This is a very elegant hotel. Everything screams luxury from the decor in the reception area, bars, restaurants and even the rest rooms (Molton Brown products). Double Rooms are spacious with sittings area, large queen bed and high end bathroom with walk-in shower. Again Molton Brown products & dressing gowns. I will say the lighting either side of the bathroom mirror was excellent for applying makeup. No air conditioning but the large fan in each room is adequate if the weather is warm. No fridge or mini bar but the tea & coffee are Taylor’s of Harrogate. Staff very friendly and most helpful. Beautiful grounds to walk and Aldwark village has a mapped ramble which is just outside the Estate. The hotel is set within a golf course, manicured to perfection with lakes and fountains, seen from the outside terrace with comfy patio seating. Breakfast over looking the golf course was excellent. A menu with all cooked options from full English to Smoked Haddock & poached eggs, there was something for everyone’s taste and all tasted amazing. Options for vegetarian & vegan too. Cold buffet was fresh and unlimited. The leisure & Spa was being refurbished during our stay but if it’s at the same standard as the hotel then it should not disappoint.

We stayed at the hotel for one night in a standard room with a balcony. Check in was really straight forward and we received a very warm welcome. A member of staff collected our bags and delivered them to our room while someone else showed us around the ground floor. We visited the Squadron Bar for coffee and drinks which was wonderful. We also visited the health club which was so quiet and very relaxing. We ordered room service and were really surprised by how quickly the food arrived. It was delicious, very fresh and service was amazing. The vegan chocolate brownie was the best dessert I have ever eaten. Breakfast was great as was the service and check out was very straight forward. We’ve visited the hotel several times but this was the first visit since the refurbishment and change of ownership and the difference is unbelievable. Such an improvement. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back for a visit very soon.

Visited this hotel several times previously for long weekends and we always have a nice break, The hotel is in transition at present the latest being the spa and leisure facility being updated and therefore not in use. Room was good with all the facilities you would expect from a hotel of this stature, including a comfy bed. The hotel is set in a brilliant location surrounded by the countryside views that you never get fed up with. Food in the restaurant was also good, breakfast can other be from the Buffett or ordered from the menu. Staff outstanding as ever, pleasant and courteous always happy to help. Bunkers bar which is a separate area for the golfers is also pleasant to have a drink or eat in, especially in the afternoon sun. The one big negative for this hotel is the bar prices that are very expensive. The biggest winners are the pub in the village, which is full of hotel guests in the evening.

From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out it was outstanding! The atmosphere, the service, the actual place were all perfect, the staff were all friendly and very professional, the room was gorgeous, clean, well stocked, wonderful view, the stay was just perfect.

Excellent few days away, all staff restaurant and bar were helpful and friendly. Room was lovely clean and large with lovely decoration and views! Excellent food

Room was very clean and comfortable, Loved the jacuzzi bath when we had hot water. courtyard was very quiet and a nice touch to the outside space off the bedroom . Breakfast was lovely The lady at reception was very helpful and friendly.

A really enjoyable stay. The room was beautifully decorated with great attention to detail and there was a jacuzzi bath and a walk in shower. The bed was super comfy and huge. The breakfast was very good and we will definitely be returning to this lovely place.

The room was so spacious for our family of 4, the jacuzzi bath was an added bit of luxury which we all got to enjoy. The host was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely book again in the future. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Our mid week stay was fantastic. We made the most of the indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, sauna and steam. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and restaurant staff were very attentive to make sure our needs were met.

The room was excellent, amazing sun terrace and personal jacuzzi very well maintained grounds. Loved the style of a sharing platter for breakfast and food in general was very well presented.

Beautiful hotel with lots of charm and character. Very hospitalble staff who know the meaning of hospitality. Quirky and interesting decor and art throughout. Comfy beds, warm, cosy and super quiet. Outdoor jacuzzi, indoor sauna and monsoon showers were great.

Beautiful location and fantastic grounds. We were blessed with good weather so able to enjoy the outdoor pool and jacuzzi overlooking lovely countryside. Staff were friendly helpful but bit intrusive. Food was excellent!

The wishing well suite was amazing, beautifully decorated and really special with the jacuzzi bath. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff were all brilliant

We stayed in the Wishing Well king bedroom suite with spa bath. Could not fault the room spec or attention to detail. Very impressed with the layout of the spacious spa room with its own en-suite shower room and loo. The Spa bath is enormous and thoughtfully provided with lots of essential oils and lotions. Plenty of towels and little touches. There was lots and lots of hot water and above all it all worked and was very clean. The main room was cosy with very funky decor and the mini bar was stocked with lots of bar snacks and drinks the choice was brilliant , right up to Pol Roger champers if you fancied it! We ate at the pub in the evening which was lovely and again for breakfast. The selection for brekkie was amazing! Particularly the home made croissants! This night away was a birthday treat and a much needed weekend to refresh after a stressful year. Highly recommended.

Our recent stay at The Queen's Arms was delightful. This charming countryside inn, located in the picturesque Lambourn Valley, exceeded our expectations in every way. We were truly impressed by the restaurant. The food was delicious, offering a delightful menu of traditional British dishes. The setting was lovely, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complemented the culinary experience. Dining here was an absolute pleasure, and the value for money was outstanding. Our accommodations were equally outstanding. The hotel room was comfortable, well-appointed with toiletreries, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The inclusion of a delicious breakfast with a lot of choices was making it excellent value for money.

I loved my stay, the room was delightful and had everything I needed. Comfy Bed and a nice selection of teas and coffees. The pub food was amazing and the bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was made with very fresh produce, it was tasty and a terrific start to the day.

Everything. The staff were amazing, very friendly and welcoming. We booked this last minute instead of a Premier Inn (there is no comparison!) as we were literally passing through and saw a good price on Booking. We didn't know what to expect but this place didn't disappoint and so glad we found it. We felt right at home. We stayed in a standard double which had a super comfy bed, nice clean decoration and great facilities in room with streaming available on TV. Good wifi. Warm and cosy. Wished we had stayed longer than one night. The view was perfect with the sea visible. Bathroom clean with an excellent walk in shower. There is a beautiful bar and restaurant available on site so you don't even need to venture outside the hotel if you wanted a relaxing escape from a busy schedule. Nearby there is a nice coastal route to explore within walking distance and if you fancy a change, it is only 5 minutes drive into Berwick with lots of pubs and restaurants available. Breakfast was included and offered a cooked full English/Scottish option and continental buffet. Would definitely recommend and can not wait to come back. Thank you.

The staff from start to finish were amazing. The room was perfect and so comfortable and big. They loved having the dog with me and treated the dog as well as myself? Water bowl in room upon arrival, a little welcome box of treats for dog. Views onto the garden area at the front. Perfect areas to walk the dog. Dog was welcomed in the restaurant and bar area. Cocktail bar was lovely and relaxed, with a nice sofa in front of the lovely Christmas tree. Had a pre dinner drink in the bar where I had come complimentary canapes and a drink. They also were aware it was my birthday and gave me a free drink. Dinner was amazing- had two courses. Ribeye steak was A+. Went back to the bar for a couple of more drinks before a end of night dog-walk around the grounds and bed. Breakfast next morning was lovely and they came out with a sausage for the dog so she was not left out!

Helpful, professional, friendly staff made our stay so enjoyable. Hotel is set in spacious well kept grounds, rooms are immaculately clean and well serviced. Restaurant food was delicious and the breakfasts were tasty with lots of choice. My daughter and I had a very relaxing stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Character full Manor House with tastefully decorated interior that combines modern tones of colour with original and traditional aspects. The large windows permit a sweeping of view of the lush grounds and sea. The staff were exceptional, thoughtful and helpful. Check-in flawless, where we were shown directly to our room (wonderful touch that has been somewhat lost from the hotelier world). This was in addition to a courtesy call a few days earlier to check all was correct with our booking and offer an opportunity for additional reservations; impressive. The rooms were spacious, perfectly clean, extremely comfortable with every facility one could need thoughtfully provided. The main reason for giving 10/10 is the exceptional service received. Reception and the restaurant teams were absolutely faultless and had a really personal vibe. We would book again based on the experience & the fact they also went the extra mile for our pup! Also it’s rare to find outdoor jacuzzi pools that are actually warm enough so never change it, it makes all the difference at a spa :) also amazing food/chef.

The hotel is located in a beautiful estate. It has spacious gardens where you can sit and enjoy the tranquility. Our unit was well-sized and included two rooms which enabled us to stay together as a family while it didn’t feel crowded. The rooms were very clean, the beds are very comfortable. There were complementary tea, coffee and even yummy brownies! The heated pool is lovely as is the jacuzzi and they are open 12 hours which gives you lots of flexibility in terms of when you want to use them. The staff is friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast is delicious with lots of choice. We also booked dinner at the Olio restaurant which was delicious. The dining conservatory is gorgeous, overlooking the estate and surrounded by beautiful plants. We also did lovely walks, departing from the hotel by foot - highly recommended! (there’s a helpful booklet in the room with a map and suggested local walks).

The staff were really friendly & helpful, we were shown around upon arrival and our room was ready early! The room was beautiful, clean and had everything you could possibly need (including Smeg kettle & coffee machine). There were brownies in our room upon arrival which was a lovely gesture too! Bed was seriously comfy, we both had great nights sleep. The spa facilities are on the smaller side to some others we’ve been to but still perfectly useful with everything you could need: outdoor jacuzzi, outdoor swimming pool, indoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room & plenty of seating indoors/outdoor. The spa is also really well kept, tidy & clean. It is about 15 mins away from Bath so we tied our stay in with visiting Bath for the first time. There is also car parking which was great. An all round lovely experience, we couldn’t fault it!

Beautiful hotel with really comfy rooms. Massive bed that is so relaxing, large bathroom and sitting area. Spa was great, treatment very relaxing and amazing weather really helped! Reception staff superb, really helpful and friendly. Food for dinner and breakfast really good ... waiting staff for dinner a little eccentric which will polarise either way! Only dislikes were the old man style robes in room and must be the only luxury hotel where the flipflops are kept, cleaned and re-used. Overall a really relaxing stay and somewhere that you'd want to return

We stayed here while our son was in the ICU following heart surgery, and the experience truly exceeded our expectations during a very difficult time. The staff consistently went above and beyond to support us, helping us feel as comfortable and cared for as possible under the circumstances. Due to the nature of our situation, we stayed in several different rooms over the course of our visit, and each one was spacious, clean, and offered lovely views. On our final night, we stayed in the adaptable room with our son, which was exceptionally well designed. Features like the full-length mirror, remote-controlled curtains, and fully accessible bathroom made a real difference and reflected thoughtful attention to detail. The restaurant staff were incredibly accommodating when we explained our son's need for space away from others. They found us a comfortable, quiet spot where he could feel at ease, and we were genuinely grateful for that level of care. Small touches like the canned water, coffee bags, and various eco-friendly solutions were much appreciated and added to the overall sense of a well-considered and welcoming environment. Thank you to everyone who made our stay a little easier—we’ll always remember the kindness shown to us during such a challenging time.

Perfect location for our stay. A comfortable stroll to the de-montfort hall for 2 nights of concerts by the mighty MARILLION! Spotlessly clean room, lovely big comfy bed & all the creature comforts anyone would need including tea, coffee, water & toiletries. Fantastic breakfast & lovely modern areas in the hotel to relax. Polite & attentive staff. Everything was perfect for us & if we ever re-visit Leicester will definitely stay again. Good value for money. Keep up the good work.

Hotel is in a great location with a 15 minute walk in to town. Great for families visiting with students nearby as a 10 minute walk to Uni. Spent some time in the bar which we all loved. Modern decor, comfy seats and good atmosphere - also delicious cocktails which went down well. Breakfast was ok, could do with more veggie options, a veggie sausage would have been good. Room was ok - I say ok as it wasn’t that clean it was clear that the carpet had not been hoovered. However room was a good size and bed comfy. You might ask why I didn’t complain at the time - I was there to enjoy time with my daughter who was graduating and didn’t want to waste time with this. Shouldn’t really have to complain either if paying £150 a night, it should be a given that the room is properly cleaned. However, this is a lovely hotel, I would stay again, I think this must have been a blip. All staff we met were lovely.

We stayed here for one night only and what a brilliant hotel this is and we can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The staff in reception were very welcoming and friendly. We had asked for an early check in, and the staff were so accommodating and we were extremely grateful to check-in early so that we could get ready for the wedding we were attending. Our room was so stylish with really nice furnishings, and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was really good with lots of choice. There is also a really good bar. Such a lovely, stylish hotel overall with friendly staff and a really comfortable stay. We would love to come back

The perfect spot to enjoy a bit of luxury before a weekend of camping. Huge fans of everything here, the rooms are great to match the fantastic friendly service and fantastic food. We stayed in a Luxury Suite previously but went for a Garden Suite this time and can highly recommend both, although being in the grounds probably gets our winning vote. If we had anything to suggest it would be making the upstairs bar area a little more welcoming and cosy, it just felt a little too much like a temporary holding area. That said everything else was brilliant. Its great to see all the food being prepared and how proud everyone is of what they're doing. If you like little touches such as fresh milk and homemade cookies in your room, and being looked after with a genuine smile on top of everything else then this could be right up your street.

Gorgeous hotel, our room was superb - very spacious and comfortable. Huge comfortable bed and big bathroom with beautiful free standing bath and large powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice on the menu and the staff were friendly and professional. Stayed for a treat on our last night on way home from holiday in Cornwall - wish we could have stayed longer!

There were so many plus points about this stay . 1 the accommodation is gorgeous masses of space and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches . 2 the staff are wonderful there super friendly and helpful . 3 The food we had lunch and breakfast was really tasty . There were a few issues which stopped us marking it perfect . 1 it was a warm day so we didn’t try the hot tub till the evening . There was no temp on it but it wasn’t very hot. It had hair in it seemed dirty . We also got bombarded with flies the minute we got in so only in it ten mins . We paid extra £40 for that so I would say not worth it . 2 We paid for breakfast included in the stay . We went at 9 and they had already run out of mushrooms . We also asked for toast but that didn’t materialise . 3 when checking out we were told we had a bill for £82 which we queried as breakfast was included and had paid our lunch bill separately and didn’t eat there in the evening due to it being quite pricy . They said that would sort it but felt very awkward as had paid upfront for the room . All in all it’s a beautiful place quite remote and a good 20 mins to any kind of beach or eating facilities but gorgeous accommodation .

The hotel exceeded our expectations, excellent reception staff friendly welcoming and efficient. We stayed in a garden room which was well equipped, clean and quiet, breakfast was very good. The only negative was the lack of options for dinner, if you do not want a 3 rosette dinner , the food on the night we ate was not 3 rosette. Such a shame that they do not offer a couple of simple dishes, if they had we would have eaten on each night of our stay.

