Great hotel and great value! I managed to use the span which was superb! Breakfast was a full buffet, great variety, quality, fresh and delicious, staff in there were extremely helpful. The room was super clean, spacious, with views to the courtyard which was amazing for resting. Balcony is a plus and check in/out really professional, friendly, helpful....I totally recommend this place.

As a family with two boys (ages 7 and 8), we were absolutely delighted with every aspect of our stay. The food and drinks were excellent, and the entire staff was incredibly polite, professional, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Everyone was kind, helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, thanks to the wonderful housekeeping team. The hotel interiors carried a beautiful scent that reminded us of Portugal, something we will cherish and remember for a lifetime. Everything was perfectly organized and delivered exactly as agreed. We especially appreciated the availability of two outdoor pools (0.40m and 1.40m depth), both clean and well-maintained, and the indoor pool, SPA, sauna, and gym facilities were just what we needed for full relaxation and recreation. The hotel is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Lovely gardens, peace and tranquility. The staff are professional, kind and helpful. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, with quality products- I particularly enjoyed the coffee and the orange juice. Travelers with children should know that the indoor pool is adults only from 9-11 a.m and from 19-21 p.m. It is very clearly stated- at the front desk, in the elevators, at the entrance of the pool. But ,of course, at 20 p.m, there was a couple with two young children. Well, we complained to the front desk and they quickly shooed them away. So, please, don't be those entitled parents. You have all day to enjoy the pool- follow the rules and let other guests enjoy it for a couple of hours without screeching, screaming and splashing.

Love the staff. They were friendly all along. The food is amazing including the breakfast buffet. The hotel is in a calm area, perfect for families.

The pool area both outdoors and indoors was very spacious and enough shade. Also the fact that the kids bed and our bed were in different areas of the room (mezzanine) was very good as they could go to sleep and we could carry on watching tv or using the balcony. The location was good as well, and extra points for the extra kids activities like the inflatable castle and the kids area. Even though I have children myself I understand some people need to enjoy their time without children around, and was positively surprised to see that this year they have adults only times at the indoors pool. The food was very good and great offer with different dishes every day. Also, when booking dinner through reception we would get a free drink each. Mr Paulo Alves made our experience amazing with his kindness and energy at the restaurant area, and you could feel a totally different, not as positive, dynamic during service when he was not there.

V friendly staff, we were upgraded to a fantastic suite with jacuzzi. We were overlooking the river and close to everything. Thank you!

Beautiful spacious bedroom and bathroom. Very clean. Beautiful indoor pool and spa facilities. Lovely roof top terrace and pool with great views [though pool a bit on the cold side]. Excellent breakfast, staff super friendly and helpful. Nice bar with river view, great food and drinks. Great location in Belem, close to a lot of monuments and museums and 40 minutes by tram to centre of Lisbon. Overall a very relaxing stay and hotel highly recommended. A true 5 star experience.

Great location, with easy access to trains, buses, and ferries. 5 minutes train journey into Lisbon. Belem Tower, a few minutes walk, as is the discovery tower. The view from the pool terrace and the bar terrace is beautiful, Great to watch the boats going up and down the river. Our room was spacious, the bed so comfortable. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly.

Our room was upgraded at no cost. Great view and spacious. Extra clean. Breakfast was included. Good selection of items. Very friendly restaurant staff. We were greeted at the door and always available for service. Spa was amazing. Very soothing and calm like you are walking in a chinese garden. Very soothing. Highly recommended. Fitness center was ok but if you do cardio than great. I am a lifter. I was expecting few more machines but it's ok. I ran outside. lol... Also wanna mention that we met a gentleman at the front desk. Don't remember his name. He was very nice. I told him my wife and daughter are coming next week but they are staying across the street because they couldn't find the room here. He felt bad that we are not together. He offered a room for them so we can stay together but wife had non-refundable reservation. She couldn't cancel it. It's ok what can we do.....

