nice to get to know Gjon and we loved being greeted by Luna (their dog) whenever we walked outside. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed. Truly one of the most amazing places we've ever stayed, do not hesitate to book!

First of all, our hosts John, his sister and their mother were the friendliest most hospitable people we met in Albania. They were so accommodating to our requests, they made our stay very comfortable and we had some nice chats. Also their mother’s food was sooo amazing. Her breakfast was delicious and definitely make sure to try her dinner. I will miss having her breakfast on the terace with the view of the mountains and fresh air. The rooms were very cozy and you had an amazing view of the valley. We woke up every morning for the sunset. Honestly I enjoyed spending time at the guest house more than in town 😂. I wish we coule have stayed more days but if I’m ever back in teth there is no place i would stay than here again. Thank you for making our stay wonderful and hope we get to meet again.

The family who runs this guesthouse has created a peaceful and tranquil environment perfect for relaxation and exploring the area. During our two-night stay, they provided both breakfast and dinner—all home-cooked and delicious—with a good range of options. We hiked the Valbona Pass, Blue Eye, and Grunas waterfall. Gjon provided great recommendations on the hikes and coordinated a delicious packed lunch for our Valbona Pass trek. Our charming room featured a mountain-facing balcony with amazing views, and each morning began with a yummy breakfast with a view. The combination of warm hospitality, home-cooked food, and stunning scenery made this an unforgettable stay.

Everything was excellent! The staff was extremely welcoming, kind and friendly. Although there was a language barrier, we understood each other about everything, they were very helpful and always positive. The food was amazing and abundant. The breakfast although simple it was so delicious. We ordered dinner and there were so many tasty things that we got extremely full and still there was food left on the table. The house is constantly maintained and cleaned. The river view suite is just like the photos and the Instagram posts of influencers, cozy and charming. The view from the room, breathtaking. We just can't wait to come back here.

- the location was perfect, just ten minutes walk from Theth shop / Valbona Pass Trail - the views were amazing, stayed two nights in two different rooms with two different views - the owner and family are so lovely, can help you whenever they can and are very welcoming - we had a traditional Albanian breakfast and dinner which was more than generous and tasty - rooms were spotless, comfortable and more like a boutique guesthouse - easy access walk to Gruna Waterfall and the Blue Eye trails

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming which made our stay even better. The breakfast each morning was delicious and helped fuel us on our walks. The guesthouse is further out from the centre of Theth than some, but this means that it is closer to the waterfall and Blue Eye trails which was a welcome relief! There are also plenty of restaurants in close proximity if you don't want to walk into town or eat at the guesthouse. The room was also very comfortable and had lovely views to the mountains. The highlight was sitting out the front for breakfast or dinner with an incredible panoramic view of the mountains!

Theth is the most gorgeous place to be and this lodge was a stunning was to enjoy it with a little bit of luxury but also felt very natural and fit with the surroundings. bed was very comfortable, the room was actually quite spacious more than it seemed from the photos. breakfast was lovely, location perfect and you have the most amazing views from your balcony and the garden (where we ate breakfast on the second morning). Alda and Eduardo could not be nicer hosts, we absolutely loved them!

The room had an incredible view on the river and the surrounding mountains, and staying there during fall made it even more cozy. The typical Albanian breakfast is exceptional. The location is perfect to visit the famous Church, the Kulla and the waterfall. Besides the breathtaking views, the amazing hikes and the great food, what we will take with us the most is the incredible welcoming of the owners, we felt like being part of the family. Thank you for making our stay so special!

The apartment is right in the center on a lively street, not far from the old town. You can reach everything on foot. Bakers, shops, bars, restaurants etc.. (You can hardly hear the traffic). The apartment is very spacious, everything you need is there. Everything was very clean. 1 small balcony was used to hang up our laundry, on the large balcony we always had breakfast or enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening. A magnificent view over Tirana. We had great joy. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly - thank you for that.

Super spacious, bright, clean, with everything that we need within a huge room. Toilet is modern and big, plus a kitchen and TWO balconies. There’s even a dining set-up at the balcony (which is also huge), overlooking beautiful Shkoder and the mountains. When it’s sunset, it’s just amazing. Hosts are warm and friendly, and the family arranged among themselves to ensure that someone met us and showed us around the place. Location is wonderful as well, with many restaurants just downstairs, peaceful yet a short 5 min walk to the main street.

The room was super spacious, clean, comfortable and modern. It had a big balcony with a great view of Shkodra city center and the Rozafa castle. The host was super kind and friendly. Collection of keys and communication was very easy. There is also a small kitchen if you want to cook. :)