The lodge was spacious very modern and very well maintained. The hot tub outside was a gem we arrived it was windy and raining but the hot tub stay very hot indeed even after staying in it for over 2 hours it was still hot. The huge bath tub inside is huge and is insulated. The whole room was a hidden gem in the country side. Staff was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast in the coach house was very nice. An open space with luxury at it's best. We will be staying here again in the near future.

I've stayed at the Swan more than once before and that is a recommendation in itself. The bedrooms are beautiful, comfortable, very clean and pleasant smelling with a luxurious bath and one of the biggest most comfortable beds that can be found at any price range; they even have comfortable pillows - so rare in most hotels/guest houses. Downstairs, the bar is lovely with one or two open fires depending on the weather. Very lovely helpful bar staff and acoustics that allow you to talk to your partner. So why did I only give it four stars you may ask? Answer: they need to do much better at vegan or diary-free options both at dinner and breakfast. Such small changes are needed to take it from really lovely to nearly perfect. I wish I could have awarded them 4.5 but there is no such option. Surely it is not so hard to have some vegan butter, vegan pastries or whatever so that the breakfast is not quite so dull.

It was our second stay at this Inn. Every room is different and we loved both our rooms. This room was very spacious, with a big, comfy bed and a bathtub. It was bright and friendly and tastfully decorated. Staff was friendly and food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious. Breakfast was simple and continental, but that was ok for us.

My husband and I love the Cotswolds and we often drive the 3 hours journey from Essex to visit and have lunch in à country pub.After some internet search we found this place and went for Sunday lunch a few days ago and we weren’t disapointed!The Swan inn is everything a traditional Cotswolds pub should be…it’s been sympathetically restored with beautiful decor giving a welcoming and cozy feel and has a lovely courtyard garden with an outdoor bar/ kitchen where you can get grilled food too.The food was delicious and the service was faultless .Our waiter Luca was both friendly and knowledgable and served me the best Pimm’s I could wish for with all the “trimmings”.We also met Danny the very friendly manager and chatted about how he left London recently after 22 years of living there with his wife (who also work at the pub) to start a new life in the Cotswolds running the Swan. We really enjoyed our time at the Swan and we’ll definitely be back!All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful and we wish Danny and his wife every success and happiness in the Cotswolds.

The epitome of something I didn’t think existed anymore. A great British pub. Only stayed for one night but arrived and had a fabulous welcome from Declan and Luca. Shown to our room which was great. We had the entry-level room which was more than substantial. Bed extremely comfy, fantastic bedlinen and immaculate throughout. We ate dinner in the garden, which that particular evening was a barbecue. Again great quality tasty food. Danny, the manager came up and told us all about the menu and what a lovely guy. Very knowledgeable about all the wines on the list and seemed to really love the fact he had moved out of London and was managing such a little gem as The Swan. The pub was full of mainly locals who were welcoming and friendly. After a great night sleep, we had a brilliant breakfast with delicious fresh ingredients and probably one of the best coffees I’ve had for ages . Thanks to everyone involved at the Swan we loved it and if we ever come back to that area, we will definitely visit again.

If visiting Highclere Castle or even close to Newbury….You MUST stay here. Our experience after canceling reservation at another Location (they didn’t have AC) has been amazing! Reservations were efficient. The photos on light do not show haw charming this Inn really is. Our adventure starts at the train station where Richard picked us up in his local taxi. Not only did he take us The Furze Bush he waited while we dropped off our luggage before heading over to Highclere Castle. He said we could call him, and he would gladly pick us up when we were finished our tour. He did just that returned us to the Inn and nothing but exceptional service at the Inn. The restaurant had a “non- boring” menu, so it made dinner choices difficult. Everything was delicious and the 2 young lads who waited on us could not have been more charming, funny and personable. Our room was spotless, and the slipper bathtub was amazing. My last night of vacation included a hot soak in this amazing treat. Next morning (we only stayed one night) we called Richard to see if he would drive us to Heathrow. Agan, more exceptional service. Our only regret we didn’t stay longer…..but for sure we will be back and will tell everyone this place is EXCEPTIONAl!

Lovely country pub in fabulous location for our visit to Highclere. We had booked the larger room and it was comfortable with everything we needed. The staff here are exceptional, attentive and welcoming. We had a 3 course meal in the restaurant which was delicious and good value. Fabulous atmosphere in restaurant and bar. Breakfast made to order was excellent quality and a larger than expected. Highly recommend.

Beautiful location, really good restaurant for dinner and an excellent breakfast. Bedroom, shower and loo were spotless, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, also an iron and ironing board! Staff were so welcoming, very friendly and helpful with directions etc. It was a really good stay.

We stayed for one night in the big room in front . What a lovely room big everything you needed ,clean with a sofa and bed . The best bed ive slept in for ages ,the bathroom was lovely as well huge bath and great shower . We went down for dinner and a few drinks well what can i say it was amazing ,the staff were amazing very impressed they were brilliant helpful and interested in us and we had everything we needed . Thank you guys ... breakfast was also amazing plenty of it to set us up for the day please dont change anything .

Nice character pub comfortable bedroom with double bed very clean with air conditioning which helped as hot weather. Peaceful at night. Adequate bathroom shower was small with shower head attachment not adjustable for height. It's good to have soap and shower gel available. Tea was available in our room with iron and board in the cupboard. Food options and times for breakfast were very good. Nice friendly staff.

Right from arrival at the gates the staff knew our names, nothing was too much trouble, they aknowledged our special occision, Prosecco on arrival and a full tour of the hotel before being shown to our room . Hottub was absolutely perfect for us to relax in the storm!

The staff was great, very helpful and polite. The spa was not very big but very nice, with a decent size swimming-pool, steam room, jacuzzi, and access to the pub.

What a fantastic building this is, a previous town hall, court and university building. Decoration and design is amazing. Room was very clean. Kettle and Nespresso machine included. Can cast your mobile to TV. Vegan toiletries in lovely shower included. Free parking 6pm to 8am outside hotel and two slow electric charger points. Breakfast was great and staff friendly and helpful. Took soya intolerance serious and double signed off that vegan breakfast without sausages was acceptable. If you have allergies you will be safe here. Breakfast uses the Marco Pierre White restaurant in the fantastic dome room. Had already eaten but noticed the restaurant had a full vegan menu I had not seen advertised on website. Overall, classy, friendly, professional, great value for money. A few minutes walk to town centre so great location as well. A must stay.

What a lovely grand hotel full of history. We stayed for 2 nights in this lovely hotel which is very central to the old town of Durham (Castle, Cathedral etc) Our room was spacious, clean, beds were comfy and overall very nice.(2 x queen + bath and there was only two of us ) Dinner in the restaurant was very nice and the breakfast was excellent.Restaurant staff and bar staff were keen to help as was Helen on reception who was very helpful when we booked the hotel and extremely helpful resolving a minor issue caused by the arrogance or/and laziness of the blonde girl at reception when we made a request. It turns out Helen only works Sundays so we were blessed to speak to her when we made our booking and have her resolve our minor issue as it also happened to be a Sunday. Looking forward to our next visit. Tip: As a matter of point I do not like places that automatically add 12.5% to your restaurant bill. The young lady who served us was exceptional and deserved our full tip. We asked for the 12.5% to be romoved which she did and we then gave the young lady the same amount in cash.

Visited Durham for a visit to the city as we had heard good things about it. TheIndigo hotel came up on a Secret Escapes Deal at £119 for the night including breakfast and a free cocktail and 25% off in their Marco Pierre White restaurant which we didn’t use. The room was modern with a king size bed, two easy chairs and plenty of storage. There was a Nespresso coffee machine and the usual kettle etc. the bathroom was of a good size with a walk-in shower but no bath. The shower was brilliant with good pressure. The hotel is quite new and the building used to be the council offices and has been tastefully converted to a hotel. Breakfast the following morning was excellent with a full range of cooked options served to your table, with a buffet choice of fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses. Couldn’t fault it as the hot food was freshly prepared for you as you ordered. The staff were very friendly throughout the hotel and they obviously enjoy their work. The hotel is very close the the city and all its attractions I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I couldn’t fault it. Well done everyone involved. I stayed at Hotel Indigo on Friday night and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Katie on the front desk gave me such a warm welcome and explained everything I needed to know about my stay. The hotel interior is stunning, with a perfect blend of historical features and stylish modern touches – from stained glass windows to grand staircases. My room was well equipped with a super comfy bed, a Nespresso machine, and probably the best shower I’ve ever had in a hotel! Breakfast the next morning was excellent – a lovely continental spread and an impressive à la carte menu, all served with a smile from Lindsay and her team. Before checking out, I visited the hotel’s coffee shop, where the ladies were really friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my coffee and cake in the sunny outdoor seating area, which was a lovely touch. The central location is ideal – just a short walk from the city centre. Overall, I felt incredibly well looked after and would definitely return.

Very good central hotel conveniently located next to the station but without the noise you might expect. Rooms are spacious, a nice temperature and excellent shower. Quality toiletries, iron, ironing board and a very well equipped kitchenette. Bed was crisp, clean, comfortable and plenty of usb ports to stay charged. Downstairs in the lobby there’s plenty to keep you fed and hydrated if you need to buy some food or refreshments. Breakfast is buffet style with full English, continental or grab and go if you’re in a hurry. Staff are very helpful. Directions from the station on google maps is strange so ignore those and take the exit to the far left and down the steps and hotel entrance is on the right

The pub and restaurant the food was really lovely. Unfortunately I didn't have time to try the jacuzzi but it was a nice touch. Welcome pack was a nice thought but a small pint of milk in the fridge would be an extra touch.

This was our second stay at The Baiting House, and we loved it just as much as the first time! It’s the perfect place to completely switch off and relax. The lodges with hot tubs are beautifully equipped, super comfortable, and have everything you need for a cosy getaway. The location feels wonderfully peaceful and remote, yet it's only 20–30 minutes from plenty of great places to explore. The guest book in the lodge is full of brilliant recommendations too, which is really helpful. The on-site restaurant is absolutely fantastic—the food was incredible! I had the beef and my boyfriend had the lamb, and both dishes were exceptional. Breakfast was just as delicious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and they really help make the stay feel special. We honestly can’t wait to come back again!

We received a warm welcome from the male receptionist. We arrived at 13.00 and our room was ready, which was great. We unpacked had a light lunch, then enjoyed an hour in the spa. We were so relaxed we could have fallen asleep, but we soldiered on. We had our 29th wedding anniversary to enjoy. We got ready and headed to the bar for some pre dinner drinks. The staff were young, friendly and good at their job. The restaurant was full and very loud! The lighting was a bit harsh, too, but that's the only negatives. I ordered breads to start, which were delicious, then the sirloin with brandy peppercorn sauce. Excellent! Cooked how I like it. We couldn't handle a dessert, so we took our bottle of wine to our room and enjoyed a good night's sleep in a comfy bed. The shower was great with the added bonus of a bath. I enjoyed a long soak with some bath oil I bought for the occasion. Woke up refreshed. Took a pre breakfast walk which was invigorating and set us up for brekkie. The breakfast buffet was amazing. So much choice. Good fresh ingredients. I'd highly recommend this hotel. Wish we could have stayed another night but had to head home. Thank you

Beautiful hotel, all staff had a smile on their faces and always greeted us. It made the experience great being made to feel so welcome. Food (Breakfast and Dinner) absolutely delicious and although expensive was definitely worth it. Did have a slight issue with having a few hard pieces in my Venison croquette which did slightly spoil my starter- the waiter was very polite and was very sorry, but I do think a refund for that dish would have been more appropriate. Lamb dish for main was one of the most tasteful dishes I've eaten in a very long time, 10*. Spa area is very clean and relaxing, not over booked with guests so plenty of space to use all facilities. I added extras to my room ballon, rose petals, 'Happy birthday' brownies, all were really well presented and made the stay extra special. Buffet style hot breakfast perfect for us as we could just select what we like. Overall amazing experience with beautiful views and ideal location- will 100% definitely be back! Extra note; Reception team couldn't do enough to help you, my phone charger broke during stay and they were very happy to let me borrow one. Very kind staff.

View from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast included and was brilliant, plenty of food options for everyone and attentive service. Spa facilities included with the stay were wonderfully relaxing!

Cosy clean and quiet lovely grounds to explore. Self serve breakfast was clean and wide variety of food to choose from. Bed was soft and comfortable. Room had great facilities inside. Lighting was well thought out and executed in the room we stayed in. Only had breakfast so please bare that in mind. Would return for a fair price without a doubt.

The location was easy to find & perfect for going to the event we had tickets for. The rooms were beautifully appointed and are glazed in such a way that none of the music from the wedding party could be heard. There is ample parking including a dedicated area for EV charging. The staff very very polite and helpful. The breakfast was included and was all fresh and nicely cooked in a buffet style so you could have what ever you liked. Everything was clean and well maintained. I also liked you could go for a walk in the grounds/ local footpaths and see the various animals.

Room was clean and bathroom was very spacious and modern. We were located close to the venue and restaurant which was convenient. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of choice

This is the first time we have stayed in a IHG hotel and we left very impressed. We chose it for its excellent location. It’s next to the shops, restaurants and the cathedral. We had a corner suite which was very nice. Very quiet with lovely views of the cathedral. Room was spacious with lots of storage space. Room had both a kettle and coffee machine. Lots of teas and coffees provided as well as fresh milk and biscuits. Nice little fridge as well. Bed was very very comfortable. Bathroom was huge with both a tub and a large walk in shower. All the staff we met at reception and breakfast were friendly and helpful. We read some negative comments about the breakfasts but cannot understand why. Our experience was great. It’s a nice breakfast area. The buffet breakfast options were very good- fresh fruit and juices. Good quality breads and fresh pastries. Good choice of cereals and cold cuts. Coffee was very good. Cooked breakfast came very quickly and quality was high - we are very fussy about how our eggs are cooked and they were perfect! In all we had a very nice relaxing stay.

Service: The staff were exceptionally polite, helpful, and kind. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and had reached out a couple of days before with a small request. The team went out of their way to accommodate it, which made our stay even more special and memorable. Spa: We booked the spa for a couple of hours and each enjoyed a relaxing back massage. Although the spa isn’t huge, there were only a few other guests using it, which made the experience calm and peaceful. Facilities include a sauna, steam room, hot tubs, and a fun interactive shower with different “weather” settings and temperatures to choose from. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommended!