We had a nice surprise on arrival - an upgrade to a diplomat suite which had a fantastic sea view and two large bedrooms with a bath and a shower and a large sea view terrace. We also had an office which was very handy as we could pick up on work items. We greatly enjoyed roof top infinity pool with a spectacular harbour and city view. Although the pool is a little small it was still a nice touch to our fantastic stay. Spa centre is also worth giving a visit as it has a nice large pool with jets. Although the property is a little dated and needs renovation it still is enjoyable and has all modern days comforts for a perfect stay in the best spot of the city right by the harbour and the promenade.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Onyria Quinta da Marinha Hotel. From our arrival to our departure, nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic staff working in this hotel. It was clear that the focus in this hotel is to ensure its guests enjoy their stay and every effort is made by them to achieve this aim. We had a late arrival and were still able to get something to eat and drink at the bar (bar food operates until 1am) which was very much appreciated. We had a family room which had a small balcony and a huge double bed and bunk beds for the children, very comfortable and adequately sized. Fab rainfall shower in the bathroom with Molton Browne products. Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels provided (as required) daily. Very good selection of TV channels including a good number of English speaking channels. We enjoyed a few meals in the bar and in the restaurant and the food was delicious, particularly the food on the Mexican themed night. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. The pool area is very relaxing and pool towels were provided for use during our stay. The gardens and golf course are simply beautiful and sitting by the pool was an oasis of calm and beauty. I would particularly like to mention Catarina, Michelli and Vasco at reception who were incredibly helpful to us when we required their help during our stay.

In our opinion this hotel is better than its more modern sister hotel. It has more ambience and is more of a traditional Portuguese hotel. It has a lovely terrace around the pool which overlooks the golf course. The bar is very pleasant. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is very good, we had a great meal at Rocca. We also very much enjoyed our meal at Monte Mar. The free shuttle to the golf reception is good and the course was in exceptional condition. Our only complaint was the slow speed of play on the course. Despite this we would be happy to return for a third time.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Onyria main hotel. First of all the atmosphere was friendly and elegant without being too stiff or pretentious. All staff (from reception to restaurant staff and housekeeping) were extremely helpful and approachable. Our guest relations manager Afonso Santos was excellent, very proactive to make sure we felt perfectly looked after. The rooms were beautiful, spotlessly clean and beautifully designed. Breakfast was very varied and absolutely delicious. The grounds and pools were very well maintained and beautiful. The hotel will undergo major renovation this year so we hope to find the same friendly charm that we encountered this time as we’d love to be back!

Booked a last-minute stay here and was pleased with the price and the room upgrade that I received. The room and bathroom were massive, tasteful, and very comfortable. The property itself is also really nice and I had the lovely infinity pool all to myself in the evening and morning. The breakfast was also phenomenal - a huge variety of lovely fresh fruit, fresh pastries, coffee and juices, and delicious fresh cooked eggs and bacon were included. The staff were available and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this to others - if you're treating yourself to a luxurious evening I think this place provides better value for money compared to other options in the Sintra area.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this property. The location is perfect, allowing easy access to all the best local attractions. Breakfast each morning was amazing, and the overall vibe, environment, and accommodation were fantastic. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. The facilities were particularly good, and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the pool in such a quiet, pleasant setting. The scenery around the property was beautiful and contributed to the peaceful atmosphere. Even the breakfast was quite competent.

The hotel was amazing: beautifully designed, quiet, spacious room in a historic building, attention to detail, delicious breakfast, and attentive hosts. It has a nice territory and its highlight is the lounge bar in the chapel which was the most beautiful launch bar I ever visited. The hotel is close to Sintra, Cascais and Cabo da Roca. So if you're travelling by car, you can visit any of these places within 30 min driving. I can definitely recommend this place.

The decor throughout the property is charming, with some wonderful touches that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. You can tell thought has been put into the aesthetic, making the surroundings feel special and unique. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the fantastic pool area. It was a real bonus, offering a great spot to cool off and unwind, perfect for sunny Sintra afternoons. And let's not forget the breakfast – it was very nice! A good start to each day, offering a pleasant selection to fuel our adventures.

I have just come back from staying in this boutique BnB for 5 nights and really loved it. The room was wonderful and clean and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. I agree with the last review that the race track is very noisy when you are relaxing by the pool but it is difficult to plan your visit as these were practice days. My husband loved it as you can walk down to the race track and watch them!!. We didn't have a car and arrived in Sintra by train from Lisbon and used Uber who were very efficient and not too expensive. We adapted our routine also from laying by the pool in the morning and going out about lunchtime and staying out until 8-9pm so avoiding too many uber journeys. It was also easy to get the Uber direct to the amazing palaces. The chapel has been beautifully converted into a relaxing lounge bar and the gins were amazing. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay but as it only opened earlier this year they just need to tweak things a little.

perfect 10! Room was very comfortable, with cool decorations, great AC, fast WIFI, very clean. Free coffee and tea in the lounge is great bonus. The small garden is great for relaxing with beautiful vagatation. Hospitality of Jorge the manager was out of this world! He went out of his way to make me comfortable, helped me with finding cheap and good eats, assisted with some weird requests I had.. and he has endless stories about his life and Portugal, we talked for hours. If you want to visit Belém area this is the perfect spot.