Good but could be quite a bit better! The positive: Really lovely staff at the front desk and in the restaurant. Nice walkable location. Comfortable bed. Quirky and nice decor. Good coffee drinks at the restaurant. The needs improvement: Gosh, why can't there be hooks to hang the towels on? There's nowhere to put them! Restaurant: just not...very good. At a guess I'd say the quality of the raw ingredients isn't very good? I like the idea of ordering a hot breakfast but it only really works if the result is tasty. Which it never was. The "be advised if you're staying here": Our room overlooked a street where there was a busker playing for hours. This meant no peace and quiet during the day. Also, there was some really loud music til 11pm on Friday night - again - just useful to know. It is city centre, so that's for better and for worse. The "folks, you REALLY need to clean up your act": The spa, when I visited on Friday afternoon, was a disgrace. Used drinking glasses and towels everywhere. No clean towels available in the changing room. No fresh glasses for anyone wanting water (dangerous actually). No one monitoring the temperatures resulting in a steam room I'm pretty sure was dangerously hot. Some marks on one of the two hot tubs that looked suspiciously like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. All it would take is someone coming in every 20-30 minutes or so to have made it a better experience. Definitely not worth £35.

Excellent location, next to the shops and the cathedral. We had a corner suite which was fantastic. Great views of the cathedral. Very quite. Room was spacious, lovely walk in shower. Very good tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, plenty of storage space. Bed was very comfortable. Room was modern and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfasts - buffet and cooked on offer. Breakfast service was fast and well prepared.

The spa/jacuzzi type bath was a godsend and relieved many aching muscles and bones. The breakfast was diverse with choices to suit any palet or need. We were offered the room with the high bed which for me was a bit too high and the staff quickly found a more suitable room with very comfortable bed.

Moss Grove is ideally situated in the centre of Grasmere and very handy for local restaurants. The room was a really good size with a very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and separate shower too. Tea and coffee making facilities are in each room with an excellent variety of teas to choose from. We would certainly recommend to other travellers.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room very nice and clean. Balcony with view out across the village (only 2 rooms have one). Hotel does have a small free car park and is located in the village centre so not far to walk anywhere to local shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Breakfast is buffet style with a varied selection so you have to serve yourself. The 'cooked' food was scrambled eggs, sausages mushrooms and tomatoes (so a bit minimal IMO) but the Cumberland sausages were fantastic!!

On arrival met the host Louise who was very helpful and friendly, not only showing us our room, but also giving us helpful information. She gave us the bus timetable for number 2 bus to go straight into Bath which stops out the front. Louise also let us know of a nearby cafe that does great breakfast and coffee. Room was very comfortable for an enjoyable stay with plush bedding and everything you could possibly want….nice toiletries, even chocolate biscuits and alder berry drink. There were also multiple tea/coffee choices. Wifi worked well. Car parking is available free to guests at rear of property. We were lucky to be there on a Friday night when the bar is open and had a few drinks, meeting the lovely barmaid which we enjoyed chatting with. She also gave us helpful info for our day exploring the historic city centre. The actual bar/lounge area is great with lots of interesting things to look at. We were informed we could buy the fish and chips from across the corner and bring them back to eat in the lounge area and use the pubs plates, utensils etc so we did one night. A lovely stay at a lovely pub with great hosts. Would recommend to others wanting a nice pub stay in Bath.

Amazing Stay, Unforgettable Experience! We spent 2 days at this littlr hotel and every moment was fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly and helpful owner. The room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. The hotel's location is excellent, close to the city center (by bus) but situated in a quiet and peaceful area. Overall, the hotel exceeded all our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and luxurious experience. We will definitely be returning!

The Forester and Flower Double room we stayed in was, Quirky, clean and very comfy. It’s situated on a roundabout but it wasn’t noisy, it’s quiet at night, the bed was really comfortable we slept so well. We had our own en suite which was ideal, tv and hot drinks in our room. Louise was friendly & very helpful giving us any information we needed. I recommend the local chip shop right next to the B&B and the hub at the far end of Mulberry Park for an all day breakfast. If you’re taking the number 2 bus to the city and back, get an all day ticket to save you money if you’re going to make a few trips. Bath is a beautiful city to explore and has a thriving nightlife of bars and restaurants. The B&B is a 10 minute bus ride away from the city, I recommend staying there, I would happily stay there again. Thank you Louise Flower. 🌺❤️

We arrived on Friday and were welcomed by the wonderful Sarah who showed us our amazing view and gave an excellent recommendation for dinner across the road at Seafood. We enjoyed the best fish and chips so far, in the pub with a beer and a great laugh. The room was perfect, the decorations a laugh, the shower hot, the bed comfortable, the little extras (biscuits, tea, coffee, snacks) generous and the room quiet. Parking around the back was easy to find and safe. We walked in and out of Bath from the room in less than 40 minutes.

The Forestor & Flower is a quirky little gem located in a quiet suburb of Bath only 10mins from city centre. Buses across the road every 20mins to avoid central traffic & parking issues. Comfortable quiet room. We had external private bathroom which was well appointed. Very friendly helpful host. There's a bar on the premises but only open Fridays. Plenty of parking nearby. Good breakfast at "the Hub" 2 mins down the road.

Lovely hospitality,even when we arrived late on, my daughter loved the hottub, the site is beautiful.

We were welcomed by Steve in the evening, who was very lovely and supported us when we found it troubling to find the property at first. He provided all the information we required and was considerate throughout. The property was exceptional as what it looked like on the pictures. It had all the facilities that was expressed within the website and it felt very homely, even when we were away from home. It was an amazing place to spend my partners and my anniversary, with the jacuzzi and the scene of the sunset. I would go again and recommend to others in the future.

The tranquility with fabulous views from the decking area which was solidly built and safe for our two dogs to be outside but secure. Loved the slimline dishwasher as the husband hates washing up. Well equipped kitchen and fast hob and grill. If you had young children then you can give them the freedom to play safely within sight of your cabin. We loved the noise of them but wasn't overpowering either due to the distance between the play areas. Plenty of areas to walk your dogs so they can empty etc. with bins everywhere to put the poo bags too. So none have to go in your kitchen bin. Everyone seemed to have brought theirs and no barking just the odd bark and none reacting which was great. Bed was very comfy but ours had a foot end which the husband didn't care for as he is tall. Plenty of storage with nice touches of complimentary toiletries and coffee etc. until you have unpacked. I'm registered disabled but was great as level access. I just struggled with the steps going up to the entrance but was solid handrails so just took my time. I would rebook as car could be parked at the bottom of them and took my time. There are cottage type accommodation with outside seating in the old farmhouse courtyard that looked fab too. Bathroom clean and welcoming with a good-sized double shower tray. Owners are hands on with regular patrols and working around the area. Animal area was great and we enjoyed them as much as the children.

What an utterly delightful place Barker Stakes Farm is. From the moment I arrived and was warmly greeted by Sarah, I knew I'd made the right choice. My small one bedroomed cottage (original farm's converted cart shed) was wonderful. Clean, compact, tastefully decorated and really comfortable. Patio doors in the double bedroom and lounge/kitchen area led out to a patio with table and 2 chairs that overlooked a pristine garden area. All I could hear was the singing off birds all the time, really relaxing, and the single track 'no through road' outside the property was really quiet. The wider grounds themselves were lovely. Really spacious with a scattering of timber cabins tastefully located throughout. For toddlers, there are 3 really well maintained play areas and the alpacas, rabbits, etc will be a treat for them as well. Despite its wonderful isolation, Barker Stakes is really well located. Just 1.5 miles (walkable) from Pickering, 3 miles from Flamingo Land, 7 miles from Dalby Forest (Go Ape, Walking Trails, Mountain Bike Trails/hire, Visitor Centre) and a 30 minute drive from Whitby (for walkers, the Cleveland Way clifftop coastal path from Whitby to Robin Hood's Bay is a must!). Thanks again to Sarah for the welcome; I shall return with wife and granddaughter in tow at some point in the near future.

It was Modern,( Burst of blue) HOLIDAY home, decking, and hotub around the holiday home (brilliant), lovely quiet place, lovely bar, eating places(Green Room), staff welcoming and friendly, spacious place for walking , dog friendly, recycling rubbish (brilliant), very comfortable and very clean, WELCOME PACK, lovely touch 😀.

Lovely location, superb site - clean, neat, tidy and immaculately kept. We arrived out of hours and were welcomed by the site security - he was attentive and had excellent customer service skills - he checked us in promptly and provided us with all the information we needed adding he was not far away if we needed anything else. The property was spotless and welcoming and the little added extra touches were everywhere - it just kept on giving. We booked breakfast in The Missing Squirrel - lovely breakfast, clean and ambient atmosphere and lovely service (a little slow but staff member was on their own so it was fine). That night we thought we'd eat in the Green Room bar and restaurant. It was full but not packed, as the Halloween kids entertainment was in full swing. There was no where near enough staff on duty - they were rushed off their feet, sweaty and stressed - they remained lovely and courteous throughout but the food took an hour and 20 to arrive and desserts took over 30 minutes....many customers were frustrated - it was hard to watch as it was not their fault. Such a shame as the food was delicious although perhaps a little over priced. Overall an excellent venue though - a new place with plenty to offer and it certainly was 5 star accommodation.

Clean and tidy site. Space for 2 cars. Bar and Restaurant were absolutely fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Accommodation was clean and well presented. Bed was a comfy good sized double. Lounge was spacious. Outside deck and seating was nice. Kitchen had all the equipment we needed. Shower had decent power. En-suite toilet for the master bedroom and a separate family shower/toilet was nice. Nice also to have a discount when we booked again for next year.

The camp site was beautiful all the cabins are modern clean and spacious with all the latest modcom's WiFi . Bar and pool are well kept with a very beautiful modern cocktail bar and restaurant. Great kids play park and water park too.

We arrived and I was at first disappointed as I assumed that as the picture on booking com has a hot tub in it this is what accommodation I had booked, we were moved to a larger lodge with a jacuzzi bath which had a lot more space and a bigger decking area and this was perfect for our stay. The place was peaceful and we had a lovely relaxing stay.

We stayed for one night in the week , so breakfast wasn't available . But that was absolutely fine with us as I bought in myself some pastries. Couldn't fault the room with view lake was amazing n tranquil, having the hottub was extra special, I took my partner there for his 60th n he loved it . Would recommend..

Spacious rooms with all modern fittings and furnishings, bedding was fresh smelling amazing, lots of tech gadgets and a huge flat screen tv . We arrived late so couldn't see the lake until morning but watching the birds diving for their breakfast was a sight to wake up to. Great breakfast we had in our room as we had our dogs but was delicious with fresh pastries. Lovely to see all of the animals in the morning with the group of turkeys having a wonder round the car park . Alison on reception needs a big shout out to for all her help for our stress free self check in details if only every customer service had an Alison, it would be a pleasure. Some reviews bring this great place down and yes there's the odd cobweb and couple of things that yif you wanted to moan about you could but why when you have a quiet comfortable clean room for a good price, I've paid more and stopped in some awful places so ignore the bad reviews it's a great place to stay . An absolutely gorgeous hotel. We had a room with a jacuzzi bath and ensuite shower which was absolutely spotless. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Nice area only a few minutes walk to bus/tube stops. Felt completely safe as a lesbian couple. We will absolutely be staying again!

The room was very clean with space enough storage space, safe and complimentary tea / coffee. Bathroom was very clean, with shower/shampoo supplies and staff were changing towels every day. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and we had a good rest every night. Charging you electronics is made easy, as they have the usual 3 pin british plugs but also usb type A and C adaptors integrated in the plugs. Being one of the tallest buildings in the area, for rooms above floor 5, you will probably get a nice view over the traditional brick building below - we had a view directly towards Chelsea stadium at Stamford Bridge. Breakfast and restaurant/bar menus have a fair diversity and they use high quality products so you can expect food to be tasty and well prepared, Location is great, just 5 min walk to underground/overground station West Brompton on the District Line, but also close to several bus stations for easy access around town.

Comfortable Stay in a Great Location I stayed here for 3 nights and was really happy with the experience. The room was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was super convenient to the Tube with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. It felt like a great base for exploring the city. Would definitely stay here again!

A short walk to West Brompton tube station was very convenient for getting around. This neighbourhood is in a quieter location which is good if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. The room was more spacious than I was expecting and the shower was luxurious. Great value for the price.

Breakfast was amazing the bar area is so welcoming and cosy inside and out. Beautiful garden to sit and relax, lovely relaxing areas inside the hotel. The full manor is so beautiful, local to lots of different places to visit. Also have dog friendly rooms not that I own a dog! Found this little gem at the last min of booking somewhere to stay.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The comfortable room was much better than we expected as we were upgraded - we had a great view of the sea / beach from our bed! The included breakfast was extremely good, with a really wide choice of cooked and cold options. When we dined at the restaurant the food was at least as good as that served by any hotel we have stayed at and there was a decent choice from 2 menus (you could choose food from either the 'main' menu of the 'bistro' menu - even 'mix and match'). We have to make special mention of the table service staff, who were lovely, both at breakfast and dinner.

We stayed in one of the Good rooms in the converted building opposite the bar, which again had been designed really well. Everything we needed for a short stay, it was also nice and warm on a very cold weekend. We loved the toiletries in the bathroom, good selection of tea & coffee, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good and the staff we encountered were all friendly snd helpful. Overall we thought it was great value for money and a fantastic location.

We had a fabulous stay at the St John Guest House in Weymouth. The guest house is well located, a short walk from the train station and close to the beach and restaurants, cafes etc. Our room was lovely – very clean and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom and kettle/mugs for tea/coffee etc. Breakfast is pre-ordered the day before at a time that works for you and cooked to order which was great. The food was delicious and plentiful. The owners, Lynn & Andy, are very welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay and you can see why its award-winning! There is also a guest lounge available for use which was lovely. Weymouth itself has plenty to explore and great facilities for children. The beach is great for families and has good facilities and the summer fireworks evenings on the beach are a big hit with families from all over the area and visitors alike. St Johns Guest House is in a great location to use as a base for walking around the local area and exploring the Jurassic Coast. I’d highly recommend staying here and make the most of a staycation in the area. Will definitely book again.

Firstly want to say a massive thanks to Andy and Beyoncé 😉. We arrived down from Sandbach in Cheshire, a good 4/5 hours away and we were running late due to the traffic, really helpful and were brilliant about it! The B&B is in a brilliant location, situated perfectly, 5 minute walk to the seafront (and that was perfect for us). The room was great, all the amenities including a Fridge which is always appreciated when the weathers warm to keep the drinks cool! Large king size bed, presented beautifully, wonderfully clean and tidy. En-suite facilities with shower. Ideal! Water always ran warm (always a bug bear for me but was perfect ever time!). The breakfast is award winning! Presented beautifully, and tastes amazing! Nice selection of yoghurts, fruit, hot and cold beverages, croissants etc. But we elected for the full English and this was sensational! Highly recommended! 😊👍. Smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs was a special and the good lady absolutely loved this! Hopefully will be a choice when you stay. Andy and Lynn were exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough, we really didn't want to check out this morning and we will certainly be back! We are already looking at coming back again in August 🏅.

We very much enjoyed our stay at St John's Guest House. Lynne & Andy were very friendly, helpful & accommodating throughout the booking & the stay. We were really impressed with our rooms, they were well equipped, immaculately clean, well maintained & best of all warm & cosy. The breakfast was hearty & delicious. It makes a good base, the onsite parking is handy & it's only a few minutes walk from the beach & promenade. We'll definitely be returning, it was great value, we were really impressed.

Everything! The room was lovely, well presented and clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, making you feel comfortable and relaxed. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and very delicious. Great location within walking distance of the beach, town and family activities. Both my son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come again and recommend St John’s to our family and friends.

We had a lovely stay at at johns guest house, location was perfect, there was parking on the property which i imagine is quiet rare in the area, our room was lovely (room 3) bed was so comfortable and we slept like babies the room is also very clean and smelt lovely, there is a fridge in the room and we were given fresh milk for our tea which was great. Breakfast was absolutely lovely all cooked fresh and piping hot. St John’s guesthouse will definitely be our first choice when we return to Weymouth

I had a fantastic experience at Ingliston Country Club Hotel. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the front desk staff. The check-in process was quick and seamless, and I was given all the information I needed for a comfortable stay. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. I was also impressed with the bathroom, which had high-quality amenities and a luxurious shower. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping the room clean to a high standard. The on-site restaurant offered delicious meals with great service. What truly set this hotel apart was the friendly and attentive staff. They went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect, and I felt well taken care of throughout my visit. First time visit to Ingliston country club &hotel Booked an overnight dinner bb at the hotel for my wife’s birthday We were checked in by a very nice young lady into a double room overlooking the horse paddock ,the room was similar in standard to a premier inn style nice complimentary biscuits water tea and coffee etc. We had our meal booked for 7pm in the Palominos restaurant As we were on a deal we had a fixed menu which was fine, however We elected to go a La carte and used the fixed menu allowance to supplement this we both had prawn cocktails followed by sirloin steaks Both dishes were lovely and cooked perfectly nice peppercorn sauce and onion rings. Palominos is a lovely venue and all staff we interacted with were lovely And made our stay all the more pleasant.Drink prices are a quite high but you can expect that a country club. Nice quiet nights sleep after our meal room was very comfortable. Check out was easy and quick with another lovely receptionist. I can’t comment on the breakfast as both of us were still full from the night before so we didint feel like eating. I would recommend Ingliston for the food and surroundings,lovely views Not the cheapest of venues but the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff make the extra expense worth it.

Beautiful setting right next to Lake Windemere. The views were amazing over the lake from the lounge, then also our room and again at breakfast from the dining room. The bar was cosy with an open fire and helpful staff. The hotel was clean and welcoming and staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Already recommend to family and friends. We will be returning in the future.

Excellent and pristine cabins, I've been here atleast 3 times now and there will definitely be more visits. As its just has a beautiful view and a brilliant walk to the beach with an amazing fire pit to relax by with my family. My autistic son loves how quiet and peaceful it is not to mention the hot tub also, and to top it off the little ducks that come to visit to. We can't wait to come back as it's amazing value for money.

Cosy, clean and comfortable accommodation in a lovely shepherd's hut. Peaceful location. Perfect after a day walking and great shower. Will definitely book again.

Really nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Room was lovely. Stylish decor in the bar area and restaurant where we had a very nice dinner. Staff seem thin on the ground and were rushing about trying to keep up with things, even though both the bar and restaurant were very both quiet. Dreary background music could be replaced with something a bit less misery inducing. Breakfast was not great.

Amazing hotel Arrived with family on a really hot day, the hotel had the windows open and fans on in our room ready for our arrival ensuring the rooms were as cool as possible. Part of our package was a delicious afternoon tea. Lovely selection of sandwiches, artisan sausage rolls and gorgeous cakes. The bar staff made us amazing cocktails and the chef did us proud with the fantastic food at dinner on the evening including the best fish and chips I have had in years. Friendly attentive staff despite a busy wedding being on during our visit.

We booked this at the last minute (30 mins ahead of arriving) and it was delightful and perfect for our needs - comfortable, warm room (there was an additional, plug in heater in our room, which was perfect) and helpful, friendly staff. We had dinner in the restaurant (which was closing at 8pm - a bit earlier than it says on the website) which was very nice. We really enjoyed our safe and it was brilliant for a late find and very good value :-)

Stayed a Friday and Saturday night, left Sunday late morning. The hotel is a mixture of modern and rustic, but done tastefully. The room was superb with a large bathroom and walk in shower. Terry robes and good quality towels as well as a comfy bed. Tea/coffee etc, the usual, nice fridge which is handy. The food is good and varied if you want such as well as the usual sort of offerings. Breakfast sports some unusual but very tasty offerings, I won't spoil it but I've had breakfasts all over the world and never seen the like of the two I had and thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't lunch there as we were off walking. Dinner was good on both nights, a particular favourite for both of us was an unusual take on a shepherds pie involving slow cooked chunks of lamb shank... Staffwise the manager we met was top notch but I'm damned if I can remember his name... age thing I guess. Two that I do remember were the housekeeper Marie or Maria who was incredibly helpful and young Nathan who seemed to be everywhere at once. All in all, a lovely break in a picturesque village in a picturesque part of the world -and so close to the A1 too.

Great secluded, parkland location just outside of St Austell. Spacious and comfortable rooms with efficient air conditioning and balcony with comfy chairs and table. Good public areas with a sun terrace, dining room and welcoming bar. Good selection of hot and cold food at breakfast and reasonable selection of bar food. Afternoon Tea was outstanding and a very popular option. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and always attentive. Plenty of car parking space. Coffee shop, eat-in bakery, small supermarket and fast food stores a couple of minutes drive or 8-10 minutes walk away.

The property is in an idyllic location and is surrounded by well maintained gardens/land. We loved the way the Manor House has expanded into lodge style hotel accommodation - all of the rooms (I believe) are accessible internally and many have lift access. There is no need to go outside unless you’re heading to the spa. The superior double rooms were exceptionally spacious and had lovely balconies overlooking the gardens/main house. The room we were in was dog friendly, as we decided to bring our little dogs along for the trip. The cost per dog is very reasonable in comparison to other four star hotels at £15 a dog and they leave a lovely jar of biscuits for them to enjoy. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating - both on reception and the service staff. The food was also brilliant. We were quite impressed by the Thai Green Curry for dinner and the breakfast menu was great. You are also allowed to bring your dogs to meals, providing you sit in the Tea Room, the Bar or the terrace. The gym facilities are the best I’ve experienced in a four star hotel. The equipment is top tier and, in terms of cleanliness, it’s second to none. The spa was also hugely spacious with lovely gardens and a large pool. Great to have some adult only sessions but to also see that it is child friendly for the majority of the day.

We booked a deluxe room and was really pleased with the space. The balcony was a bonus as we had some lovely warm days and evening. Plus, the room was really warm so we benefitted from having the doors open when we were in the room. Overall it was very clean and we had no real problems. Location wise, the hotel is perfect if you are planning on walking the south west coast path. It was also great if you're happy to take the bus to neighbouring towns. If you want nightlife or resteraunts in walking distance, it's not the place for you. We ate at the resteraunt twice and it was okay. Nothing amazing but tasty. Breakfast was great if you wanted hot food. The cold selection wasn't huge but there's plenty if you are happy with the basics. The spa might be a bit small for the amount of users. The pool got a tad tight a couple of times, so if you want to take advantage of lane swimming, you might need to figure out the quiet times. The staff were attentive and friendly. Especially those that ran the breakfast service.

This hotel is fabulous, all of the staff are very friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. It is spotlessly clean and the bedding is high quality, the room is very comfortable with everything you need. If you have the do not disturb sign on the door housekeeping leave a lovely basket of clean towels, loo roll and tea/coffee etc outside the door. The Spa is very good, a nice swimming pool, very clean. Breakfast amazing and plentiful.

The Hampton by Hilton at London Stansted Airport is, without a doubt, one of the best Hanpton hotels I have ever stayed in. It has become my absolute favourite choice for ensuring a comfy, stress-free night's sleep before an early morning flight. The convenience is unparalleled, but the quality of the stay is what really sets it apart. The rooms are immaculate, quiet, and perfectly designed for a restful stay. The dining experience here is also excellent. The complimentary breakfast never disappoints—it's fresh, plentiful, and has a great variety of options to start the day right. I was also pleasantly surprised to receive meal credits which I used at the restaurant and snack bar, a wonderful perk that makes a big difference. A huge highlight was having a room on a top floor with views of the runway—it was absolutely brilliant! Watching the aircraft was a great way to relax. If you are flying from Stansted, I highly recommend staying here. Exceptional service, great amenities, and maximum comfort!

The hotel is a short walk from the terminal which is very helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious and no noise from planes! The reception person was very friendly and helpful, they clearly knew their job well. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. When my cup of tea and plates were cleared by accident whilst I was at the buffet, Val, immediately fetch me another one! Great,professional service! This hotel knows what it is doing!

We booked a cottage with jacuzzi. It was brilliant for us. We had our dog, so we found the garden and easy access into town wonderful. We booked half board and really enjoyed our meal at the bistro . The staff there were wonderful with our daughter. I recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is nice but maintenance has clearly been slipping over the last few years. The garden is beautiful but overgrown, we had a leak in the bathroom that could be seen from downstairs and the sofa in the restaurant looked ready to collapse and frankly dangerous. The spa pool was also looking tired but overall had a good feel about it. We were greeted by a receptionist who was cold and everything was clearly too much effort. She was verging on rude. Bar staff were slow and generally absent meaning long waits. The staff in the breakfast room and spa were the only ones taking any pride in their work and who seemed to put any effort in. They were friendly and restored some faith in our being welcome. You need to book in a time for breakfast and order hot food the night before. This would almost make sense if it was recorded so we didn’t all turn up at the same time which was the case in one of the mornings making booking a complete waste of time. The food for breakfast was mediocre and prevented us from staying in for dinner. Having said all of that we enjoyed our stay because we had a cottage with a private garden and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and worked well with no bad smells which is not always the case. The spa facilities were good and the staff there were friendly and helpful. There is a croquet lawn which was great fun although no one on reception ever knew where the set was up kept. Overall it felt like a hotel that needs some tlc.

Everything was perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The Spa and Bistro bar were great; the fact that you can use the spa facilities on check-out day was a great bonus ( at no extra charge). Our bed and bedding were super- comfortable, it was quiet and the gardens were lovely.

Large room with a massive bathroom with bath and shower on the top floor. Extremely comfy large bed. Chaise lounge, desk for working, fireplace etc. Couldn't fault the room. Had 3 very good nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious, nice to be able to pre book the cooked breakfast in advance. Sonia the waitress stood out as being very personable and friendly. Dinner was incredible, we had 3 courses including the cote de boeuf with wine. No complaints at all. Staff very friendly and accommodating and helped my pregnant wife with her bags when we arrived. The spa was also very nice and relaxing, lovely hydrotherapy pool and steam room.

The breakfast was out of this world!! Lovely fresh bread, amazing freshly prepared fruit and yoghurt... Cooked options were also fantastic. I had avocado and salmon on sourdough with cream cheese, it was PERFECT. We had a hot tub in our suite which we used a couple of times. Proper branded jacuzzi.

Perfect location on the edge of Ambleside. The staff were all exceptional. There is a large car park one minute walk from the main reception area, but you can drop off bags and turn right outside. We stayed in the main building because we wanted a proper balcony and we had the largest one. Two sets of double doors opened into the balcony and a lovely view of the quite large garden, which had some nice plants and trees. (In the separate, more modern, building the upstairs rooms have Juliette balconies and the ground floor rooms have dog friendly’ outside areas.) Our bathroom had a bath that filled very quickly and a large, free-standing shower (rainfall and hand-held) with excellent water pressure. Beautiful ‘Bath House’ toiletries were provided. The bed in our room was very big - a super king I think. The sheets were lovely. The restaurant’s ambience was perfect and the food was sublime. YOU MUST GO! The high quality extended to breakfast too.

Our stay at Rothay Manor was perfect. Staff were welcoming and helpful and made us feel right at home, The room was nicely furbished. Bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The shower was excellent, lots of flow and great temperature control. Nice fluffy generous towels and soap / shower gel. We also ate at the restaurant. Food, ambience and staff were all excellent. Slept comfortably and peacefully. We were also able to park at an EV charger parking spot and recharge the car overnight at a very reasonable rate for a public charger. Breakfast the next morning was great. Just perfect all round.

Our superior room was stunning. (first room at the top of the stairs - forget the name.) It had some fantastic wallpaper. Amazing large bathroom, large walk in shower and free standing bath. Large balcony overlooking the gardens. £5 option to have breakfast on the balcony table. Hotel happy to organise flowers for arrival. 6 x 22kW (11kW usable in my EV) 3-phase EV chargers. Reasonable £0.40/kWh charge. Food in the restaurant was excellent and very foodie - you wouldn't however want to eat there more than once though as there is limited options/limited set menu and it's £65+ per head for min 3 courses. The cheese trolly was special. Very clean and comfy king size bed.

The interior design is beautiful and the garden terrace is lovely. We loved the room in the new pavillon, absolutely beautiful and comfortable! 10 out 10. The receptionists are welcoming, convenient and very friendly. The location is perfect near the river, the lake and Ambleside city center. The breakfast was really good and we loved the personal touches.

The stay was beautiful and aesthetic. The room was very spacious (superior king size) and clean. It had all the amenities- tea/coffee with kettle, hair dryer, basic toiletries, TV, a nice big fan (which was very helpful), all details about the stay which we would need including the WIFI details. I had requested for a king size bed instead of twin beds and an early check- both of which was kindly accepted by the host. The host was lovely and helped us with our bags. Even though we had not booked breakfast- he said it would be okay for us to have breakfast the next morning which was lovely! Special mention to the cozy chairs and a round table in the room which was cute and also all the books/ magazines they has kept in the communal area for us to read. This was one of best stays I have visited and would want to go back there if I am visiting Cambridge anytime soon.