It was wonderful, very relaxing but also in walking distance of the main street. Our room was on the first floor with a balcony, we sat out most evening to relax after sightseeing. Wifi was good, room was cleaned everyday, fresh towels when needed. There is a small fridge in the room, great for keeping water and wine cool. A free coffee machine in the reception area, which was easy to use. We was met on arrival by the owner, who showed us around, very helpful about local information. Its about 10/15 minutes walk to train station, you can go into the city Lisbon or to the beautiful beach of Cascais. 5 minute walk from local bus stops. Also 8 minute walk to pick up the local sightseeing open top bus.

I loved our stay in Belém thanks to our awesome accommodations at the Geronimo House and our host George. It was located outside the main city of Lisbon but convienent to the main attractions in Belém, the river, restaurants and all public transportation. We could walk 5 minutes to the famous Pastel de Belém, The Monastery and the the Statue of the Discoverers. We were in a quiet little neighborhood where we felt right at home in George’s comfy home. Our rooms on the second floor had a balcony to look out on the backyard gardens and the river. George was a welcoming host and gave us many recommendations. I was sorry we had to leave after 3 nights. We hope to come back.

Jorge and Ricardo have a wonderful property and Jorge is a wonderful host. We spent time talking with him, learning some history of Portugal and just some stories he cared to share. The backyard is so tranquil you would find it hard to believe you are in the heart of Belem (a very touristy area). There is a wine bar, sandwich place that is amazing and inexpensive, a little coffee truck with great staff and products and park all within walking distance. It would be nice to have a small breakfast selection as there isn't a lot of restaurants close for a breakfast. Lunch and dinner/supper absolutely! Debbie and Shannon

Geronimo Guesthouse is like a home away from home. The warm welcome we received was exceptional. Staff went out of their way to give us recommendations on local restaurants and places to visit. The garden area is a little bit of paradise with the biggest avocado tree I have ever seen. Four cats roam the property and all guests must be approved by them which made me smile. The room was perfect, clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed. Quiet area considering it's location by a school. To visit Belem, it was the ideal spot with trams and most Belem touristic sites 5 minutes away.

The vibe from the moment of arrival, where the hosts took our bags upstairs to the room and found us a private parking spot to leave our hire car, was beyond expectations. the apartment was spotlessly clean and more than comfortable. A welcome pack including beers and wine got the trip off to a great start. Nearby supermarket allowed us to stock up on supplies and we had our first evening supper on the balcony, which is an amazing sun trap. Finished a bottle of wine and got a very cheap taxi into Cascais to go to the Jazz club. A very relaxing place to stay that is away from the hub bub, but close enough to walk to the beaches if required. Great hosts who were on hand if needed. I would recommend if you want to get away from it all and have peace and quiet

It is a very spacious and comfortable apartment. The bed is amazing and the apartment has everything you need. It is quiet at night and it’s just a 15 minute walk to the city center. You’re close to praia do sul. The view is out of this world if you love sunsets and the ocean, but who doesn’t?! The owner Rui is an amazing and welcoming host. He’s very helpful and has a lot of fun tips (restaurants, activities etc.) A must stay if you want to visit Ericeira.

Rui, our host, is very courteous and helpful, explaining all the features and facilities available within the apartment and complex. He also gave recommendations for local restaurants and bakery Clean, bright and spacious apartment with secure underground car parking with lift & stair access. There is a balcony with views to the ocean from the large living dining area. Home from home with all appliances including microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher washing machine and clothes horse for drying clothes on the small balcony of the kitchen provided. When the doors are open from either balcony you can hear the crashing surf. Highly recommend staying at the Ericeira Sunset Apartment, which is close to the beach and boardwalk to the town centre

Great place and very sociable owner with a good sense of humor. The apartment is beautiful, it has a spacious balcony with a gorgeous view of the ocean and the city. You can admire the sunsets for hours. Inside there is everything you might need, the bed and sofa in the living room are comfortable, no problems with hot water or wi-fi. There is a parking under the building and you get a personal place for your car, it's very convenient. Ericeira is a 30-minute walk from the house, along the beautiful ocean. It was easy to visit Sintra, Lisbon, Cascais from here, but at the same time we lived in a quiet, peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle of big cities. We had an excellent stay at this apartment. It was very well-equipped, and we had everything we needed. The two balconies were perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset. We also appreciated the underground parking space. The apartment is within walking distance to the beach, which is also very beautiful. The host was very accommodating, explained everything upon our arrival, and was always available with great tips throughout our stay. He was very friendly and attentive. We loved staying in the apartment and want to express our sincere thanks.