The B and B was within walking distance to the city centre . It was very clean and comfortable. Our room was large- the bay window was lovely to sit at. The hosts were very welcoming and served us a delicious full English breakfast. A buffet breakfast is also available. Parking is at front of house.

Would be perfect for a multi-night stay in Edinburgh so you can spread out a bit. The location is perfect. Once you walk outside and down the block, take a left turn and you can see Edinburgh Castle sitting up on the hill. Just steps away from multiple bars and restaurants, but also on a quiet street.

Great location, 30 second walk to George Street which has some nice restaurants and bars. 10-15 minute walk from Waverley station and the numerous bars and restaurants around that area. Very clean apartment, great facilities - tea & coffee facilities, kettle, toaster, pots and pans. The shower was great, good water pressure and hot water instantly. There is no parking with the apartment, but there was on street parking closeby.

It was a perfect location. A stylish building located in a quiet street. The room was airy and bright. The bed was comfy. The suite had a kitchen with cookware sets which I didn't use. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great. I really couldn't ask for more.

Loved this hotel, can’t fault it. We had a superior room in the new wing, nice and spacious and bathroom was fab. We made good use of the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. The gym is a little tired but machines are useable. The grounds are nice for sitting outside in good weather and there’s a cute little model village on site which is a nice little extra (tokens at reception). Breakfast was pretty good. Staff in bar/restaurant were all really lovely and even though they were obviously exceptionally busy over bank holiday weekend everything ran really smoothly.

It may be a 3 star hotel but service is 5 star - incredibly helpful and friendly staff and impeccably clean everywhere. It's a lovely quiet spot too - looking out onto the gardens and surrounding rural area from the bar and restaurant is really nice. The only things letting it down are the older decor in the rooms (although the bed was very comfy with lovely bedding) and the fact that the walls are very thin (I could hear neighbours talking and TVs, and bathroom usage), plus I had a basin that wouldn't drain and a weak shower, but this is why it's classed as 3 star I suppose. The other let down was the dinner food which was a bit odd and overpriced with strange, over-elaborate menu choices, although I had a couple of great starters. Breakfast was better but I would still have preferred more simple choices - the Sunday buffet was best as I could have any combination of cooked breakfast I wanted. But these are small concerns when overall it's great value for money and has a lovely vibe. And I didn't get to try the spa and gym facilities - next time!

WOW! We had one night in the junior suite. I booked this with my Tesco Club card vouchers. The first time I’ve used them for a hotel stay & what a place to stay for our first time!!! It was the perfect half way stop home after a busy long Halloween day in Alton Towers. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after hours of walking and waiting for rides. I cannot rate this place high enough. Everything from the decor to the room service, it is all so well thought & of high standard. Immaculate in cleanliness. The meal from the pub delivered to your door was the icing on the cake for us as we were far too exhausted to start getting ready to go out again. The quality of food was utterly beautiful & the steak was to a standard I’ve not had in some 5* restaurants. Credit to the chef it was exceptional!! Staff were so friendly & welcoming. The outside area around the hot tub was very private & beautiful. The bed was soooooo comfortable! My husband is 6ft 4inch we often find staying away we rarely find a bed that’s both comfortable & big enough…this was both! Such a wonderful stay, already recommended to family & friends. We will certainly be back! Thank you again

The beds were large and comfortable. The hot tub on the balcony was lovely and kept its heat well (not a jet style hot tub but I really liked that it wasn’t). Room was modern and liked you had an app to order room service (although we did not). Shower was large and plenty of hot water. Rooms had good lighting and mirrors (something I find a lot of places lack and are needed when you want to get dressed up for dinner). We had dinner at the adjacent restaurant (this is also where you check in). Food and staff at the restaurant were lovely.

A lovely place to stay, very modern and clean, felt private and quiet which was great, room service/food was easy to order and tasted great (theres a useful app)! Staff were attentive and friendly, all in all great few days away in a gorgeous location, the hot tub was also a luxury and well maintained!

We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a fantastic meal with a complimentary glass of prosecco finished off with a small strawberry-topped brownie on a plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate sauce. The room (Primrose) was spacious and comfortable with a huge bath and a wonderful shower. Breakfast if huge and delicious too. One minor point the coffee machine wouldn't play ball this morning. A very smart establishment. Rather than a 'room in a pub', I found myself in a beautifully decorated and spacious bedroom, with nice toiletries, a super 'tea tray' and a very comfy bed! And the bathroom was amazing. Huge with a free standing bath, big shower, loads of towels, lovely decor. Unfortunately I arrived quite late and had to leave early the next day, so was not able to enjoy much time at this lovely inn, but I know where it is now! The breakfast was excellent. The staff on arrival and at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Perfect!

My wife and I stayed overnight to meet up with family and have a meal together. The room was lovely, clean, and welcoming. Bathroom was modern and clean with good shower. The staff were very friendly and the service was great! We had a meal in the restaurant which was wonderful, the breakfast was equally as good! All in all a great stay and I can see us revisiting.

Lovely location opposite a village Green with walks along a river. The bar and restaurant are welcoming and comfortable. The dog friendly bedrooms are in an extension, which requires a very short walk outside to get to the main building. The room was comfortable with a super king size bed and nice shower room.

This was the favorite place we stayed on our two week trip to the UK. Our welcome and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was well appointed and clean, bed very comfortable, in a quiet area. Food was very good, service in restaurant quick. Future visitors please note; there is no AC, so if it is hot, may be uncomfortable. They do provide fans and windows open wide. Close to Ely and Bury St. Edmonds. Would recommend The Packhorse to anyone visiting the area.

Very clean little studio with a fully equipped built in kitchenette (kettle, fridge, coffee machine, toaster, hob and microwave, small workspace and a sink with things for washing up). En suite bathroom with waterfall shower and plenty of hot water. Clean fluffy towels. Good sized bed with two pillows and spotlessly clean linen.Quiet, comfortable with air con too. Desk and chair, flat screen tv with lots of channels. Incredibly good value, I would stay here again, and would recommend it to friends. Very close to Queensway tube station, two minute walk to the park. We did get moved from Craven Hill Gardens to another property, but they told us in plenty of time, sent us directions and a photo of the property, then rang to check we'd got everything and were happy. Excellent service

Location was great with tube stations just a couple of minutes away. The room was small but very clean and very comfortable. The staff member was helpful in that he provided us with ice and stored our bags safely after checking out. The surroundings felt safe and were very quiet, and there were bars and eateries nearby too. The building is very attractive from outside and inside from walking in to getting to the room is very modern and clean.

The room was very clean, nice and comfortable. It had everything you need and was even spacious by London standards at this price point. The bathroom was small but nice. Bed and pillows were comfy. AC was great and nice coffee/tea provided every day. Front desk people were really nice and helpful. Check in and checkout were a breeze. Left my luggage at reception when I arrived in the morning. It was in my room when I came back. Location was perfect. A couple of blocks from Hyde Park and a short walk from Paddington Station. Two more tube stations nearby besides Paddington, plus several bus stops

One potential improvement would be if the room key could be used to operate the car park barrier to avoid having to ask reception to raise the barrier each time I returned to the hotel. But my only reason for not giving 5 stars overall was that my room was a lttle on the cramped side compared to similar hotels for a similar price.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing - excellent choice & all top quality products & fresh. Croissants were delicious & the cooked breakfast was also really tasty, we were very pleased. The spa & pool were also great. The sauna & steam worked really well, pool was clean & refreshing - lovely cool temperature after the heat of the sauna & steam & the heated beds were so nice & relaxing. The beds & room were also comfortable & we enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant too. Good, patient, kind & friendly service from all - reception & dining.

I stayed one night and arrived shortly before my dinner booking after a very very long drive. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. I had dinner in the restaurant which was tasty and good value for money. Breakfast was also very good - buffet style with everything you could want. The room was clean, well appointed and perfectly adequate. There are no amenities (other than shampoo and conditioner in dispensers in the shower). There is no airconditioning so the room got a bit stuffy as it was a warm night. Had I not been so tired on arrival I'd have spotted a plug in fan in the wardrobe... The car park is monitored with security barriers and the location is very close to the M6 from either the north or south and makes an ideal overnight stop en route to or from Scotland to the South. The spa facilities looked good - I did use the pool and steam room early morning before I set off on the next leg of my journey and both were good. All in all a nice place to stay and more personal than the big branded hotels.

As soon as we got there staff were amazing. Really outgoing, friendly, welcoming. Room was lovely and clean with a nice view. Breakfast was delicious. Leasure facilities were excellent and clean. A lady on the front desk was loveliest person we've ever met at this location and we've been a few times now.

All the staff we met were great, especially the Receptionist. Location was perfect as a stop over. Dinner was tasty. Room was a little small but was nicely done, clean and comfortable bed. This was super convenient for us as we needed an early breakfast around 6:30 before travelling to our next location. We ordered a sausage and a bacon bap which were ok and you could pick a selection of pastries, juices and hot drinks. Our room was clean and fairly sized for a family of 4. The shower and bath clean and the pressure of water was good. Our view was of a fence that on the other side had someone’s house, this did not concern us as not there for long. To sleep however I did find the duvet covers to be quite rough. Other than that the sleep was pleasant. On the whole a good night stay, the staff definitely made the difference in regards to making you feel welcome and the reason for the rating given. The hotel is in a good location and has a lovely pub next door which is where we went for dinner.

In All a nice clean hotel. However take your earplugs for a good night's sleep. We were in a first floor room at the front of the hotel facing the Nags Head pub and restaurant....The extractor fan on the roof of the pub turns onat around 11.30am and turns off around 11pm. Very noisy even with the window closed. Also you can hear the extractor fans in the other rooms when they turn the light on to the toilet as other did too. Would be nice if they made it as when you turn the shower on the fan comes on instead. Other than than a nice stay.

Reception welcoming. Room clean and tidy. Linen perfect. Towels soft and white. Breakfast adequate. Adjacent restaurant was excellent with a good choice of food and again welcoming staff. Very convenient for us to get from the hotel to our meeting places via the adjacent M62 motorway. If we visit the area again we would not hesitate stay here again.

There is a lovely pub/restaurant right next door to the hotel but they don't open for breakfast. We did have dinner though, a tapas type pick and mix meal, and the food was delicious. Service was a bit slow as it was busy but we were in no rush so that was fine.

The room was fantastic,clean spacious with lovely decor. Also the shower and jacuzzi bath was a lovely treat. The owners were so nice and friendly they couldn't do enough for you. Not that we needed them to do anything, as everything we needed was there and been thought of. Not to mention absolute top quality breakfast made exactly as you want it

Jo and Darren were fantastic hosts. They’ve put a lot of thought into what goes into the rooms. We had a fridge with fresh milk, coffee/tea tray and bottled water. The shower was amazing. Toiletries were provided also. Plenty of wardrobe space, chest of drawers, TV, hairdryer and a fan to cool the room down as it was very hot weather whilst we were there. Good information book, WiFi, clock radio, free parking. There is a residents lounge and bar area plus a dining room for breakfast. You order your breakfast the night before which is great as it means less waste. The fruit salad for breakfast was amazing, freshly made to order. Eggs were delicious as fresh as they could be. All set out ready for you in a light exceptionally clean dining room. Heaps of local information in reception. Five minute walk from the seafront. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mount Edgcombe Guest House, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I've had. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They made me feel right at home! The room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. The bed was super comfortable, and I had some of the best sleep I've had in a long time. Location-wise, Mount Edgcombe is perfectly situated. It’s close to the main attractions but still secluded enough to offer a peaceful retreat. I loved exploring the nearby shops and cafes during the day and then returning to the hotel for a relaxing evening. Overall, I can't recommend Mount Edgcombe highly enough! Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, this hotel offers everything you need for a memorable stay. I will definitely be coming back!

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts Jo and Darren. We arrived early and checked in. We were shown the room which wasn’t quite ready but was given the key so that we could go out and about. The room was large and spacious and spotlessly clean. The fridge was supplied with fresh milk and there were 2 bottles of water. There was also coffee and tea making facilities though we didn’t make use of this during our stay. There was ample wardrobe space with plenty of hangers. The bathroom and shower were spacious. The bed was very large and has to be the best we’ve ever slept in at a B&B. We liked that there was a breakfast menu to complete for the following day so you could select your breakfast items and how many you wanted of each item, also how you liked your eggs ie fried, scrambled or poached. We were there for a birthday celebration and they went the extra mile by getting a card for my partner and also a muffin cake with a candle. Jo and Darren took time to chat with us and get to know us and gave the personal touch. Nothing was too much trouble and our stay felt very special. There was the added bonus of onsite parking and only a 10 minute walk to the seafront which was flat.

We stayed 2 nights at Mount Edgcombe. Great location , comfy beds, nice shower , excellent breakfast choice and super friendly, helpful hosts. Lovely property that feels like a small hotel with a bar and seating areas. We’ll definitely stay again when in Torquay and would recommend to others as it has everything for a perfect stay . Highly recommend for a stay or to host your wedding. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. All had smiles which makes a huge difference to the ambience of the place. The grounds are very well maintained which gives a very good first impression. The bathroom was immaculately clean and spacious with the biggest fluffiest towels. All toiletries were supplied.The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious with plenty of choice. My son had his wedding here and it was a fantastic day. It ran so smoothly. The food and drinks were delicious. The staff were just exceptional and are an absolute credit to the place. A few of the wedding party rented the cottages which were all individually decorated to a very high spec and very spacious, some with hot tubs.

My husband and I are both profoundly deaf and the staff at this hotel did everything to make us very welcome and nothing was a bother to them for anything we asked plus ringing for a taxi to Beamish where we attended our friend's wedding.. When we arrived on 6/10/12 we were welcomed by hens running around in the courtyard which was a lovely sight to see and also there was a stable where horses were kept which you could hire to ride. Our room was no 15 a lovely double standard room overlooking the countryside with a bath & shower. We had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent and the staff very friendly. There is a coffee shop which we didn't use and they even have Archery, Air Rifle Shooting and Clay Pigeon Shooting.. Next morning we had breakfast which was fab and you could choose anything from orange juice.cereals, fruit, to full English breakfast, the only thing the room could have been a bit warmer as it was a cold morning. Overall a fabulous hotel to stay and we would go back any time and a credit to all staff there.

The staff were excellent, obliging, and helpful. I forgot to pay my restaurant bill and was rang and spoken to very professionally. I wasn't made to feel awkward. A gentl at the bar said my larger was flat I couldn't tell but the barman threw it away and brought in other staff to correct it.. As a wedding venue it was amazing . It has 4 seperate differet areas , decorated beautifully and not interfering with each other. Great master of ceromonies. Excellent grounds for photos.The restaurant meal was reasonably priced.. comfortable seating in the lounges. Quick check in , check out procedures using 2 seperate desks. The owners have thought of everything.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The staff here really go out of their way to make you feel special. Special mention to the concierge who showed us round the hotel who made us chuckle with his witty comments and the lady on reception who checked us in with a glass of Prosecco . The man who greets you in the car park was lovely, and guided us to a parking spot. He even knew our name! We had a reservation at the hotel restaurant, Mizumi as it was my husband’s birthday. The food was excellent I would definitely recommend it . The decor is outstanding . The spa is great for a few hours of relaxation . Nothing better than drinking a G&T in a jacuzzi. Thankyou, for a wonderful stay we will definitely return.

Loved our two night stay at Lakes Hotel and Spa. We opted for the small double with hot tub and it was a sizeable, clean and gorgeous room with a view to the front, very impressed! Location is perfect; a 5 min walk to the windermere centre with shops, cafes and restaurants. We walked to the marina (10mins) which is the opposite direction and would recommend a meal at the marina restuaurant. The hotel has a lovely cocktail terrace, restuarant, pub and oriental resturant. Breakfast in the main restaurant was lovely and we had dinner in the pub which was great. We made use of the spa facilities which were great too Thank you!

Charming hotel located on a peaceful, leafy street. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The staff were outstanding—friendly, approachable, and helpful throughout our stay. My room was nicely furnished and spotless. The only minor drawbacks were difficulties with casting to the TV despite the provided instructions, which unfortunately didn’t work, and a somewhat inconsistent coffee machine. However, these were small issues in an otherwise great hotel experience. What I loved most was the location—quiet and safe, situated on a broad, tree-lined street right across from a children’s park. It was a peaceful retreat while still being just a 10-minute walk from Kings Cross/St Pancras and equally close to Russell Square and the British Museum. Overall, a very good hotel well worth considering.

I had a really great stay at the Goodenough Hotel. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful, which made checking in and getting settled really easy. The whole place had a nice, relaxed vibe. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of the park – a nice bonus. It had everything I needed, and I felt right at home. Breakfast was tasty and had a good variety to start the day off right. The location was perfect – really central and close to everything I wanted to see. I could walk pretty much everywhere, which made things super convenient. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Hotel. Beds and pillows so comfy, shower great. It was Spotlessly clean. We were lucky enough be upgraded to a suite (Thank you.) The road outside was quiet and over looked the park. We had complimentary cans of water and shower/travel items. Dressing gowns and slippers. Coffee machine and biscuits. The room and living area were big and would suit a family staying too. Its around a 7 min walk from King Cross and close enough to walk to Oxford Street and Covent Garden in around 15/20 mins. The breakfast was across the road and was a Full English with fruits, pastries, bagles, crumpets and toast. Fruit juice even Cappuccinos and Teas were included. Reception were friendly and held our case before and after check in. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back soon.

Quiet location, despite being only a 12 minute walk from Kings Cross. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was lovely and the breakfast was vast, good quality and served with a smile. The room was decorated nicely, the staff were helpful and friendly. Enjoying breakfast in the Great Hall was especially lovely, the college courtyard and buildings are very pretty, and the square immediately outside the hotel is quiet, relaxing and full of green paraqueets.

Staff a mix of friendly and some not so friendly or welcoming. We ate dinner in the bar - food was good and tasty, although very expensive. There was a lot of it - I would be quite happy with slightly less and it being cheaper. Breakfast was disappointed - no real direction. The cold breakfast was OK but not 5 star. We came down an hour before breakfast finished and there was not much there, it hadn’t been refreshed/restocked e.g. butter, bread, fruit, yogurt, pastries, etc. A lot of people came down after us as well. The hot breakfast looked good and was well presented. Quirky interesting room, good standard, lovely and really nice. Beds comfortable and the shower is really good. Really good sculptured elephant towels on the bed - kudos to whoever did those :-) Only 2 sets of water, glasses, cups, hot drinks despite booking for 3 people. This seems to be a fault in most places we have been to. Not sure it’s five star - no tissues, cracked glass, really dirty/sticky cup, no biscuits. Would I recommend … Yes as even though I don’t feel it’s five star, it’s a nice place.

Clean, spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable mattress, great water pressure, lovely view in the Sebastia room. Dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations, so delicious. We arrived on bicycles to a very warm welcome from Charlene and her staff. Quiet, peaceful, gem of a place!

The room was spacious and clean, bed comfy and lovely cosmetics. Shower and bath were great and big enough. Also coffee pod machine was a nice added touch. Liked the decor and set up of the room and the pub. The food was really good, had fish and chips gluten free and this was the best we have had anywhere. Staff friendly and helpful too were working hard to keep the area clean a d breakfast was excellent.

The room was cosy and beautiful, and very clean. The aspect meant the sun shone in beautifully through the ceiling window and the bathtub in the room was an excellent addition. The walk-in shower was excellent in both space and power. And the inclusion of the bathrobes were a fantastic bonus addition. An all round excellent setting. We ate in the bar both evenings and the service and food were excellent, as was the included breakfast. Perfect setting with stunning coastal walls on the doorstep.

The rooms were lovely, very comfortable, very quiet, the bathroom was lovely Also really enjoyed the swimming pool, was a bit disappointed that there was no indoor jacuzzi, only a outdoor one that was very expensive to go in . The staff were very friendly.

This has been our fifth time and we love it. Friendly staff, good food and just lovely place to relax. The facilities are great you have the pool, steam room and the sauna to choose from. I do recommend using the outside jacuzzi

I travelled with my daughter for two nights stay and we arrived early which was no problem. The receptionist was very welcoming and checked us in right away. We were told everything we needed to know from where the restaurant was to the times breakfast and dinner where served. We had full access to the pool, sauna, and steam room which were a really nice treat. Our room was a great size and it had robes and slippers included which made it feel more special. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights of our stay. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was so delicious. There was also entertainment in the bar area on the Saturday night to enjoy a few drinks at. Breakfast in the mornings was also really delicious and again the staff were really nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a nice quiet get-away. I would also definitely like to return.

First impression was totally amazing with the warm and friendly welcome by the receptionist. Young lady at the reception was very helpful. Very impressed. Well done to her! We were even offered to check in slightly earlier than indicated time on the booking. Kids were allowed to use the pool before we physically check in as pool was closing 5pm. That was a real bonus to keep kids entertained. Accommodation was amazing despite it was right under a train line bridge. (bit of a surprise when you hear a train for the fist time - it was entertaining afterwards.. lol) Otherwise the park was very quiet and clean. Comfy beds too. We found everything we needed to spend our short break in the park. I would go back again.

Staff were very helpful on arrival, entertainment in the evening was amazing, good mix of kids and adult entertainment, food was great and the staff were amazing, caravan was very clean and spacious, we had a great time and will definitely visit again.

The room was spacious,clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. I loved the bed. The food we had in the restaurant was excellent and worth every penny. Staff were great most of the time.

This hotel has great sea views. Its in a tucked away postion away from busy Torquay. We feel its excellent value for money. Our room was large and beautifully furnished with a balcony. The Bathroom was also large with a freestanding bath and great separate shower. Breakfast was buffet style with hot dishes cooked to order. We had dinner in the smaller restaurant section overlooking a terrace and gardens with lovely sea views. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent using high quality ingredients and service was attentive with staff being very knowledgeable about dishes and wines. There is a small free car park for guests.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyabl as possible. We had dinner and breakfast which were both excellent with a good choice. The bed was very comfortable and the room large and well furnished. The bathroom was also a good size. The hotel had a large car park, beautiful gardens along with a terrace to enjoy drinks.

This was my fifth stay at Orestone Manor, and I’m pleased to report that standards remain as high as ever. It’s a well-appointed, family-run hotel in a truly stunning location, overlooking Labrador Bay — a view that never loses its magic. The team run a tight and thoughtful ship, with warm, attentive service that makes you feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are spotless, characterful, and comfortably furnished — cared for with pride and attention to detail. The Bay Restaurant continues to impress, offering food of a very high standard. Every meal was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and classic charm. It’s a real asset to the hotel and a draw in its own right. The residents’ breakfast is excellent value at £10 — generous, freshly prepared, and served with the same care as dinner. A fine start to the day, whether you’re off exploring the coast or simply taking in the view. Orestone Manor remains a firm favourite. For anyone seeking comfort, quality, and a touch of timeless English hospitality in a breathtaking setting, it’s hard to beat. I’ll be back again, no doubt.

UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW We booked this hotel through Booking.com and paid for 2 nights full board, which includes dinner, bed and breakfast. On arrival we were told that the restaurant isn't open on Tuesday night so we couldn't have dinner there. They said we should claim a refund through Booking.com. After several weeks and a plethora of attempts I finally got hold of someone at Booking.com. I was told they'd look into the matter. That was in September. Heard nothing since and no refund. The VERY LEAST the hotel should have done is refund us for the dinner we had to pay for in Torquay. Although I gave it a glowing review 1st time, we'll never stay at Orestone again and will advise our friends and family not to either. Breakfast was very good The room was lovely. We were in Shire outside which had a living room and bedroom. The hot tub was super, state of the art. Not one of those circular ones but a 2-person tub. The staff were really helpful and polite.

The room has all you'll need, Iron, Kettle, hairdryer, En-suite shower room, chairs, desk, TV. Food is great, i make no exaggeration here, spending my working week up and down the country in various hotels and eateries, the portion is just right, very tasty fresh and healthy. The school-house is something a little different, it's nice but not too fancy, a place to relax and sleep, guests are friendly and pricing is very competitive for the area. I enjoyed my stay and hope to be back when over that way. Thanks for the lovely stay Karen.

A lovely, little place of charm and character with friendly owners and dog (Fred). Lovely quiet location away from conurbation but close to links and not far from the M4. The rooms were a good size, very clean and comfortable bed. Liked the mains hair dryer and iron provided in the rooms and the nice bathroom and shower. Sockets had usb ports and there's free wifi. The breakfast was excellent. A very enjoyable stay.

Both propreietors are gebuinely welcoming, helpful and pleasant. The single room was larger than most, it was well equipped with everything thing I needed and everything worked. It was clean, quiet and I had an excellent nights sleep. The evening meal when I arrived was very well cooked, presented and served, it was very good qaulity and good value. The breakfast was not quite so good - (the kippers were pre-packed and filleted) but it was still the second best breakfast out of all of the ones I had on my two weeks of travels around Scotland, England and Wales. The scrambled eggs were freshly cooked for me, they were delicious.

Friendly welcome and throughout stay, love Fred the dog. Good size room, decorated within keeping of the building, crisp fresh immaculately clean bed linen and towels, fabulous shower, great tasty breakfast from Tonny who is an excellent chef and great service from his wife Karen. Would stay again. Excellent value for money for B&B. Evening meal was amazing and for 3-courses of that quality, reasonably priced.

Very Tasty food in the restaurant and breakfast and dinner brought to our room when the restaurant was closed, a real treat!!! The owners were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is accessed down a private drive way and once you're there, it'd hard to believe the town is so close. There's free parking, WiFi, a well stocked bar area with a beautiful outdoor deck. We stayed in a superking size room. The room was decorated in a modern boutique style. Was spacious, had a clean private bathroom with separate bath and shower but the best part was the private balcony with a view of the river. Perfect for sitting out as the sun went down. Breakfast was included and they had a good selection of hot and cold offerings. I would happily recommend the place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Michelle. We reserved one of the rooms with a hot tub and balcony and the view over the river was gorgeous. The room was comfortable and spacious. We had one dinner at the hotel plus an afternoon tea. All meals were delicious and we enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful lounge. There are lots of things to do nearby, including hikes, shopping, and adventures like the Rib River rides. Our favorite part of our stay would have to be the incredible hospitality. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, all the while respecting our privacy. We will definitely be back!

This hotel is like a little oasis, a peaceful place by a beautiful river where you can really recharge. The staff are so friendly and you immediately feel like you have known them for years. The view from our very comfortable room was just breathtaking and the sound of the river was so calming that we left the door open so we could listen to it all night. We visited places nearby, as Betws y coed is a great centre to travel out to lots of tourist destinations, but we made sure we came back mid afternoon so we could sit on the deck with a delicious drink, when it didn’t rain, and take in the gorgeous scenery. The hotel is lovely, with a fantastic conservatory restaurant right by the River Conwy, and the food is second to none that we have experienced anywhere. The chef created an exciting and imaginative menu, also using produce from the hotel kitchen gardens, and the menu evolved according to what was available. Not only were the dishes a feast for the eyes but the flavour combinations were sensational…..a real treat. The weather was varied but it did not matter, we had a lovely last minute holiday and I only wish we had booked for a longer stay. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

What a wonderful place! The hotel is ideally located in beautiful grounds off the main road. It's just a few minutes walk to the shops or Pont Y Pair. We were given a warm and friendly greeting upon our arrival. Our dog was given a towel to dry off from the rain shower at check in. Our room was meticulously clean, light and spacious. There was even a dog welcome pack in the room, including bedding and dog snacks. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Evening meal menu covered all dietary choices. Please note guests with dogs eat in a separate part of the restaurant so there is minimum disruption to other guests, and hygiene is not compromised. Plenty of parking space on site. The views from the hotel are stunning. There is a tranquillity here that is hard to match. It's also closely situated to so many other sights including Swallow Falls, Fairy Glen and the Ugly House, which is anything but ugly. It's also just a short drive away from Bodnant Gardens for a day trip away. Would highly recommend and we are definitely booking a return trip.

The holiday home was amazing, so cosy! Our dog was with us and the jacuzzi was just heavenly.

The lodge was just what you would want for a family holiday. The kitchen area had all the facilities you could possibly need. The two bathrooms were a bonus . Loved the jacuzzi . We saw a red squirrel whilst eating breakfast my first sighting in 68 years🐿️

the cabin and everything in it seemed new, the beds were comfortable, it was spotlessly clean. The hot tub on the terrace was very nice in February and the terrace faced only greenery, not another row of lodges (though many of the non-hot tub cabins were surrounded by other cabins, but that’s just how these resorts are). The staff were helpful - our cabin was missing coffee maker, reading light, and remote to operate the electric fireplace- staff fixed all this very quickly and with a smile. The site was quiet yet there was a nice pub just 5 minutes walk away. St Helen’s Bay was picturesque.

What a great find. From the outside this hotel is just a door on a high st. On entering, it opens up into a lovely hotel, clean and modern with lovely, welcoming, helpful staff. It's a little gem. Facilities in the room are great, shampoo and shower gel, USB points, kitchenette area, comfy bed. We were overlooking the main road and could not hear a single noise from out there due to the amazing soundproofed windows.