The gardens are spectacular and the apartment was very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our short stay. The jacuzzi tub was the perfect thing after walking around Sintra for hours. Antonio is the perfect host and very responsive. We would love to stay again.

Great accommodation, highly recommend. Antonia is an exceptional host, very professional, engaged, helpful and friendly! The accommodation is beautiful, very clean, tasteful; had everything we needed. The bedding was very comfortable and the shower facilities great. It's very tranquil and peaceful, great to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. We loved the garden. The pool works perfectly, it's a bit shallow but great to cool down. Our teenage kids had lots of fun playing in it for ages. Location is easiest to get to by Uber (if you don't have a rental car). Rides are so reasonable in price, and wait time no longer than 5 mins. Perfect! Supermarket and places to eat are close by; we had dinner at Retiro da Mina, which was very good. Place feels local and friendly. The café Folha de Cha was totally fine, we had some snacks during the day.

We loved this place, super comfy, quiet and calm, but close to Lisbon. Owner is super friendly and helpful. The little town itself has great restaurants and some cafes too, plus nice gardens.

The host was super nice and welcoming. I had an upgrade of my Room. The jacuzzi was very nice.

The owner, Rosa, does everything to make you feel at home. The property is extremely clean and the location to restaurants and the beach are fantastic! It is located in a square of many different restaurants and a grocery store is located in the Riviera hotel just next door to the property. It is also close to the train station. For students like myself, It is an easy scenic 15-20 minute walk to NOVA University Business School, where you can enjoy beautiful views and waterfront bars and restaurants. Rosa is the chef of the delicious seafood restaurant located just below. She would leave fresh homemade snacks in the evenings. An Espresso machine with nice coffee, fresh fruits, little cakes and cookies are also provided. These little touches made my stay feel like I was visiting my family, feel safe and comfortable.

Rosa was very helpful and friendly at any time. Location was best of all the hotels I stayed at (I stayed at 3 different hotels during my stay in caravelos) There were many restaurants in looking distance from the balcony. Very cozy balcony overlooking lively area. Room was clean and nice decor. Water and snacks in the common area that were free to take was amazing as well. Shared bathroom was clean and abundance of towels made me feel very welcomed : ))

The apartment is located above an excellent seafood restaurant. I strongly recommend a dinner there. The apartment itself is, while not the newest, very well maintained, kept immaculately clean and all accessories (air condition, refrigerator) in perfect working conditions. The host is attentive, quick to respond to any requests and willing to accommodate them. All in all a great place for a short or longer getaway. Walking distance to the beach, shopping center across the street, multiple restaurants in the square below the apartment, public transport nearby, Uber available... All in all, a wonderful stay.

Staying at Atlantic Waves Accommodation ~ Carcavelos Beach was the best possible choice. Booked accidentally due to lack of places in a nearby hotel, it turned out to be a hit. Rosa - the owner is a unique person - in addition to managing the accommodation, she is the chef in the restaurant next to the hotel. Despite many responsibilities and constant work, she found time to ask us if everything was okay, if we needed anything, provided water to drink and small snacks. The shrimp at her restaurant were delicious! If you expect something more than a hotel atmosphere, this is the place for you. The hotel is in a great location - delicious breakfasts in the cafeteria next door, a dozen or so restaurants to choose from, 5 minutes' walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the train, from where you can easily get to Lisbon or Cascais. I recommend a unique stay at Rosa's Accomodation!

It was a lovely house with an inner garden where we had our coffee. The room and bathroom are both nice, stylish and clean. We stayed there in November, and it was not hot and not cold; otherwise, there was no heater or air conditioner. We used the kitchen, which had everything we needed, including an oven and fridge. The house is very quiet. The host was welcoming, and we saw her only when we left. Check-in and check-out were both easy. We found a safe parking lot nearby for free (1 min to walk from the house).

The house is conveniently located near Cascais, and we were always able to find parking very close by. The property itself is beautiful. However, guest access is limited to the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. It's worth noting that all these areas were exceptionally clean. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. We were also able to use a section of the refrigerator, which was a nice bonus. The host was pleasant and welcoming, though communication was sometimes a little challenging due to a language barrier.

This was a very clean and comfortable guest house. It was quiet too. Wi-Fi connection available. Lovely shower. Parking very close by for our hire van. Local eateries in walking distance.