Really modern and clean. Friendly staff. Room was really comfortable and quiet. All linen and towels were fresh and good quality. Shower was great. Ironing board in the room and a fridge was a bonus. Much better than I have recently got for hotels around this price in London. I will definitely stay here again. Was about a 35 minute picturesque walk to the zoo.

The hotel location is absolutely perfect: there are bus stops with buses going to the center and Edgware metro station with Backerlo and Circle lines. The room is quite small, but there is everything one can need: fully equipped kitchenette with micro, stove, fridge, kettle, toaster, dishware. There is coffee machine with capsules; there teabags and biscuits. There was something wrong with my machine, or I just didn't know how to use it, any way it was fixed straight away. There was also hairdryer, safe-box and tv. The room was very clean: the towels were changed every day. There is something with sound isolation: you can hear when somebody is walking in the upstairs room, but actually there was so little of it, so it didn't really bother. There is 24h registration desk. The personal was very friendly and always eager to help and give an advice. There are also plenty of food stores and restaurants around.

Great location close to the tube station, we were able to leave our luggage and go explore the city before our check-in. The staff was great and we had a nice chat with the receptionist who recommended some places to eat locally. Access to our floor with a lift, everything was quiet and super clean. The room and the hotel were newly decorated/refurbished and looked great. We had enough space for two, with our mini kitchenette and a 5* shower ! Plugs next to the bed were a great touch for the connected traveler too. But seriously, great shower! I have stayed in 4*-5* hotels before that did not have that quality in the shower. Also the bed was very comfortable and the air con welcome as it was a warm weekend. I will come back next time I am in London!

The suite was lovely and spacious for ourself and our 2 dogs. Patio doors onto patio with jacuzzi with stunning views. Gifts and blankets for the dogs which was a lovely touch. Room was bright and clean and quiet. Nice friendly staff doing their best. We never used the spa as we had our own private area to relax. The downstairs lounge was a nice place to sit for drinks and the pizzas were fabulous. You need to order at the bar before going downstairs which we didn’t know at the time. I would definitely stay there again.

We came across this hotel a bit by accident— due to a forecast storm, we couldn’t get off the island on the day we were meant to, so we needed somewhere to stay. I’m very glad to have been stranded because this hotel was outstanding! The rooms are gorgeous, and most if not all have a view of the sea and ferry port. The room we had was so comfortable with a beautiful view, but we also enjoyed the bath & shower products from ishga and the Highland Soap Company. Some rooms have private hot tubs, but all guests have free access to the swimming pool and spa which includes a public hot tub (bookable in advance), a steam room, a sauna, and hot & cold foot baths. Other services such as massages and facials can be reserved at a charge and you can book it through the hotel reception. The pool also serves as a local community pool, so it can get quite busy, but I liked that a fancy hotel like this gets involved in community life rather than isolates itself. Their restaurant, Òran na Mara, has outstanding food! It’s headed by a husband and wife team: chef Noel, who cooked the delicious dinner, and Remi, who runs the front of house and made our experience extra special. The hotel also has a separate lounge/bar called the Sea Deck Bar if you’re looking for lighter bites or more casual dining. We were a bit confused by this setup at first, but we ended up trying both restaurants in a day. I really would recommend Òran na Mara for dinner though, it was so good.

First pleasant surprise was how close the hotel was to the ferry port, less than a five minute drive so that was very convenient and served as a great base for exploring the island. The view through the full height windows as you enter reception was fantastic, and the bar area was a very cosy place to enjoy a local whisky of an evening (also very reasonably priced). Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was 10/10 - the option to start with some oysters was novel and delicious! We enjoyed a few options and all were great. Service was incredibly helpful and friendly. We loved our stay, and enjoyed the walks around the property of an evening.

The Tivoli was amazing, the room with the hot tub and jacuzzi Bath was like having your own personal 5 star spa with lovely lighting/candles and stylish decor. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Met the owners just as we were leaving and again, very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again, a lovely break from the kids 👍

Absolutely loved this hotel, the welcoming Prosecco was a nice touch. Free parking, breakfast delivered to your room for a small fee and worth it in my opinion. Sweetheart Room (Cottage) was amazing. Well proportioned, cozy flame effect fire and wonderful Spa Bathroom. We chickened out and didn't use the outdoor Jacuzzi, it was too windy and raining heavily. Would definitely recommend for a treat.

We were very pleasantly surprised on arriving at the Boutique Hotel. We were warmly greeted with a glass of Prosecco. Our suite was so much better than we had expected. In addition to the bedroom there was a room with a table for meals, a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and a Sauna. Our suite did not have a 'hot tub', which the other suites had, but that did not concern us.The Breakfast menu was excellent and food was cooked to order. Dinner was available but had to be ordered by 5.30pm. We ate out at local restaurants on both nights - restaurants that had been recommended by the staff at the hotel

Fantastic get away! Everything is perfect. The room was amazing with great decoration, Bluetooth speaker/ contactless charging/ comfortable bed. The room was immaculately clean. The Spa facilities are really good and immaculately clean. Although the hotel was very busy, the Spa area’s remained quiet. We got to experience all areas with ease. The food is delicious, with great choices. Every single staff member is friendly and helpful (this always makes such a difference). We had a great time. We will definitely be back.

Took my wife to the Rabbit Hotel Retreat for her birthday. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming and asked was there any special occasion? By the time we got to our room, there was a birthday card and bar of chocolate from 'Florence,' the hotel pet dog waiting for us. Our evening meal was absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The chef wrote Happy Birthday on my wife's dessert plate in melted chocolate. Two very nice gestures and well received. The breakfast was equally appetising and service with a smile throughout. We availed of the clay ritual in a private steam room overlooking the lake, and afterwards in the beautiful outdoor spa pool as part of our stay. Checking out was very efficient and friendly with no unexpected extras added to the bill. We'll definitely be back for a second helping.

My wife and I stayed at The Rabbit Hotel for our anniversary, and it was a truly memorable experience. The spa facilities were absolutely fantastic – despite the hotel being fully booked, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. A real highlight was being able to order drinks straight to the hot tub via the QR code, which added a fun and relaxing touch. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, with a great atmosphere to match. The rooms are comfortable, stylish, and quirky, with the added bonus of easy access to the spa. Overall, The Rabbit Hotel is the perfect mix of relaxation, great food, and unique character. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary and will definitely be back.

Mum & I had the most wonderful relaxing time at the retreat. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotless, so beautiful & equipped with everything you really need, the bed was unreal, I had the best sleep. We had dinner in the bar & breakfast next morning both were delicious and good menu of choice. We could not fault any of it. Definitely recommend, you gotta give it a go!!

Entertainment every night was great with prizes too win. We did a few of the activities archer, mini rovers, alpaca walks. Great value for money staff really try and make it special. Remembering kids names and helping them along. We stayed in zen 12, lovely and clean had everything we needed. The little welcome back for us and the dogs was a lovely touch really thought of everything. The vouchers for the food and drinks were great too we used them all. Hottub was clean and regularly checked. Loads of explore on the site from view points to watch the sunset, parks, woods and even fishing spots along river avon Fantastic site 11/10 everything you need for a family holiday.

The location of the holiday village is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Just what we needed to recharge from the busyness of London! The drive there seeing all the wild horses grazing was amazing! We loved Good Friday Hill and will be back for sure! The caravan we stayed in (River 143) was clean and had everything we needed. I was worried at first seeing some reviews and photos but was pleasantly surprised. My children enjoyed the arcade, swimming, and the walks. The cafe and shop were very handy and served some delicious treats. The arcade must be the cleanest I have ever come across and dangerously addictive! 😅 It's about a 12 min drive to the nearest supermarkets in Ringwood and we also had an amazing Chinese takeaway from there - Chinatown! We brought our own mobile WiFi router as I checked in advance re: internet and had no troubles watching movies or doing what we needed online. The place is surrounded by gorgeous tall trees, and to be honest, it's about detaching ourselves from all mainstream media and devices and just nourishing ourselves. We had good sleep too! Most staff members we came across were all friendly and helpful. There were no issues there, and we never needed to call for any help. We were grateful that we had a very pleasant stay. God is great!

The shower was spacious. The welcome box in the kitchen with cleaning things to get you started with cleaning up was a treat. The cooking utensil were suitable for the purpose. The appliances in the kitchen were quality and easy to use. The parking was good enough, space for 1 car directly out front. Security on site and on call. I appreciated the onsite commitment to recycling. The views were great by the lake. The chalets are perfect. The static caravans are set at the top of the hill so there may be more views if that is your thing. Venue has a Costcutter outside across the road which is well stocked. It is not far from Newport which has all the shops. Your retail and leisure therapy needs can be met within 20 minutes drive away. Buses run regularly to other places of interest.

The lakeside house was in a perfect location. It was modern and clean. The food in the restaurant was amazing in quality and price. We found that all staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept spotless. The indoor pool was a bonus and we had it all to ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and we will be back. Thank you

Large, spacious 4 berth superior caravan, cleaned beautifully for arrival. Tea towel and washing up kit/bin bags left for us. Beds were extremely comfortable and bed linen crisp and clean. Ample kitchen space with necessary items in cupboards: saucepans, frying pan, cheese grater, casserole dishes, plates, glasses and cups. Plenty of cutlery and cooking utensils in drawer. Good tv and the heating was really effective (we put it on during cold spell mid-July). Shower worked fine and had loads of hot water. Everything very clean in bathrooms. I'm allergic to animals and had a normal caravan and had no issues with allergies. Definitely no animal hair anywhere. Parking outside caravan. Park was very quiet and clean and no rats in the mobile home! Staff very courteous. Altogether a brilliant stay and we will definitely go back and would recommend this site to anyone. It was VERY good value for money. No entertainment on when we were there but this is clearly stated on the holiday park website as it starts later in the year. Take your own towels and travel iron as these aren't supplied (again this is stated on the website). The location is lovely, quiet rural area within easy reach of most places. Well stocked Coop just outside entrance of park and bus stop there with buses regularly going along coast to Ryde, stopping off in coastal major towns. Or you can get to Newport and get other tour buses from there.

After reading some of the other reviews we were initially concerned, however our accommodation was clean, the bed linen was fresh, clean and the beds all made up. The kitchen area, cups, cutlery, fridge, chairs, dining table were all clean. The living area was also clean, we walked around in socks and they remained clean. Both bathrooms had been cleaned as well. No uncomfortable smells either. The outside area was clean, off course some leaves etc from the morning winds, chairs were fine. We had a dedicated parking space next to our location. We didn't use any of the onsite facilities as we only used the accommodation as a base and the local pubs provided excellent food.

Absolutely amazing stay, went for my partner’s birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make it as lovely as possible adding banners and rose petals. I booked the deluxe room, which was outstanding, very modern and clean lovely bath and soft bath robes and slippers. They even included these gorgeous chocolate strawberries upon arrival. Bed was huge and super comfortable, air con and heating worked perfectly. Staff so friendly and they cleaned room both days of our stay so had fresh bedding fresh towels and perfect facilities. Everything sparkling clean. No complaints at all, definitely worth the price will definitely be staying again. Thank you for making our stay so special and luxury.

The Grand Hotel is currently undergoing a major refit, which means that the restaurant was shut when we stayed. But the dinner in the delightful bar was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room was very comfortable. I specially liked the thermostat, a touch screen which made it so easy to control the temperature. We had a good night’s sleep and the shower was hot and strong. Breakfast was excellent and good value, as was the whole stay. Convenient for the station, as we’d arrived on the Heart of Wales line, and within strolling distance of the beach, marina and museums.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Grand Hotel in Swansea. The rooms were spotlessly clean, bright, and beautifully maintained, creating a really comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast selection was fantastic — plenty of delicious options, all fresh and perfectly cooked. What really made my visit stand out were the delightful, friendly, and incredibly helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. I couldn’t recommend The Grand Hotel enough — it’s a true gem in Swansea and I’ll definitely be returning!

The staff were fab. As soon as we arrive at the hotel they helped us sort our luggage out in the luggage storage and when we returned they helped us carry it to the room. Each floor has something different for a library to a gym. Fab roof terrace perfect for a chill or enjoy the sunshine. Room was so clean ! Bed was so comfortable, air con, lovely windows shower was not very powerful but a huge bathroom with complementary products. Very minimal storage space. Compemantry coffee and hot chocolate perfect addition!! Huge TV and plenty chargers, great getting ready space. The breakfast was very different to what we have experienced before. You choose from a menu of maybe 8 options. 6 options were no extra charge and 2 had additional charge. You could also get crossiants which were very tasty, toast and fruit for free. The hot drinks options were nor the best you could get a plain coffee for free but it was awful or you could pay extra for other coffee options. The portions sizes for the menu options were quite small apart from the full English breakfast. Brilliant transport link two tube stations within 10 minutes.

I recently stayed at the New Road Hotel in Whitechapel, London, and was thoroughly impressed. The room was exceptionally comfortable, with a well-thought-out layout that made the space both stylish and functional. The bed was incredibly cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was a highlight—fantastic variety and great quality. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, making the experience even more enjoyable. The location is perfect, with easy access to transport links and plenty of great spots to explore nearby. Whether for business or leisure, I’d highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay in London.

Room was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Jacuzzi was a good size. We needed wine glasses and plates when we arrived and the staff member on reception brought them to us with no issues. We chose the grab bag breakfast which included a hot sandwich, pastries, juice, yoghurt, fruit and snack bars. We spent the following day in Alnwick looking around the shops and into Barter Books. We would definitely come back in the future and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The garden pods are a must! We loved it here. We were greeted by site manager who was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Our pod was lovely, with direct access to a small secluded bit of garden where we could read and have a chat. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and a well-stocked coffee/tea section. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and worth every penny. We arranged for breakfast to be dropped off rather than walk to the nearby pub – a nice treat to have your breakfast bun handed to you first thing. The nearby gatsro pub, The Joiner’s Arms, is great too. While we were there, we enjoyed a lovely walk in the beach and a stroll around the lovely village but most importantly, enjoyed a relaxing time in our pod. Highly recommended.

Newton Hall is lovely set in beautiful grounds. Our room had an amazing view of Beadnell Bay. The room was very spacious and bed was comfortable. Staff very friendly. Breakfast at The Joiners was exceptional.

The accommodation "pods" were well-appointed and a bit quirky although initial impression from the outside wasn't great. As we were on a walk (and different accommodation each night), our luggage was sent on ahead via local luggage transfer company. When it arrived, staff had taken our cases to our "pod" for us. Breakfast was either in the main house or down the road at The Joiners Arms. We chose the house. Excellent breakfast: lots of good quality choice, busy staff a bit over-run as many of us descended at the same time. Loved the whole house (architecture, style, furnishings) and grounds (various garden sections). We had a wander. Everything was ready for a wedding the day after. Lovely venue for a wedding. All the staff were engaging and welcoming: in particular, the young woman at the reception desk and those at breakfast. Dinner at The Joiners Arms, part of the same company (down a narrow road): excellent meal - a shared fish dish was really tasty.

We had a very pleasant country stay in Elveden Inn. We only stayed one night to be within reach of Bury St Edmonds of which we had heard and read good things and which proved to be justified. One of us is Coeliac and providing gluten food presented no problem at dinner and breakfast. It was particularly reassuring that the waiting staff confirmed the fact when they were serving gluten free food. We stayed in Barn Owl which was immaculate with a very comfortable bed. We live in a quiet village, so, with the windows open, we noticed some traffic noise from the ‘B’ road which runs past the Inn but very little could be heard of the much busier A11 dual carriageway further away. The whole ambience of Elveden Inn, both the building and the staff is pleasant and friendly with excellent service professionally offered. It has to be said that we visited at a fairly quiet time but a small conference party assembling while we breakfasted did not intrude nor cause delays. The food at dinner and breakfast was very tasty and well presented with a reasonable, although not wide, choice. A small supplementary menu added to the selection. Dogs are welcome and are allowed in bedrooms and the bar area of the restaurant. There are several Tesla EV charging points in the car park with more coming on stream soon. There is one double Pod Point charger. Altogether Elveden Inn gets top marks and we recommend it.

My wife and I stayed here on a short break along with our dog. And we really enjoyed our stay. We arrived early, and were expecting to wait to check in. But the lady on reception said it was not a problem and checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was a good size, and was clean and tidy. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was nicely appointed. We ate dinner in the hotel on our first night, and area we were sat in with our dog was very pleasant. The food was superb and service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast on both mornings was lovely and nicely cooked. We enjoyed all our choices. We could not fault any part of stay. The hotel is nicely decorated and seems well maintained. The staff we met were all friendly and helpful. And the food and drink was enjoyable. We would happily stay here again and have no problem recommending it.

Outstanding hotel in all respects. Rooms were first class, comfortable, peaceful and with little touches of quality throughout. My check in experience was second to none, truly welcoming and even guided to my room which wasn't expected. A well stocked bar in a classic country pub style bar area was the perfect area to chat with a colleague before a fantastic dinner of camembert followed by the Norfolk delicacy of Ham Egg and Chips :) Breakfast (Spicy Eggs) was delicious also. I would highly recommend this hotel, moments off the A11 but once there you would never know...

Well booked this weekend Thursday to Sunday in December 23 for the wife’s birthday treat, I have never been to Torquay so had no knowledge of the hotels in the area, oh my god how lucky were we? Our accommodation was room 1 which is the cottage at the side of the hotel which is so private, with its own front terrace, Jacuzzi, wooded area with sea views, wow! The food on our stay both at breakfast and dinner was the best we have experienced at a hotel and we have stayed in many in the UK and Europe, compliments to the Chef, the staff were fantastic and we could not have expected this experience. Well done, highly recommended!

We received a warm welcome from this characterful country house hotel nestled in the steep slopes above Maidencombe beach. The hotel has an attractive sea-facing terrace located over a pleasant garden and ample parking. Our 'Superior' room was spacious, comfortable, well presented and spotlessly clean. The hotel had many positives but the standout feature had to be the quality of our 3 course dinner which was exceptional. The waiting staff were prompt, personable and professional. A short but sweet one night stay for us we hope to repeat. As a middle-aged couple we felt very comfortable in the relaxed but upbeat atmosphere of this friendly hotel.

What a gem of a hotel nestled on a quiet road leading down to the beach about 15 mins outside Torquay. We had a lovely room at the top of the house with a little sun terrace. The room was lovely, clean, nice en-suite and all amenities provided. We had dinner at the restaurant, 3 course meal and the standard was exceptional, my fillet steak was to die for. Breakfast was equally fabulous and the service was impeccable. The staff did everything to make our stay very enjoyable with a shout out to Craig, Karen and Molly. Will definitely be back

What a wonderful hotel. Its a real place of peace, tranquility, quality and luxury. Spotlessly clean, excellent service from friendly staff, top quality restaurant with a wide range of options all available in a perfect setting. The terrace bar looks over the beautiful gardens with the sea in distance. Its hard to tear yourself away, especially with a chilled G & T in hand. I would definitely recommend this hotel for peaceful and luxurious break. Can't wait to return.

The lady on reception was pleasant and friendly, she offered to upgrade us due to the hotel Being quiet for an extra £30 per night, we decided as it was my husband's birthday wto agree. We had a roof terrace with a wallpapered room, the original room had only a window and painted walls. The room was clean and nicely decorated with a comfy bed. It stipulated that if we required a meal we would have to request this before 6.30 pm the day before. As we had been out on the Saturday walking most of the day enjoying the beautiful surroundings we arrived back at the hotel at 8.30 . We decided to have at the bar around 8.30, i explained that although we where late asking would it be possible for Sunday lunch in the 4 star Hotel the following day as it was my husband's birthday. I understood i was late asking. The guy said that they had lots of bookings and that as we had not asked 2 hours previously it may not be possible. We said we would wait on the terrace for him to check. We left after an hour to go to bed without his return. I feel that it would have been polite to follow up our request. We stayed for 5 nights and upgraded but then decided not to eat there as we felt the service could have been slightly more attentive. All in all a wonderful holiday and a lovely environment.

Once we found how to get into the car park, it was great! Very modern & clean. Reception staff were excellent & so friendly & helpful. Car parking pricing is a bit steep but it was right by the hotel and safe. The room was very clean with all amenities in place. The bed was large too! The restaurant food was amazing. We ate in there the first night and while the price was rather high I felt, the quality was outstanding. The staff were super friendly & very attentive. They were really ever so polite and friendly, especially Mrtikka (I do apologise if I’ve got that wrong) She was super helpful and an absolute asset to the hotel.

This location is in the middle of the Center of Bristol and very near to mostly everything you need. It was so convenient to walk to the coach station, shopping center and clubs. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was so tasty and cooked fresh. The staff was amazing and willing to help. Good quality hotel and good service delivered. The staff was friendly, helpful, kind, understanding and they made sure we are happy. We've been to lots of hotels , but we are happy to say this is the best hotel by far. From we arrived staff was very welcoming in everyway, it was a joy staying at this hotel and we definitely will be staying at this hotel again without a doubt.

Always have an enjoyable stay here. Rich very welcoming as always. Lovely room which was upgraded. Spotlessly clean and spacious. Breakfast was hot, well presented and fresh. All staff are a pleasure to be around and always ready to assist. Hotel very well located within easy reach of Harbourside and shops, bars, restaurants.

The hotel is in the process of being refurbished and so only the 6th and 7th floor were in use. Our room was very clean with quality bathroom fittings. The bedroom area was large with everything you would expect, a safe, hairdryer, free water in the mini fridge, iron/ironing board, tea/biscuits etc. We found the matress was a little firm, therefore not as comfortable as we would have liked. The staff at the hotel are first class, very friendly and helpful. A really great choice at breakfast from a self service buffet style to cooking you porridge or pancakes! The hotel is well located in central Bristol and the car park is directly next door, park on the second floor and it gives you easy access to the hotel itself. We enjoyed our stay.

Another fantastic stay at an excellent hotel.. From check in with Richard which was expertly and speedily sorted, To great coffee served by Privine at the bar, room was immaculately presented and spotless.. bed was comfy and cosy with a great nights sleep to boot- A fantastic breakfast which hosted by Ratika who was looking after all the guests like a true professional, thanks to the kitchen team who prepared a breakfast which set me up for the whole day… Check out was carried out swiftly and professionally by the team in the morning. Dear Managment team, you really do have a fantastic hotel staffed by hard working fantastic lovely staff Kind regards Chris W

First time staying here, but would definitely stay again. I chose 61 due to the good reviews on Hotels.com. Wonderful quiet location. The staff are so friendly, helpful and polite. I ate in the restaurant, slow roasted beef. Good sized portion and well cooked. Reasonably priced too. The room, 202, was just right for someone travelling alone. The WiFi connection and quality was easy and an acceptable speed The bathroom was clean and tidy. The toilet has a soft close lid so no lids crashing down if you forget to close it when you get up at stupid or clock for a wee. The matteress was very comfortable, some hotels skimp on a decent matteress. 61 spent well on the quality of the mattress. The pillows were ok too. A couple of small disappointments were the hot water tap provided very cold water, though the shower was very warm? The room was a bit cold, however, I can understand the hotel being prudent with their heating costs. Would I stay again? YES

Our one night stay at 61 Durham was very nice. The hotel is located about 10 minutes drive from Durham city centre in very nice grounds on the edge of Pittington Village. Parking was free and only a few steps from the main entrance. We were allocated room 218 on the second floor, an attic room with a sloping ceiling overlooking the lawned rear garden. The room was clean and comfortable with a small but nice bathroom and a decent shower with really good water pressure. Our bed was soft and comfortable and the room was quiet so we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast in the orangery dining room was very good and the staff both at reception and generally throughout our stay were very friendly and attentive. A really good option if you're visiting Durham and want somewhere close but without the noise and bustle of the city.

Excellent breakfast, continental and made to order cooked options. Had a delicious dinner the first night. Lovely quiet rural location, but also very close to drive to Durham centre. Staff all really helpful and friendly. Very good value for quality of rooms, decor and the hotel is a beautiful building. Really comfy bed with lovely pillows. Great water pressure on shower.

Very comfortable bed and pillows, very clean and nicely decorated, friendly and welcoming staff, breakfast was exceptional, beautiful outdoor space and walks nearby, great car park, shower felt like I was standing under a powerful waterfall (amazing!). I just stayed with my 16yr old daughter overnight for the uni Open Day. It was a nice hotel in an old building with a well kept garden. Room was comfy and clean with nice features like a window seat, newly decorated bathroom. It had a lovely sash window but peeling paintwork on the outside window sill made it look more shabby than it needed to. A few things in service could be better to be 4 star. We arrived late evening 9.30pm and had said what train we’d be on. Reception was empty when we arrived with a notice to ring a mobile number if you needed anything. We rang it and the phone was at the desk. Check in was fine and we were told where breakfast was but nothing else. Eg that the lounge had drinks etc. Breakfast was very good and the staff were lovely but no-one there for a while to check you in but clear you had to as there was a list as you came in. It took a while to come and take our order for hot breakfast including coffee. So there were just a few little touches that I would’ve expected if it’s going to call itself ‘luxury’ 4 star. But we still had a very comfy stay and would stag again.

I’m currently staying at the Crowne Plaza Ealing, London for a 29-night stay, and this is my 4th night here. So far, the experience has been excellent. The rooms are clean, bright, spacious, and filled with natural light, creating a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Room service has been prompt and reliable, with the staff always attentive to any requests. A special mention goes to Pedro, Britton, Sadie, Saad, and Mani at the reception, they’ve all been incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. Their consistent hospitality truly makes the stay feel welcoming and personal. Location is next to hanger lane underground station which is very very convenient. If there’s one area that could be improved, it would be the food and breakfast menu (same everyday), which currently has somewhat limited options. Adding more variety would make the dining experience even better, especially for longer stays like mine. Overall, I’m very happy with my stay so far. The hotel is comfortable, the staff are outstanding, and it’s a great place to stay in West London

We had a wonderful stay at Crowne Plaza London Ealing. The hotel is clean, classy, and very well maintained. The location is perfect, right next to Hanger Lane station, making it easy to reach central London or travel outside the city. Parking is convenient, and breakfast has everything you need. A special thanks to Shain at reception, who was absolutely amazing. Her warm welcome, kindness, and genuine support made our stay feel truly special. The entire team was friendly and helpful, which is why we always come back whenever we visit London.

The hotel was very clean, great room service, amazing coffee stand in the room, very comfortable beds and stuffs in the room. Perfect location to reach the city. Friendly, helpful and amazing staff. Very quiet and happy place. I will be staying here again next time. Thanks so much.

I arrived at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ealing just after 6pm on Thursday 19th June; my room wasn't available... hotel was full so housekeeping were still preparing rooms. Receptionist Shahin apologised and gave me a card for a complimentary drink in the bar downstairs... went downstairs with my luggage and ordered a gin & slimline tonic with ice... also reserved a table in the Restaurant for 7:30pm... went back up to Reception and my Room #108 was available - received 2 key cards and went up to my room. Very large room, comfortable double bed, lots of storage, great Samsung TV, fridge, large bathroom with sink, toilet, bath & shower and HVAC (air conditioning) was perfect - kept my room very cool throughout day and night. I had breakfast every morning, dinner & drinks on Thursday 19th and afternoon lunch & drinks on Friday 20th and Monday 23rd. Meals were delicious and Customer Service First Class. Some names of the Staff who served me - Ana, Umang, Pedro, Britton and Sadie... there were many more staff who looked after me very well. I used Angel Cars for my trips back from Wembley Stadium, to Kensington High Street on Saturday, Twickenham on Sunday and trip back to Euston Train Station on Tuesday 24th.

We were surprised by the choice of breakfast as we weren't expecting a hot option and it was very good. There was some confusion with a coach party and the timings for Sunday breakfast which meant that a lot of guests wanted it at the same time, BUT the staff handled the situation brilliantly and everyone still got the breakfast that they wanted. All the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel suited our needs and we will return again.

Booked via Booking.com months ago, when I bought tickets for me and my teenage daughter, to see Sam Fender in Newcastle. I paid £38.50 on booking and was non-refundable. I'll be honest, I didn't have the highest of hopes given the price I paid, or on first impressions of the area when we arrived. That being said, my daughter and I only needed a bed for the night and a shower, so we weren't particularly concerned that is was basic. How surprised were we? Staff were so friendly and helpful, and our room was ready at 12noon, as we requested an early check in, so that we could freshen up after a 3 hour drive from Cheshire. There was a £5 charge for 24 hour parking which was super easy to pay via the device at reception. The room was excellent, very clean and tidy with a comfy bed and pillows. The bathroom was fully equipped with toiletries etc. When we arrived back at 12.30am, we were chuffed to bits that we could get a freshly cooked pizza from reception. Please ignore the negative reviews, if a cheap and cheerful base is what you require, then this is the place for you. I worked in the hotel industry for many years and I believe you get what you pay for. This hotel exceeded all my expectations, and for that gets a 5 from me!

The room was clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a long day. The staff was incredibly welcoming and always willing to assist with any questions or requests. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
